Not even a mention of George McGovern who would win the nomination!
It's 1972. Nobody can beat Nixon!
"Who can beat Nixon?" Himself apparently
Who can beat Nixon? ::John F. Kennedy enters the chat::
Yeah, by stuffing the ballot boxes in Texas and Chicago...
JFK we all saw how he screwed up Cuba in 1962-2
And how Kennedy sleep walked us into Vietnam
Nixon is the man in 1972
I'm reading "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trial 72" by Hunter S Thompson and this clip is fascinating. In the early parts of the book, which is mainly a compilation of articles about the campaign, Thompson writes about how Big Ed looked like the unstoppable candidate but a lesser known George McGovern was the only truly honest man among the bunch.

Had RFK lived, he could've beat Nixon in '72.
Laughable. Pat buchanan thinks he be even easier to beat because he was a inferior Kennedy when comparing him to his deceased brother JKF.
Why couldn’t he have defeated Nixon in 1968?
@@christopherfanelli8821 RFK was assassinated in 1968 while running for president
