  • Before getting the car I had already seen something similar in my dad's 4Runner, but did not use it thinking that being a "Luxury sports sedan" it wouldn't change much. After trying the ECT PWR mode and seeing the huge difference in performance I was hooked right away. So, I decided to make a video about it so other can learn its pros and cons.

Can definitely tell the difference in response time.

How I forgot about this? I’ve never used it with the 10year ownership I had with the car 😂

*I purchased a 2012 yesterday but the steering wheel feels too heavy and hard to turn when compared to my ES. Is there a way make the steering normal and soft and easy to turn?*

It could be a problem with the power steering, because the Is doesn’t have a button to do that. I would get that checked out ASAP

I wished there was a way to relocate the button to a place more convenient to activate it. I literally have to look when I want to turn it on...

I just guess where it is most times😂

@bluecoopermotors Same here. Just guess. It's in the right place on my friend's GS though.. so wondering why Lexus can't put it on the right spot in this car. But it drives much better if you are in the mood for a spirited drive. Otherwise, keep it to normal.

I haven’t used it in a while cause I have to get new tyres and don’t want to be sliding every time I take a sharp corner, but as soon as I get the new tyres imma be enjoying every bit of the car

@bluecoopermotors what tires you planning to get I'm on a 2021 (I think) Michelin Premacy. Still running 17 inches for comfort. 225/45/17 front and 235/45/17 rear setup.

I’m still deciding between the Yokohama Advan Sport A/S + or the Kumho Ectsa, or to get a set of wheels with new tires😂 if I keep the ones I have the sizes would be 225/40/18 on the front and 255/40/18 for the rear

Is it a good idea to be driving fast and / or racing your car with the power mode on? Any future engine problem for pushing the car limits?

    • @bluecoopermotors

The Power mode only changes when the shifts are done to make the car feel and handle more agile, so it is not gonna cause any engine trouble

I talked about it at the end of the video… but it actually isnt that bad compared to normal mode. Still don’t use it in heavy traffick cause it will gulp it up

There's no difference when you learn how to drive conservatively with it on. I've noticed no difference in fuel economy

    Is the transmission a CVT?

    • @bluecoopermotors
      @bluecoopermotors  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

No, the transmission has 6 forward gears to change which gear you are in, in CVT’s a system driven belts would be doing that.

No not a cvt , it has a proper gearbox
