The problem is these cars are driven by old man. You must set the transmission. It never gets old. It's like driving a go-kart. The SL500 is as smooth as glass with the suspension. Here in the United States it's about status. It's not uncommon a Ferrari being driven 5 miles below the speed limit. Biggest thing on the downside is getting to know your car dtc's. Most of the time they don't appear again Mercedes is a bit finicky they throw minor trouble codes almost bimonthly, ... bottom line is don't freak out. Do get a icarsoft mb2 .

Excellent production quality. Audio was perfect. Voice and engine song in ideal balance even top down. A testament to how well engineered the R230 is. Mercedes really made the turn of the century SL to be a profound virtuoso engineering achievement. At a speed of 80mph an SL65 has a driving range of 600 miles. Armed with cruise control and overdrive, it's larger 24 gallon tank delivers extreme long distance driving at 25 mpg from it's twin turbo V12. Deep insight into the upper spec capabilities.
Oh here's a fix for the leaky R230 C-pillar if you haven't found it. I do suspect that the interior mold was from sitting too long so I hope you have the trunk battery on a trickle charger and drive it once a week. th-cam.com/video/bvdXYHt3AYg/w-d-xo.html

@@sparksnvolts6855 Sure man. It's a similar performing SL without the power roll bar or spare tire. It does have more room inside shoulder to shoulder. Steering feel is numb compared to your SL350 because it's electrically assisted not hydraulic. It also lacks the 8 remote locking interior compartments of the R230. However the fuel milage is noticeably better from the all aluminum body because it's lighter.

Great video beautiful car, if the c pillars are leaking check the drain plugs and make sure the rubber seal is cleaned that should solve it.
