My opinion on the 8 Rainbow Road List 8 - Mario Kart Super Circuit - Doesn’t sound exciting 7 - Mario Kart 8/Deluxe - It’s just alright to me 6 - Super Mario Kart - This one is ok 5 - Mario Kart Double Dash - This one is pretty good to listen to 4 - Mario Kart 7 - Feels like an adventure to listen through 3 - Mario Kart 64 - This theme is nostalgic 2 - Mario Kart DS - This one is a banger 1 - Mario Kart Wii - Come on It’s Rainbow Road on Mario Kart Wii. How can you say no to this theme?
To me Mario Kart 8's theme is a clear step and a half below the rest. It's still a good theme, and this isn't just because of nostalgia, but it just doesn't strike me as being anywhere near as memorable as any of the others. As for the other 7, I'd have a really hard time ranking them since they're all so amazing.
You know, you are lucky to see your favourite theme in 1st because mine is only in 6th. :-( Double Dash theme was the best until Mario Kart Wii. And Mario Kart Wii was the best until Mario Kart 7. Now Double Dash is in 3rd.

The theme isn't that good, and in Time Trails I can complete 3 laps in less than 1 minute. It's not that good, but it's something. 7. Super Mario Kart. It's really good, sounds like the ultimate challenge, but it's not as good as the others. 6. Double Dash!!. Yes, it's this low because I like the other ones slightly better. This one is a medley of the N64's, and it's really good. Speaking of N64... 5. Mario Kart 64. It has a great tune, but there's just not enough instruments. It's solely on whistling, and there needs to be a bit of diversity in there. 4. Mario Kart 8. It's a sweet melody that's pure ear candy and easily memorial. The only problem with the track itself is that it's just not that good in terms of layout and symbolism. It's basically artificial rainbow. What happened to the true rainbows? 3. Mario Kart DS. It was my first MK game, and still playing it occasionally today, it's glorious to hear such beautiful track. 2. Mario Kart Wii. This is just astounding. No comment, and it's just... Wow. 1. 3DS. I'm amazed to hear to such music piece. It's simply divine. It's pleasant to the ears, beautiful notes, and a slight re-makeover of the N64 and DD!! themes. It's just perfect. And the change in music on the moon and the face paced rush to the finish of the final lap... I have no words to say.
Jackson Draco I agree that the one from 7 is WAY to low, but the one from DS deserved it. When I was little I was the only one who enjoyed MK Wii and I remember people would not SHUT UP about MK DS, it was SO OVERRATED. Sure I loved the game, but it was very overrated. The Rainbow Road from DS is to simple, the other Rainbow Roads are MUCH BETTER, and the soundtrack sucks. The only Rainbow Road soundtrack that could possibly be worse then the one from DS is the one from Super Circuit.

DS was ok for it's time. One thing about each of the Rainbow Roads throughout the years is that they compliment the game they are from by emphasizing on the features added to the series from that game.
Jay S Deluxe was never suppose to be Mario Kart 9. And how can the game with most courses, most characters, most vehicle customization options, most battle modes and best visuals be the worst in the franchise? As a new game, yes, it is very disappointing. However, as I said earlier, it is not suppose to be Mario Kart 9. So saying it's the worst Mario Kart is just plain stupid. double dash had the best music in general. it's not obvious if you have bad speakers.

FOREVER mario kart double dash rainbow road is the better in music and designs of the circuit
I bop my head to the rhythm of the themes but the only one I don't, which I'd put last, is SNES rainbow road, then GBA, 3ds, n64,
Wii u/ switch, Wii, GameCube and then Ds on top, so the fact that ds is not even above SNES rainbow road just seems like an insult
