- Nancy Grace McCrink
At the young age of 41, Nancy went to be with her beloved Jesus on Dec. 8, 2022, 2
two weeks after discovering she had a cancerous tumor in her brain.
Even though Nancy lived only a short time on this earth, she lived a very full life. Nancy and her husband Damian served as missionaries in Jamaica, Portugal, and Mozambique. They also served as youth pastors and young adult pastors, then planted a church outside of Chicago, where they served for ten years before moving to the south. So many people have been impacted by her.
To know Nancy is to love Nancy. She loved people with no strings attached. She saw the best in others and cared for people by opening up her home, but most of all her heart. Her life was a living sacrifice to Jesus; Nancy was a faithful servant of God. Now, she is in glory with Jesus, the one she truly loved most. I can picture her awe and wonder as she walks the streets of gold, hearing Jesus say to her, “Well done, my good
and faithful servant.”
Nancy leaves behind her husband, Damian, and three children, Levi, Jade, and Jude; her parents, Mark and Pam Biel, and her siblings and their spouses: Jessie (Jim) Popovich, Emily (Trevor) Harnett, and Jordan (Danielle) Biel. In addition, Nancy will be
deeply missed by a large extended family of both the Biels and the McCrinks. Nancy also had so many friends and acquaintances - it is impossible to count!
It is so difficult to capture her life in a few sentences but in the words of those who loved her the most and knew her the best, She was always serving her family and others. She loved family games and going around the table and making everyone share what they were thankful for or what they loved about each other - whether you wanted to or not! She - as well as her house - was always “put together”. Nancy embraced
everyone as a friend and treated everyone with dignity. Extending kindness, love, and compassion was as normal as breathing for her. She often spoke of heaven and her Lord Jesus with her eyes raised and a big smile. She “eagerly awaited His return,” so we know she is overjoyed to see Him in all His glory. To have Nancy touch you was like
having Jesus touch you. We are all happy that Nancy is safe in the arms of Jesus, but we are all a little upset she got there first! We celebrate her life and can’t wait until we join her in heaven.
