I’m remembering years ago as a schooler. We used to mess with the bus drivers by ringing the bell on the the causeway. Of course nobody lives there. One evening about 7pm it was already dark we were on our way home and some guys kept ringing the bell...we were messing with the wrong driver at the wrong time. He stopped the bus about a mile from the bridge. Got out of his seat and face the passengers. He pointed toward bridge and said “ unoo se dah bridge deh me wi tek the bus straight over it!! Unoo nuh play wid me!” One look into those bloodshot eyes we know he was serious. Needless to say it was quiet journey for the rest of the causeway. In fact when we got to Portmore people were afraid to ring the bell for their stops lol

Omg. This video brings back so much good memories. I'm from waterford but the last time I saw causeway bridge, they closed it and was doing repair that should tell you something lol. I've not been back home in yrs. The toll rd I've never been on it. I've only travel on old harbor rd. And omg portmore mall the outside look the same I can just imagine what the inside looks like. You just made my night. I love driving with you. I'll be home next christmas and I cant wait for my kids to see it.
I still don't get it. Hardly ANY street signs. Even in the city. Seems like you can park on the side of the street in either direction...Nice city though.
Ocho Rios to Montego Bay is more of a beautiful ride. No surprise, it's the two cities represent Jamaica on a international level. When you want to show off Jamaica to your overseas friends or extended family, you take them to Ocho Rios or Montego Bay; it's just that simple. Hey, don't even think about it. Beach has nothing to do with it. Ocho Rios and Montego Bay wish they had the beauty of a Havana or Curacao's capital of Williamstad- Architecturally speaking, but it's difficult when you have two resort cities with only 150 years between them, compare to Havana and Williamstad with over 700 year history between them. Sorry, we can't dugged up Port Royal.
There's a good reason why Kingston doesn't have the architecture of Havana and Curacao, the 1907 Kingston earthquake which destroyed 85% of the structures. Kingston had to be, hurriedly rebuilt with over 200, 000 homeless.
