Can you imagine how people feel after meeting Huell. Just look at the respect, enthusiasm, and genuine kindness he shows each person he meets. We need more Huells in this world, and it would be a much better place. Truly a California's Gold.
I have a friend who met Huell, totally at random, three times. While he was out doing shows. Twice in Palm Springs and once in Los Angeles. He said the third time he went out and played the lottery that night.
What a perfect Huell Howser show. Very informative and quite a touching story about this family restaurant that brings so many people together. I went for the first time yesterday (4/22/23) and I will be back with my family and friends.
Huell Howser (R.I.P.) Thank You Huell, you did GREAT work. This show on the Tallyrand was fantastic. After seeing the show I called the Tallyrand for the possibility of speaking with Karen or Mark realizing that it was early Pacific time on a Sunday morning and they probably were not in. I ask to speak to a manager and was politely transferred to Francisco. I told him that I just watched Huell Howser's show on the Tallyrand and what an incredible story it is. I ask Francisco how long he had been working there, and it didn't surprise me at all when he said 30 years. In the show Marissa said she had been there about 20 years. Thank you Mark, Karen and Marissa (your spouses also) for sharing a heart warming story of your parents Al and Delores's creation and how you and all your staff have carried on their passion for so many years. Good Job everyone!!! If I'm ever in Burbank CA. I'll stop by, introduce myself, have a turkey sandwich and leave wearing aTallyrand baseball cap. Francisco, great speaking with you today. 9/8/2024 JoeB. Florida USA 😎 Thank you all.
@@KennyboyGM Yes, I suppose so. But, my experience was to work for one small office for 42 yeas! The owners both died, so I "retired" in 2019, just before COVID messed up the economy.
I had a friend who ate there all the time, and I joined him on a few occasions. Yup, the restaurant is quite good and has a great comfy feel. I haven't been there in several years but now I want to go back, if for no other reason than to soak up some of Huell's wonderful spirit.
R I P Huell you always did a great job . I used to eat here when my dad had a restaurant down there street from here. Always good food and atmosphere . And the food sales representative I knew because he did my dads place when they were called Ryhoff . Oh the memories

Well, considering he’s been dead since 2013, I think people would freak out if they saw Huell out and about! 🤣
RIP Huell. Thank you for sharing your love for the unknown corners of California.
Unknown corners? This place is right smack dab in the LA area.
Huell and the Tallyrand go side by side simply wonderful!!
I went there today for the first time. Thanks Huell

Why is that every time after watching Huell do a show you just have to smile and enjoy some happy time. Guess he had that knack.
