I work at a assisted living facility and I’m able let the residents listen to whatever they want . Well a man that is over 100 years old started singing this song. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find it and I DID!!! He cried!!! I love being able to make people happy!! Thank you TH-cam!!!!
Thank you for touching my heart so deeply. Stay Beautiful..."We love you for this, for being you and loving us as you do so well". The music is everything sometimes...
When I was a little girl, my grandpa used to sing this song in church. He would stand up, eyes closed and sing this song from inside his soul. I still see him singing this song in my heart. I truly believe he is in the place of peace, waiting for Christ to take him up to Heaven. He really did send timber to Heaven on a daily basis.
The great Roscoe Robinson! One of the greatest black voices of all time! I wish this style of singing were still popular today. So much skill, range and soul. Unreal.
praise God.....just beautiful.........love the old gospel sang from the heart passionate and loving an serving God thanks you tube for these great classic gospels God bless 😊
There is one thing I have to say, all of the good gospel singer's comes from Mississippi. I am from Mississippi myself, and I love this song. There is nothing like a good old time gospel songs. I grew up on listening to gospel music, and I love it.
Daddy, momma, my husband, 2 brothers & 1 sister!!!!! I miss you all!!!!! Continue to rest in the arms of Sweet Jesus Christ. You all will never be forgotten💝💝💝💝💝💝
I purchased this cd for my late husband 1yr before he passed suddenly of a massive heart attack,he loved to play this song and I pray that he had sent up his timber and made peace with God. we miss him so much though he went as he always wanted to go.
My Uncle the late great Rev. W.L McCadney would sing this song @ his church and have tears everywhere, now my brother sings it , this song tells a lot, I'm truly trying to send my timber up, I want to see my love ones in HEAVEN..... thank you for sharing
My family enjoyed these pioneers and many more thanks to our dad. What an experience and time....still enjoy listening to them and giving my grands the same experience. They love it !
I'm an old white guy andI never got to hear this kind of music much, but I have to say if the lyrics, the singing and the rhythm of this song bring you to tears it's got to be great music. If they have people still singing this way I would love to know where they are, I would love to hear this live.
For deliverance church... and everyone who takes the time to help those in assisted living facilities (and anywhere where people are incarcerated one way or another), we haven't forgotten you, it will get better, help is coming! And the music you love and need, you will have it. You will get through the days and nights with more peace. There are a lot of other souls that really care about you. The world will see His Light and Love filling those places that were once seemed so hopeless. We're coming to help you. Don't lose faith...Praise God...Thank you Jesus..We love you.
Let's all endeavor to send up our timbers as these dear men did, trusting and obeying the Lord. "For we walk by faith, not by sight."~2 Corinthians 5:7 WOW! thought Rosco had died, but he's still alive at age 91! How many others play this at least 3X in a row?
My auntie just passed on 1-15-23 on MLKs birthday and this was one of her FAVORITE songs...didn't know who made it till today...and I WILL be singing this at her funeral...LOVE U AUNTIE MARGARET ❤
I truly love this song only heard it twice before but it reminds me of my dad it reminds me of him knowing that he was getting ready to go back to God the song makes me very happy because gentlemen have such beautiful voices thank you thank you God bless you
This song and "In That Awful Hour" are my 2 favorites by them. But they could do no wrong when it came to singing Gospel. They were truly angels incarnate.
Oh my God how this brings tears. My dear mother used to wear this record out back when it was 45 and 33 records and album she used to wear that needle out. RIH mom love you can't wait to get there that's why i'm sending up my Timber i don't know when my time morning, night, or noon but i am preparing daily the best that i can.
The first time I heard this was at my grandfather's funeral in 1994 and the last time I heard it was in 2005 at my grandmother's funeral I miss them both so much they don't make gospel music like this no more.
that kind of gospel is non existent all this hip hop mess, I don't get. the older generation song with purpose and with no acts but today's gospel some of it, I just smh
Not sure if you can but tune into WHUR (Howard University). 96.3 radio or via their website EVERY Sunday morning starting at 6:00a.m. with Patrick Ellis. We have been listening since 1979. God Bless.9
My father used to sing in a group back in the sixties and we used to travel with jim. I met a lot of these singers, but Mr. Robinson was great. Miss those times
Archie Brownlee knew what he was doing when he chose the voice of Roscoe Robinson to replace him ... Roscoe's delivery here is incredibly beautiful and moving.
I understand. Once I've played it once I have to play it about 12 times. We must keep our eyes on that eternal home and not give up the good fight, trusting the Lord every day
This man sung this song at my dad’s funeral yesterday and I lost my mind!!!! Cause my uncle sung this very song at my grandmas funeral!!! OMG LAWD HAVE MERCY- I love you daddy😢😢😢
This is a beautiful rendition that showcases the wonderful, melodic, emotional styles of a time long moved into the past, although which sounds as good today as they did back then. To me, there has never been a decent reason for groups not to continue in this style. Everyone who hears a song like this finds great pleasure and various levels of inspiration, so what would be the purpose for a discontinuation? After all, and this is still just me, why not add new styles into the mix than believe we must replace one with another? Isn't there room for them all? This kind of singing, with a slightly slower vibrato and excellent representations of instruments using the old harmony style, cannot, nor should not, ever be relegated to old time music, or yesterday's music, or anything short of excellent for the discriminating ear.
no one can touch this song after these men got through singing it this is truly one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life mr. Roscoe and those men's beautiful Harmony is so beautiful
I miss all the old good songs with Lyrics you can sing along and Glorify God with,in the night and during the day a song rang out of your very soul and remebered your Good father .
