Wahhh, wahhh, wahhh…”. All the passengers were staring in shock. I tell you, my wife was never so embarrassed in her life.
I had a drunk woman sit next to be at the last night of dinner in a specialty restaurant crying over it. I can’t believe I had to pay to sit next to that nonsense.
One time I went on a back to back cruise, so 2 cruises together, one east and one west carribbean. The BEST feeling you'll ever get in cruising is watching everyone else leave while you're one of the few to stay.
@Sandy I can't remember lmao, pretty sure west was my favorite tho. East gets repetitive and boring, but west you get some interesting stops such as places in Mexico, and if you get down far enough, Aruba and curacao
@Tom Simpson same. Find a remote job you like that pays good and work out a deal with a cruise line to stay on there permanently. They do offer deals like that if you look in the right places
All of these comments about leaving a cruise is so true. It’s really heartbreaking when you leave a cruise. I’m gonna go on a whole lot more cruises when I’m older. But you know, you should be lucky that you were able to go on that cruise. Some people don’t get to do it at all. I went on Oasis of the seas last year and then again this year and now my family and I already have a 7 night Symphony of the seas cruise booked for next year.

As a travel advisor and an experience cruiser, never leave your bags with the crew to get off the ship. Just take them yourselves. Letting the crew take them will make your disembarkation process longer than it really needs to be. I’ve always taken my luggage with me and had no problems disembarking
@@danielblumenthalhoffman2585 taking your luggage with you literally means you just check out and walk away whenever you want to. That’s why I always suggest clients to do that. Sometimes you may want to explore the city you’ve disembarked in and you may not have a lot of time until you leave
@@ericasun75 I know, but in my cruise a couple of weeks ago, they started letting express walk offs at 7:30, and by 7:50, when we were done with breakfast (early shift), they announced all bags were ready. All that schlepping doesn't seem worth 20 minutes.
I admit, I’m not sad when I leave the ship, I’m more thankful instead Because it proves I got what I wanted and returned safely, plus I can’t leave my doggies and kittens home forever!
I went on Spectrum OTA in Oct 2022 and on debarkation day I was so sad I literally teared up as I was walking on the gangway because that meant the next day I had to go back to my normal life and work
For a few weeks after the cruise I felt kinda depressed. We did a 7 night cruise to Alaska in September with friends and family. Such a good vacation! Getting back to regular life and work is boring. I gotta book another cruise soon!
the big covid thing is (mostly) over, it's almost impossible for the ship to sink, and cruise ships are extremely fun and you don't want to go back home.
Not to mention the overwhelming feeling of fatigue from partying for however many days straight😂. It is a sad time, and a huge "back to reality " check, but you will definitely look forward to taking a moment at the airport or on your drive home to decompress. For those going hone, once you actually get there, you're going to need at least 24hrs to get back to normal....well worth every emotional and physical roller coaster in my opinion though😊
We let Carnival handle the luggage this time. It was the most carefree debarkation day we've had. It cost us an extra hour, but we just hung out at a ship lounge and relaxed. Then we walked off the ship.
Nah it’s a sad day for the cruise because they immediately have to start preparing all 2k cabins and start loading food and stuff on the ship in a limited amount of time
I just got back from a cruise and we got stuck on the ship for an extra 7 hours because of a boat crash in the port area. If you’d like to know more you can look up something like boat crash in Miami stops cruises.

Yes. Leaving the cruise is the absolute worst. It's as if reality came out of nowhere and just SLAPPED you in the face... 😩 Nevertheless, a small part of me was happy to get back to my routine and my regular life..

People on one of my cruises tried to take a bunch of SILVERWARE off the ship. It's ridiculous how many people steal property from cruise ships. And these people were of age. Two of them got busted. Had dining napkins full of silverware. Unbelievable :(
I was so sad when my five day MSC divina cruise ended (by the way I watched your videos before I left for the cruise) and the day before I was so sad because I had so much fun and I didn’t want to leave so I keeped my cruise card and that was the best cruise I was ever on I never want to go on a ship unless it’s MSC divina
My first cruise we had ran into 2 hurricanes and we had to stay out at sea for almost an extra 24 hours. They kicked everyone out of their rooms, and everyone and their luggage were standing room only all throughout the hallways. No food, no drink and it was difficult to get to a bathroom. They were trying to get an elderly man, who was bleeding profusely from his abdomen, to medical. He was in a wheelchair and there wasn't enough room to get his wheelchair to pass. It took about 20 minutes before they got him through where we were standing. At 1am we were so happy, we were finally disembarking, or so we thought!!! One of the first passengers off the ship got caught with illegal drugs. We finally got off the ship around 6am. We missed our flight home and rebooked it for later that evening. We got a hotel room to grab some sleep before our flight. We were exhausted from standing all day and night. Carnival could have handled this much better but they're cheap, they'd rather have their passengers have a horrible time than put out a few bucks. They knew before we left our last port, Cozumel, that we were stuck because a hurricane was at our port of disembarkation. Carnival could have paid for us to stay at Port in Cozumel, but they didn't. The cruise was pretty good until the last 24 hours, it was a nightmare. We had a hurricane on the way out, winds so strong, that no one could walk to the front of the ship! We were all trying but it was funny because not one of us could, even holding on to each other and the ship!
I love those first days, fun days at sea, and when we are finally ashore for excursions. Took two so far, on top of so many other domestic and a few other international trips by other means! Nostalgia! 🥰🥰🥰✈️✈️🚗🚗🚢🚢🚢⛩️⛩️⛩️
I just got off of the Carnival Breeze. On the day before the last day there was a Disembarkation presentation that answers so many of the questions that new cruisers have. I made sure to go to the presentation since this was my first cruise (April 24-29, 2023).

Did fly cruise too and from Malta this past week … P&O organised all the flights and transfers… it was a smooth MO and I didn’t touch my heavy suitcase between 8pm in Malta and the baggage carousel collection in Manchester UK at 2pm the following day … Bliss !!!
What wasn’t mentioned in the vid is that disembarkation is pretty early in the morning. All passengers must be out of their rooms typically by 9 or 10 am, and off the ship by 10 or 11. So u gotta wake up early if u want to eat and dbl check ur packing before u leave the boat
Options...1) take your luggage with you...2) settle down and have a great last chance breakfast eating your favorites AFTER you had a tie-over breakfast 6am room service...3)RELAX and DO NOT get in a hurry to get off the ship because your airlines are NOT going to leave without you IF you booked your flight with the cruise line themselves...4) less of a chance of searching when going through customs because they were fresh and alert on those first passengers eventually gaining fatigu(NO GUARANTEE!!!)
Most people will grab something to eat (so tables will be hard to find) , which will be very, very early and people will be in a hurry and be very, VERY grumpy (possible hungover and they know they will never see you again). Just keep that in mind. I've never seen anything stolen but never leave your suitcase unattended at the table. We usually walk our own suitcases off. Also there's a lot other "worse feelings" in life than leaving a luxury cruise. LOL
No, do not leave your bags outside. Will make you leave later and terminal will be way too crowded. Just wake up early grab your bags grab some breakfast head out as quick as possible. They’ll let you right through the terminal.

I was on a cruise pretty recently, and when we gave our bags to the crew night before disembarking we got our bags and one of them was damaged so we had to put tape on it for a 3 hour plane ride back home

If you have been in isolation because you had Covid ( not me, my sister had Covid) you are supposed to be escorted off the ship before the rest of the passengers. Princess forgot about my sister and myself. We were supposed to Disembark about 7 or 730 Our luggage stayed in our cabin with us
It’s been about 10 years since we’ve been on a cruise. This sounds so much better. Before we had to get up so early and everyone went to a big room live the theatre and waited until your name was called. It was horrible.
We got back to NJ on 7/7/2023 -RC Oasis. Our luggage was all messed up and some people got broken luggage back. I recommend walking off the ship with it so you don't have to look for it when you get off the ship as its crowded and can be frustrating. Ours was supposed to be in line 63 we found half our stuff in 32.
How long do cruise ships stay vacant until another trip leaves? I am just curious about the turnover time it would take for a ship reset such as 2000 rooms to be cleaned etc..
If I had it to do over again, I would take my bags off myself and leave as late as possible. The crowd at the disembarkation we were giving were unreal.

I cried when my room cleaner made an elephant with my pillow and I just slept with it until disembarkation day
They made me an elephant out of towels and put my brother’s goggles on it and it was the cutest thing ever

I go cruising every Friday night by watching The Loveboat on TH-cam or Pluto. If you've never seen it, it is a funny show and almost always uplifting.

Most people will grab something to eat (so tables will be hard to find) , which will be very, very early and people will be in a hurry and be very, VERY grumpy (possible hungover and they know they will never see you again). Just keep that in mind. I've never seen anything stolen but never leave your suitcase unattended at the table. We usually walk our own suitcases off. Also there's a lot other "worse feelings" in life than leaving a luxury cruise. LOL
When my wife and I disembarked the Norwegian Pride of America for the final time, I almost 😢.

No, do not leave your bags outside. Will make you leave later and terminal will be way too crowded. Just wake up early grab your bags grab some breakfast head out as quick as possible. They’ll let you right through the terminal.

Yeah I feel very sad at the end of the cruise on Disembarkation day One because the vacation is over but also because, I JUST FIGURED OUT THE FREAKING LAYOUT OF THE SHIP 😞

I was on a cruise pretty recently, and when we gave our bags to the crew night before disembarking we got our bags and one of them was damaged so we had to put tape on it for a 3 hour plane ride back home
It straight up is the saddest feeling. I hate having to leave. If I could afford to live on a cruise ship and just travel the world, I would.

If you have been in isolation because you had Covid ( not me, my sister had Covid) you are supposed to be escorted off the ship before the rest of the passengers. Princess forgot about my sister and myself. We were supposed to Disembark about 7 or 730 Our luggage stayed in our cabin with us

It’s been about 10 years since we’ve been on a cruise. This sounds so much better. Before we had to get up so early and everyone went to a big room live the theatre and waited until your name was called. It was horrible.

We got back to NJ on 7/7/2023 -RC Oasis. Our luggage was all messed up and some people got broken luggage back. I recommend walking off the ship with it so you don't have to look for it when you get off the ship as its crowded and can be frustrating. Ours was supposed to be in line 63 we found half our stuff in 32.

How long do cruise ships stay vacant until another trip leaves? I am just curious about the turnover time it would take for a ship reset such as 2000 rooms to be cleaned etc..
Usually the time between disembarkation and embarkation is 4-7 hours

If I had it to do over again, I would take my bags off myself and leave as late as possible. The crowd at the disembarkation we were giving were unreal.
As for me the feeling of finally going home is one of the best feelings of any holiday I’ve ever had 😂
