Where I live, you can technically put, for example, a chocolate bar in your pocket and still remain inside the store and it is not stealing. Sure, staff will keep a close eye on you, and they may ask security to be extra aware of you, but as long as you do not leave the store with that bar of chocolate without paying, you haven't stolen it.

I disagree. I came from a prior generation that majority think this way. I would, also, not call my views "liberal". I dislike labels in general as they assume too much baggage. For example, when I say that i am pro-choice, kids today automatically assume that must, also, mean I am anti-gun, or an SJW and so on.

They have been trained to enforce the law they shouldn’t have to tolerate grown ass adults breaking the law making threats or thinking that someone else’s opinion oppresses your freedom given rights... also 95% of all police are all good professional and decent human beings. Following the law is how you should be in the public and private. You shouldn’t be breaking the law period keep your nose clean and there wouldn’t be a need for them to use their authority to arrest you.

william miller public intoxication is against the law and she was slurring her words. She then proceeds to give false information which makes the vehicle seem stolen. Therefore, she can be charged with public intoxication (not drunk enough imo) but more likely on suspicion of theft. From the video it seemed liked she didn't have her license and she was the owner of the vehicle. Why would you give false information in this situation apart from purposely trying to be a bitch.
She will now also be charged with resisting arrest and possibly assault. Basically, just a rich entitled girl who thinks the police are out to get her when all they wanted was to check her own vehicle wasn't stolen 😂😂

omdell I'm sure plenty of drunk people have stolen cars in the past. For all the police could have known, they may have been passing a car, drunk person suggests stealing it as a joke, turns out the door is unlocked and keys in the glove box and then they decided to go for a bit of a joyride. Not a completely unrealistic scenario imo.
If you are drunk when the police pull over the driver, you could be charged with public intoxication. Highways and roads are considered public areas in the eyes of the law, which means that you and your friends are “in public” despite riding in a personally-owned vehicle. Therefore, officers have every right to charge you for public intoxication as a passenger in a vehicle.
