- Today we do the AFK Challenge, So we pretend to be AFK while we sneakily expand somewhere else. I stole this from a PiG video which I watched so please dont get angry mr Pig. It just looked cool.

Challenge idea 1: "No one left behind". Conserve units as much as possible, no intentional sacrifices or dice rolls (as in, "let's send two adepts there, maybe they'll live, maybe not, but they're going to get their money's worth"), and if it turns out you produced more than 400 supply worth of units, lose the next match. Using that approach, achieve 1.5:1 win/loss ratio over more than 10 matches, or get a smurf account to GM only using this tactic.
Challenge idea 2: no scouting. Observers are only allowed to watch over units and own bases with approaches directly next to them. No sending units just to see what your opponent is doing.
Challenge idea 3: "The Mass Switcheroo". The general rule: choose any combat unit and try to win using any number of them, but only them. You are allowed to make up to 5 gateway units above the rule (but that's just 5 across the entire match, so no remaking), and you can have up to 5 observers at any time (meaning, those can be remade). Every match, choose a different unit. You are not allowed to mass the same unit again until you run out of units. Using that approach, smurf to GM.

I tried this and lost a few games but ended up winning vs a protoss. Was glorious. He cannon rushed me but made like 6/7 cannons leaving him too far behind, in the meantime I had 2 bases up and got DT's out. HAHA.

Using the nexus's chronoboosts is fine but i'm also pretty sure that if you had 13 probes he wouldn't notice you could be cheeky harExtreme
Also I had never seen a 3racks I do not understand the purpose of this build beside evolving into bio multi drops maybe ? But what's the point compared to your usual reaper expand ?

I think the problem is that this was a popular trick about 8 years ago. We are all trained to check around before writing it down as afk.
A tip maybe to take different expands, the corners are too obvious.
But i don't think that could work, if you're going to scout anyway (and towards the corners, which you say are too obvious), then any other expand would be scouted even sooner, wouldn't it?
@@irrelevant_noob not really. Depending on the map, the opps 4th is a great spot.
All im saying is that when you see an afk base, the corners are the first place to check. So probably best to check the pathing from t he main tot he corners and take the base least likely to be scouted.

great content, my only feedback is that it would have been potentially funny to see through the opponents cam to see if they stopped doing or started anything after discovering the afk base.

You are only allowed to build other units than zealots/ different tech once charge is researched

Hi Harstem, did you ever deal with wrist or arm pain from playing Starcraft so much? If yes, how did you combat it? I really want to improve but it's hard because my hands start hurting after 2 hours of playing.
There are certain stretches that I do occasionally, i think there is a guy called the gaming doctor with some stretches on TH-cam somewhere

Not sure why your 2nd proxy nex is so close to his 3rd. Why does Harstem like to expand towards the enemy too? Maybe it’s in case enemy scouting but not sure

I would do a double afk and pop a base in both corners just for maximum troll factor
why don't you start your gasses earlier? you don't lose mining time since you're toss, and it doesn't delay your production that requires only minerals (i.e. core, pylons, probes) since it's only 75 minerals. Had you had gasses earlier, you would have had stalkers earlier too.
I enjoy the video, if i may hv a suggestion. 5 minutes into the game if you still hvnt been scouted, i suggest u bring over all your probes and leave the starting probes back.

Why are you saturating your main with your expo nexus? The distance traveled, would be better if they went straight to their expo minerals.

When wings of liberty came out many years ago, Terrans had this cheese strat that involved killing all your scvs and loading the rest into the command center, then floating it away into the corner of the map, while copy pasting a fake error message at the start of the map. The game was new so people didn't really understand how everything worked so when they went to the enemy base and saw it empty, and couldn't find a base anywhere on the map, they'd just leave, giving you the win.

You should type something like "ah lol" "nr10? =)" awhile after he scouts you, it will sell the afk and lower his guard also it allows you to micro the probes
