I agree, because in the Lost Village Movie, I didn’t feel Gargamel enough with Rain Wilson’s voice. If Sony Pictures has not thrown out Mr. Azaria’s original idea of telling the story of Gargamel’s childhood of how he met the Smurfs into a third live action movie that was supposed to be premiering in 2015, and they tried doing one where they would travel to England, where supposedly Gargamel’s Wizard school and his family are, since you know every live action smurfs movie skipped a year after the recent film, and premiered a movie in the next year, they would have kept the original cast members, and had not lost their money and gave the smurfs project to another producer and director with new people. Although, Mandy Patnik did an excellent job of playing Papa Smurf, which was a very good choice after Jonathan Winters died! He respected Mr, Winters’ original voicing, and kept it going with sincerity by trying to make it the way people liked Jonathan Winters’ Papa Smurf voice. It was touching back in 2013, where Sony Pictures Smurfs Movie Facebook Page after the premiere of The Smurfs 2, announced the death of Jonathan Winters, and they honored him with sincerity of being the best Papa Smurf in the movies.

@@defunctstopmotionchannel I agree about that too! Overall, the fans that grew up watching The Smurfs actually liked the movies with their kids! Especially my Mom, when she took me because she was an adult in the 80’s, and she watched the original on her work break, and on Saturday cartoons. She was thrilled that Hank Azaria was going to become Gargamel and be as awesome as Paul Winchell was!
