Thank you for the comment! :) I got a similar comment before and back then I said the same thing: Everything comes with time😄 I have some big plans for this channel in the future so I hope you join the ride✌️
I also had recently purchased an S4 T2, generally speaking the electric stuff create some troubles due to bad or oxidised solderings that sometimes can easily fixed by removing the old tin and soldering back with fresh one. I've already fixed a couple of bad switches with this method
Thank you for the advice, I thought so aswell but after measuring every connection, everything seemed fine. Thankfully I found the reason why it didn't work at the end of the video :) Was just a cracked cable.
80's and early 90's cars have grown on me so much in such a short amount of time, never liked them growing up and only very recently am I understanding the appeal.
I use them in BeamNG to drift with a realistic steering wheel, I want one of them when I grow up, it'd be cool, my friend who's also into cars wants to do the same. Just a nice project that'd be neat.
The RX7 FCs are definitely an iconic body stile car and rare to find one anymore. I have a rare GTUs FC. It's not mint but good condition. I want to give it a new paint job soon.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! Since I have sold my Skyline I knew I had to get back again to an equally iconic japanese car so I just had to pull the trigger on this mint FC😍 Super excited, especially as an absolute Initial D fanboy😁
So i had the same problem with the brake rotors on my s5 t2. I managed to get one off with a sledge hammer and a ton of heat... but dont do it that way. You likely gonna destroy your wheel bearings in the process. The better thing to do, wich also worked for me, is to cut the side of the brake rotors hub with an angle grider ("Flex" as we say in germany), bc it doesnt rust on the mating surface, but on the inside of the brake rotor. Just be carefull not cut through the rotor and into the wheel hub. Stoked to see the building process, and more so to see the car on german roads.
Thank you for all the advice!😁 I am also super excited to see another FC on German streets! I have also heard that the sledgehammer method can destroy your bearings so I think I will definetly order new ones just in case... As soon as I come back home from South Korea I will try it out😊
@@moritzherr the reason why they wont' come off is because you didn't remove the nut that holds the rotor on. The center of the rotor has a dust cap, remove the dust cap by tapping it with a hammer and then you must remove the wheel bearing nut, then the rotor will come off.
@@markhutchinson3367 Okay I will try that, thank you for the advice :) But what does the wheel bearing nut have to do with the brake rotor? It's not holding it in at all, they are completely seperate🤔

@@moritzherr I would love to own any rotary engine car some day, but they sadly are extremely rare and expensive in finland. Excited to follow the project and see you work on one!
@@toivomk Yes I also always wanted to own a Rotary especially because there are so many people talking smack about them an give them a bad reputation. I really want to prove that these engines are awesome and reliable, because objectively these engines are so much simpler than piston engines... You just gotta take care of them, then they will take care of you :) Sadly here in Germany they are just as rare and expensive, it was impossible to find a Coupé FC Turbo 2, let alone a white one. So for me, even though it was very expensive, this is a one in a lifetime find😍
If I were to guess, the gauge cluster not lighting up is because of a bad relay. I'd look at the TNS relay. It controls the taillights, side markers, and dash lights. I had a similar issue on my 1991 Mazda Miata. I was able to troubleshoot it by swapping the TNS relay for the horn relay. Both should be an LA10 relay.

for the dash lights, you could try seeing if the bulbs have burnt out. i work at an auto parts store and see it fairly often. i looked it up in my work computer, and it seems that the bulbs are going to be either: 158, 2721, or 74. you can figure out which bulb specifically by looking closely at the glass on the bulb itself, the number should be written there. most can be found for under 8USD.

Yessss! Please show me how you rebuild your suspension, I have an 89 RX7 I want to work on this summer and the suspension is kinda special and there's not a lot of documentation online for it. I don't know if the 88 TII had the electronic suspension where under corner loads I think it would kick the toe out or camber? I can't remember but I would like to figure out if I could either keep this system or get rid of it and totally rebuild it . I didn't get the turbo engine I got the NA 6 port but I know the engine is in good health so I would like to work on everything around the engine before I touch it ( which I would probably replace it with a turbo engine before trying to turbo the NA).
I went through so much trouble to get my dash and tails to light up turned out to be my btn fuse under the hood wasn’t even there 😅 I thought I was dishing out the money for the headlight switch too
I found a 2000$ FC3S on Facebook marketplace, but it’s a roller. It’s completely gutted, but I thought it would be a good project car since.. well… it’s an RX7. Do you think I should get it?
Hey man :) That's awesome but I'd say it depends on many things: Overall condition of the chassis, interior and so on. Also depends on the model, originally NA or Turbo 2? S4 or S5? What comes with it? Coupé or Vert? In general I'd say go for it if the chassis and interior is in great shape. However getting it back on the road is most likely going to be extremely expensive and it's more likely that it will be a money pit if you have to get an engine and Gearbox for it. The problem is finding a good engine. You never know how the housings and irons look before taking the engine apart. And in case you have a few bad parts in your engine, getting new replacement parts from Mazda is going to be a pain because they have doubled the prices for their 13B parts (Rotors, Housings, Irons) But man if you want it go for it, it will for sure be a crazy experience restoring this baby😁 Also for $2k you can't go wrong with it man if the chassis and interior is in descent shape with no rust.
This was great- and I’m not even into these cars! You’re gonna be big- make sure you keep appearing on screen in the videos. That’s where the money is! So fine. Lol
@@Derpderpson123 That's awesome! But yes I think electrical problems are one of the most annoying things to deal with🥲 But I believe it will all work out in the end :)
I thought so too but after checking all of the fuses and relays, I still couldn't find the problem... Thankfully I found the culprit at the end of the video :)
@@crashoutvergil It was abandoned and hasn‘t been registered for over 14 years :) Just got a new paintjob before it got delivered, that‘s why on first glance it looked so good from the outside. Thank you very much!😍 No I am not catholic and the life sized Pope was meant as a small joke. The picture of Jesus on the wall is actually Keanu Reeves dresses as Jesus😅
Don't worry there will be no crazy bodykit or anything like that😂 But what do you mean by "stock"? I am certainly not going to keep these ugly stock wheels and the spongy worn out original suspension😁
Yeah it's an S4 with painted trim likr the 10th Anniversary and with S5 Taillights. Other than that, I will make it look as much as an S5 as possible and also from a trchnical perspective, I will try to convert things (Turbo etc.) maybe also bumpers and trim👍

Ich hoffe, es wird weiter so gut vorangehen! Bestimmt sehen wir uns in Zukunft mal auf einem Treffen :)
Ryosuke would be proud.

Thank you for the support!😄
ayo that's a sick rx7 model at 0:31, where did u buy it from :)?
Yeah it's pretty cool, I really don't know, I got it as a present :) But I guess you'll find it pretty fast if you look it up.
@@moritzherr Yup found it actually ty!
I went through so much trouble to get my dash and tails to light up turned out to be my btn fuse under the hood wasn’t even there 😅 I thought I was dishing out the money for the headlight switch too
I got an question? Which season of the FC? season 4 had an cardon hood. I was just wondering
It's an S4. However I don't know where you got the information from that the S4 had a carbon hood😅 What did you mean by "cardon"?
I found a 2000$ FC3S on Facebook marketplace, but it’s a roller. It’s completely gutted, but I thought it would be a good project car since.. well… it’s an RX7. Do you think I should get it?
Hey man :) That's awesome but I'd say it depends on many things:
Overall condition of the chassis, interior and so on.
And in case you have a few bad parts in your engine, getting new replacement parts from Mazda is going to be a pain because they have doubled the prices for their 13B parts (Rotors, Housings, Irons)
But man if you want it go for it, it will for sure be a crazy experience restoring this baby😁
Also for $2k you can't go wrong with it man if the chassis and interior is in descent shape with no rust.
We want more!
More content is coming soon!😁 I came back from my Korea trip just today and I am already excited to film new content :)

Maybe to lights inside your tachometer are disconnected or just dead
Thankfully that was not it and at the end of the video I found the issue :)
@@moritzherr Ah thats great, im investing in this channel lol (this is my other account)
Thank you for the support!😍
for me better ask Rob Dahm for help he have the same car and he have experience . good luck man 👌👌
I don't know if Rob Dahm has enough time to reply to anyonr with little problems🥲 But definetly worth a try once I am running into problems👍
You're living my dream
why do you have a cutout of pope francis next to your garage door
Ummm😅
FC lhd?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!
OMG, i want to buy it 😭😭❤️🔥😍
Don't you have FC's in Korea?🤔 Maybe you will see my FC some day in Korea🤫
@callmemo77 thank you so much 😭👍
This was great- and I’m not even into these cars! You’re gonna be big- make sure you keep appearing on screen in the videos. That’s where the money is! So fine. Lol
Thank you very much for the kind words!🙏 I'm happy you're enjoying the videos!😍
I subbed
Thanks✌️ I'm glad you joined the journey :)
@@moritzherr I'm currently restoring a Honda CB-1 from 89' and also facing electrical gremlins right now, totally get the feeling. Don't give up!
@@Derpderpson123 That's awesome! But yes I think electrical problems are one of the most annoying things to deal with🥲 But I believe it will all work out in the end :)
Maybe its an electrical relay in the engine bay.
I thought so too but after checking all of the fuses and relays, I still couldn't find the problem... Thankfully I found the culprit at the end of the video :)
How much did u get it for?
It wasn't cheap but for what I got, it was a good price I'll just leave it at that😂
Haha, it's alr man. have a great day!@@moritzherr
Drill the rotor screws out.
Thankfully didn't need to do that😁 Got them out after a few tries
nice english i didn't hear that you are from Germany and im German so I did expect to notice something
Thanks man!✌️ Yeah I'm trying to get rid of my accent😅
tüv abi macht immer stress
????????OMG FC3S??????
this thing wasn't abandoned it was used lol
@@crashoutvergil It was abandoned and hasn‘t been registered for over 14 years :) Just got a new paintjob before it got delivered, that‘s why on first glance it looked so good from the outside. Check out my other videos too, there you can even see proof that it was not on the road for literally 14 years.
Have fun in South Korea. 🇰🇷
I can see images of the Pope and Jesus. Are you Catholic?
Lastly keep up that positive attitude about learning. 🎊 🎉❤😊
Thank you very much!😍 No I am not catholic and the life sized Pope was meant as a small joke. The picture of Jesus on the wall is actually Keanu Reeves dresses as Jesus😅
@@moritzherr Good sense of humour then.
Keep it up.
Please keep it stock.
Don't worry there will be no crazy bodykit or anything like that😂 But what do you mean by "stock"? I am certainly not going to keep these ugly stock wheels and the spongy worn out original suspension😁
Nvm ur cars an s4 trimmed
Yeah it's an S4 with painted trim likr the 10th Anniversary and with S5 Taillights. Other than that, I will make it look as much as an S5 as possible and also from a trchnical perspective, I will try to convert things (Turbo etc.) maybe also bumpers and trim👍

Yuck hard coded subtitles
I've made them very small so it's not that annoying. I just thought it would just be better than the TH-cam subtitles because I want to make sure that people with hearing disability can also watch the video with quality subtitles :)
