  • I am thrilled to share a special performance of J. S. Bach's "Arioso" for cello from Cantata BWV 156. It is known for its lyrical beauty and emotional depth, is often chosen for weddings, other special occasions or even as background instrumental music. Cello students working on Suzuki Cello Method can find it in Book 5.
"Arioso" is one of Bach's most beloved wedding song cello melodies, characterized by its flowing lines and expressive phrasing. It requires a delicate touch and precise control of the bow to bring out the nuances of the piece. In this performance, I aim to capture the essence of Bach's composition, highlighting its timeless beauty and emotional resonance. Whether you are planning a wedding, seeking inspiration for your own cello practice, or simply looking to enjoy some beautiful music, this video offers a moment of peace and reflection. The combination of Bach's masterful composition and the stunning natural setting creates an unforgettable musical experience. I perform "Arioso" in a beautiful park by the stream, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop that complements the elegance of the music. The natural sounds of the flowing water and the peaceful environment add an extra layer of tranquility to the performance, making it a truly unique experience.
I hope you enjoy this performance of "Arioso" as much as I enjoyed recording it. Please feel free to leave your comments and let me know how this piece resonates with you. I am afraid that due to several unfinished projects, I will not be able to do it any time soon. My best wishes to you to succeed in this very challenging audition.

Lovely Video, the Cello sounds great, but imho the backing Pizzicato could be eq'ed a bit to take out some of the boxiness.
