    I wish I was retired like you so I could have time to learn and play this great game

      I ain't retired and trust me, it took me one whole year to get the basics of WITE2 :)

    I got carried away in a mirror game and am now in late January 1942. Sadly, my lines did not hold in the south (the Romanians collapsed) and I've had to throw Panzer divisions into the line. It's pretty brutal. I'm looking forward to see how the units recover in Spring and how you develop your 1942 campaign!

      This sounds horrible! But yes, using your Panzer divisions during the first winter is going to be pretty brutal! So far the line is holding but for how long? That's the real question bugging me!

      @@fraulens My lines held until early January, then the collapse began. I had at least fortification 2 everywhere, but the units got ground down over time. I'm holding in the north (from Leningrad to Moscow), and in the center, but the front facing Moscow is being pushed back along with about 12-15 hexes from the Sea of Azov north. I've lost Mariupol and will likely have to fall back to the Dneiper by the end of February. The key question is how much Soviet manpower gets chewed up in these attacks and how quickly my units can recover once the offensive stops. If you get a chance, can you show manpower, arty, afv and loss charts?

    Why not advance before to Kerch. You are waiting for Manstein and Trappenjagd? 😅

      Because the Soviets are already too well dug in on the other side! No need to risk the 11th Army for that while DER FÜHRER WANTS SEVASTOPOL BEFORE CHRISTMAS (sorry, the message came directly from him and he was quite loud!)

      @fraulens Well, OK but Fuhrer radioed from Rastenburg that your flank there is hanging in the air ;)
      Maybe AI for this game is too scripted there...
      I had no problem in taking Sevastopol for 1500 dead. Don't know which turn but I think around turn 20.
      But my fort level is not so good.
      I will again hit those 1-1 units that crawled to the front

      @@MarioMorela Shhhh the Führer does not know (yet) that von Schobert's flank is totally uncovered. That's why von Shobert hasn't been fired (yet)!

      @fraulens Hahaha :)
      Can you maybe provide Soviet OOB and German?
      I mean - what is your philosophy for defense strength ratio - I see that rehiment plus division or two divisions in a hex makes wonders.... I don't attach const. battal. some of my front will need reinforcements.... ah and command structure is abysmal :)
      I guess that you will not have too much problems during winter - if you make enough forts level 3.
      btw, I still havent built a single FZ - I will see if I will regret it.

    Sorry if you already covered this, but how late are you planning on keeping this series going? I vote until the bitter end :) . Thanks for making this series, hope to get into this game one day when and if I have more time. I'm definitely invested in this campaign haha, I said "damn" myself when you said Sevastapol had received supplies.

      As you said, until the bitter end. There will be one weekly episode for sure next year. Then it depends, if the Soviets capitulate in October 1942. Otherwise, it will be a long struggle. So fasten your seatbelts, the journey is not over yet!
