I heard this video years ago and I loved it and listened to it multiple times. I just remembered it and came back to listen right now and it made me cry. It's like the 3rd verse of "It Is Well With My Soul", it just hits me so hard and makes me think of what a loving God we have. Praise God for his abundant mercy towards a sinner like me.
the sad reality is that the people who think they are sinners are probably some of the nicest people there are. And the villains who should cry are laughing instead. This is the sad reality of Christian (and others) religion. It convinces good people that they are evil, while telling evil people they can be forgiven very easily.

What a beautiful and meaningful song and sung so well. I attended a Mennonite church sometime ago. I gave into family who didn't agree but the fellowship and warmth of them has never left me. God truly blessed me with getting to know them. I want to go back with all my heart because I know it's what I need but if not I know God will see me through.

To Michael Dougfir - Theres nothing wrong with the black head coverings, their particular conference wears this color and style, they are veiled. They also look like the Church of God in Christ Mennonite group. They wear this same identical style fastened under the chin. Unusual here is underneath there is a smaller cup styled covering that is exposed after church services for casual activities, meal gatherings, and such. There is one meeting house here in the Phoenix area, Sun Valley Mennonite in El Mirage that wears this type. There's also more variety in their cape dresses than you indicate, by their different color patterns. Dont be too harsh though in judgement, respect their convictions to modesty and following biblical principals.

I cannot stand people referring to the name God with a small g, who are you talking about? Is it the One Who Is so HIGH that you can't get over Him, so WIDE you can't get around Him? Depending on where you are, these ideas will broaden your field of choices. But I do pray the Lord will direct you to His choice of what you need.

Here's the test for those who want to join a group- bring along people struggling with addictions, emotional issues or sickness & see what happens. We are redeemed from the curse of the law -Gal.--3:13--, see Deut. 28 for the curses. Get to know the people you take along personally. They will not need their anxiety meds, antidepressants etc. if the group is truly of God. Many of these churches have a number of their people on these drugs. If there is no teaching against these drugs & you get resistance when you talk about it, run for your life!! Read Rev.21:8 & --22:15--, focus on the word sorcery- Greek root is pharmacopoeia or pharmakeia- referring directly to these drugs that a lot of people are on. You need to know there is ex- Mennonite girls that know this & are desperate to get off of them!! The church ministry helped them get on them & the Mennonites and Amish have banded together years ago here in PA to build facilities to treat mental patients. There is many in the old order & conservative circles that do not have the new birth experience- (they violate Romans 10:10 because they do not allow personal testimony even though they may claim they do.) When they are born again or when they're going through hard times & seeking God, they often get put in these facilities. The Lord doesn't want you to join a religion, you will find many religions today but so few God chasers- be a God chaser! Being a God chaser will get you kicked out of these churches almost every time. Read the book of Acts- prophecy just isn't in any organized religion & it is absolutely necessary, (not talking about the funny stuff that's mostly out there). Check 1Cor.14..... reveals hidden sins & directs the Believers, speaking in tongues is secondary, contrary to what many believe. You absolutely NEED TO HEAR from God where to fellowship!! Thankfully all Mennonites are NOT what I was describing, but the majority run that track. What I shared is a symptom of what's really going on in many Mennonite (Anabaptist) circles. The roots are lack of holy living even though it appears holy. There is an Anabaptist Symposium on sexual abuse planned next month- because there's so much of it being dealt with- mostly with meds, not Jesus. Do not chase Mennonites or anabaptists any other religious group, seek God- He will lead you! I dearly love these people, I grew up and married among the Mennonites, my ancestry goes back 500 years on both my dad & mom's side.... sad to say a lot of what our forefathers died for has been lost- it Grieves me

my church is very similar to this church, just by seeing how women are dressed, my church started in mexico by an irish missionari, named joseph steward. search on youtube for i.e.c.e so u can hear some of our music, pray and sing hymns to god as paul and silas did when they were put in the cell, they were praying and singing hymns to god. Acts 16:25 look for a video called I.E.C.E Rey De Reyes. you can see who truly worship the living god, as your church does.

they are CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THEY CAME TO OUR VILLAGE FOR A TENT MEETING THEY ARE FROM BARRON WI I THINK. MY HUSBAND KNOW ONE OF THE MEN. HE RECOVERS BIBLES AND BOOKS AND DON HAD HIM RECOVER HIS MOTHERS BIBLE.
@NEMeinradt Yes they believe pictures are a "graven image". Strange how they cave to the wicked gov't, though. If its a sin to take a picture its a sin no matter if the gov't wants a pic or no. But guess a pic is better than being renditioned off by DHS to a torture prison in Egypt as a terrorist. They don't believe in musical instruments either, except the voice.

Instruments were used in time of old testament temples - but not after destruction of temple by Romans. After that instruments were associated to romans - bringing them into church was controversial - some churches have brought them in and others dont at all.
@@mountainmama7155 No they don't think it's a sin, they just don't use them. There is no mention of instruments being used in the new testament plus to conform to the Bible's instruction on simplicity and modesty they just omit the use of musical instruments.

There's nothing in the Bible saying that musical instruments will send you to hell. They just omit their use. If the Bible calls it a sin, it's a sin no matter what you believe. You can't label something a sin that the Bible doesn't expressly say is sin, and they don't do that. Never have, never will. You didn't read the scriptures enough.
Good presentation, skillfully done. I appreciate the example of plain clothing too. But what about those head coverings? Black is fine, but the item itself is terrible! And its not even ON the head. I wish you all would look at other plain churches and adopt something better. One thing you could try is less uniformity perhaps. Let each girl or woman order or make what they like, and wear that. As long as they have a head covering that truly is ON the head. And, with the possible exception of a string, they need not have anything that goes down and around under the chin. Hair pins can help keep the kapp on.
They only wear the head covering that goes under your chin to church. The rest of the time they just wear a head covering with hair pins to keep it on.
It's called a devotional head covering. It's not on their head? When they bow their head to pray, where is it then? The reason for it is to cover the head when they're praying, the rest of the time it's not functional in any way. It doesn't need to be on their entire head. It's not meant to be a bonnet, fashion accessory, or to glam up their look. Also, they aren't Muslims. It's simply in submission to God's order. That's all it needs to be. Also, Micheal? You're a dude complaining about plain people not being fashionable enough? Are you a hairdresser by chance? Just fyi, the head covering isn't a uniform. They can wear what they like as a devotional covering. They just all wear that one.

There is an Anabaptist Symposium on sexual abuse planned next month- because there's so much of it being dealt with- mostly with meds, not Jesus. Do not chase Mennonites or anabaptists any other religious group, seek God- He will lead you! I dearly love these people, I grew up and married among the Mennonites, my ancestry goes back 500 years on both my dad & mom's side.... sad to say a lot of what our forefathers died for has been lost- it Grieves me
ronald coblentz. Being a historian I'm curious about their practices- where does the group originate and do they consider themselves anabaptist? Interesting how they look like the rest of the Mennonites from Wisconsin or PA, do they associate with the Mennonites from the area?

my church is very similar to this church, just by seeing how women are dressed, my church started in mexico by an irish missionari, named joseph steward. search on youtube for i.e.c.e so u can hear some of our music, pray and sing hymns to god as paul and silas did when they were put in the cell, they were praying and singing hymns to god. Acts 16:25 look for a video called I.E.C.E Rey De Reyes. you can see who truly worship the living god, as your church does.

You must have really been hurt to post something so negative. Most Mennonites are very friendly, thoughtful people.
It's just the truth about sin. And how God will take us back if we repent. It's not hateful...this is a loving reminder we are all sinmers and no matter how far we stray God will welcome us back like the prodigal son or a lost sheep that returns to the fold.

Instruments were used in time of old testament temples - but not after destruction of temple by Romans. After that instruments were associated to romans - bringing them into church was controversial - some churches have brought them in and others dont at all.
@@mountainmama7155 No they don't think it's a sin, they just don't use them. There is no mention of instruments being used in the new testament plus to conform to the Bible's instruction on simplicity and modesty they just omit the use of musical instruments.

@mountainmama7155 I did too. No, they don't think it's a sin. Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures. They don't think seeing a television is a sin either, but they don't have those either. There's nothing in the Bible saying that musical instruments will send you to hell. They just omit their use. If the Bible calls it a sin, it's a sin no matter what you believe. You can't label something a sin that the Bible doesn't expressly say is sin, and they don't do that. Never have, never will. You didn't read the scriptures enough.
Good presentation, skillfully done. I appreciate the example of plain clothing too. But what about those head coverings? Black is fine, but the item itself is terrible! And its not even ON the head. I wish you all would look at other plain churches and adopt something better. One thing you could try is less uniformity perhaps. Let each girl or woman order or make what they like, and wear that. As long as they have a head covering that truly is ON the head. And, with the possible exception of a string, they need not have anything that goes down and around under the chin. Hair pins can help keep the kapp on.
They only wear the head covering that goes under your chin to church. The rest of the time they just wear a head covering with hair pins to keep it on.
It's called a devotional head covering. It's not on their head? When they bow their head to pray, where is it then? The reason for it is to cover the head when they're praying, the rest of the time it's not functional in any way. It doesn't need to be on their entire head. It's not meant to be a bonnet, fashion accessory, or to glam up their look. Also, they aren't Muslims. It's simply in submission to God's order. That's all it needs to be. Also, Micheal? You're a dude complaining about plain people not being fashionable enough? Are you a hairdresser by chance? Just fyi, the head covering isn't a uniform. They can wear what they like as a devotional covering. They just all wear that one.
