Thanks so much. I had bought a model but was struggling to make it accessible for both platforms but this fixed it. Even with the newer versions and Creator Companion it works.
This was really close but I'm using a newer version and can't find a video that explains the "blue print id" bit since that's apparently required for having both
I don't know why no tutorials help me I've done nearly no infact every tutorial on how to make it quest and PC It never works and ends up making it PC only or Quest only why is that
You first have to have your PC avatar uploaded first. Then go into your control panel, find the pc avatar and copy the blueprint. When you have your quest avatar in unity, (make sure you are logged into your control panel) you want to go to your hierarchy, press your avatar, go to blueprint ID, copy & paste your blueprint ID, then upload!
Kind of worried, but, where it says, "Android support: " it's " Android support: NO "Is there some way to fix this? and if I upload without it saying yes, what are the consequences...
If you don’t see either of those, you probably either need to install the vrchat sdk or you need to install the windows/android builders in build settings so you can upload them to their respective platforms.
@@trashity6204 Strange. The only reason I could guess that's occurring is because the model isn't fixed enough to upload. If you see buttons saying "Fix Now" or any of the red "!" buttons in the VRChat SDK, address those before trying to upload the model.
I once had a glitch where I accidentally got a pc only avatar into my creations tab at the time o was quest only so I'm pretty sure you can see your creations if there pc only but can't wear them if your not also on pc not 100% sure though
I simply just duplicated the file, and used the duplicate to upload the other platform. You should be able to do this with the "Copy" button which I believe is under the "Edit" toolbar.
@@Sprrtan gotcha, i had already uploaded it for windows but had to download the android thing and close unity. When i relaunched it I switched it over to android to upload it i was unable to build and publish it. Do ya know why?
@@Basvra My only guess for that is that your model is stable enough for Windows VRChat but needs some more fixing/simplification before it can be uploaded to Android (your model might be too big/complex for android).
How I did it: Make a new project. Open the project with the avatar, and go to assets. Click select all. Then export package. Go to the new project and import the package that's your avatar. .
I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the version of Unity you have and starlking all over and checking the little box for android that way, but also remember to check the windows box as well.

Ngl your fucking underrated
I don't know why no tutorials help me I've done nearly no infact every tutorial on how to make it quest and PC It never works and ends up making it PC only or Quest only why is that
How do I have a permission to upload avatars? (first time made a avatar by the way)
upload failed due to blueprint id . what does that mean?
When I did this and uploaded, it make the avatar quest compatible only

sdk is for unity, not blender.

how do i go about duplicating my avatar?
