@@jmckeith2342 I was a legal clerk/artillery/red eye missile. Since I could type, they sent me to legal clerk school. I have other MOS's but that's because if you can pass tests in the Military they like to send people who can pass them. It was a weird time to be there.
2/81 was a field artillary unit
@@Vingreg65 Yes it was. The 2/81st is an Airborne division. I was an artilleryman stationed there. We had self-propelled 155mm cannons. SP 109's. The Airborne soldiers had to make regular jumps to qualify for their jump pay. By the way, Germany was like a stop-off place for many Vietnam vets. It was a little like the old west for awhile there. I also was the Battalion Legal Clerk there.
@@mikel9056 dont see much on the 2/81 on facebook just the pathfinnders groups more 6-29 groups
We lived there in 79 to 80 I think. I think we left in late 80. I was 9 when we left. Had good times there. Sledding down deadman hill. Hunting Crystals up the hill or down the hill I guess. Lol. Watching the howitzers behind our barracks housing(soccer field).
Okay ;)

If you wanna make it right, you take pork 300 gr pieces from neck or shoulder, give salt and pepper only and put it with a lot of unions in a big bowl. Let it standing during a night!! The special taste is coming from the unions. Then 15-20 min on fire. Please, without ketchup.....haha!

@@SlowLew222 The little pizza place at the 4-way intersection owned by the base barber, Tony?
I was C 6/29
@@SlowLew222 So I was 37th Trans, MCT, we had four offices in the basement of the last building on the right and four dorm rooms on the second floor. Everything there was 8th ID, and a TAB battery (who was in our building as well) We were a small unit, one Cpt, one 1st Sgt, one E6, one E5, Two E4, five privates, eleven total. If you remember what was called "March Kredits" , those numbers written in chalk on all US vehicles authorizing them to use German roads for maneuvers, thats what our office did. Not glorious by any means. I was also my unit armorer, having attended weapons school in Grafenwoehr... Fun times.

Shame it looks like that now. I personally put in lots of landscaping and painting time to make it look nice.
