Boxing Punches on the Punch Machine (Which Punch Does the Best?)

I tested out different boxing punches on the punch machine using fundamental technique to see how well they do in comparison with the big haymaker punch most people do. We also find out the difference in power if you step forward with the jab or the cross vs not stepping; or if you cut the angle with the hook vs no angle. Hope this is a fun one for y'all!

Very interesting. Exciting to watch!
Never thought the left hook might be as powerful as the right hook as you can get more rotation into it and of course because it's the powerhand.
Maybe it is because one throws the lead hook way more often?

Thank you for watching! The lead hook can certainly be as powerful as the rear hook if not more. And that is very good point, the lead hook usually does get thrown more often so the more practice could lead to more power 👊🏾

@@coachpillowfists - I tested that and the classic kind of hook punch which is very telegraphic does work better than a cross and a proper hook. I didn't understand why the young skinny fellas were punching it harder than me haha.

about the haymaker.... i think you didn't follow through which didn't allow it to show all of its power, while in fact a haymaker is always more powerful than a hook or cross ( and more telegraph as well)

Punching upward angles vs lower angles on these machines is why the OH shows less force, it's inaccurate.

I don't think it is. I'm not sure what exactly the numbers are measuring.

It measures how fast the target moves when its punched like BTboxing said. This is determined mainly by the speed and weight of the punch. I don't think pressure or acceleration will make any difference to this

I think all of these machines are different everywhere. No way to really make a comparable, consistent number.
