This is my game, but I've been told that you can get disqualified in comp for the body crush as they consider it a neck crank. It's a diaphragm submission, but some refs don't see that. Otherwise, kesa all day.
Thank you, I've been subbing people nonstop with different techniques from kessi but I struggle with the arm triangle, can't wait to try your tips on the mat. Ty
On the Ezekiel finish, are you looking to compress over the carotid? Any tips for finishing? I seem to apply a lot of pressure, but also tend to hurt my own fingers in the process.
James Lamar Keep on playing with it. You’ll find the sweet spot. Give it 8 to 10 seconds before you give up. If your fingers are getting hurt, try getting a better four finger grip inside your sleeve. Make a tight fist in your sleeve before you go. Think of it as grabbing a rope. You gotta have a strong grip before you climb. Straightening your arms closes the choke. Notice how coach posts his foot out to allow him to straighten his arms more. If you have a clean position on their carotid, it shouldn’t take all your might. Good luck!
