The way this game portrayed force alignment, specifically that of the Light Side, matched this music perfectly. I remember playing the game the first time, doing a few good deeds not knowing what would happen, and going to the character screen. I saw that hint of blue along with the character having a more relaxed stance just as this music started playing. A wave of legitimate serenity washed over me. It is amazing how music can complement a game and how a game can also complement music.

I never thought about Taris in that way. But it all fits. The city's colour scheme is purple which is perfectly in the middle of the dark/ light side slider. This is the place you go to before you decide who you will be, Sith or Jedi. A place of choosing.

Anyone else wanna cry listening to old there old tunes? This was my childhood. These street shops were my favorite places to visit when I was a kid. Alot of these places were safe spaces for me when I grew up. We tend to forget the medicine we used to heal so long ago, these songs and places are still a part of me.

It’s been a few years since my last replay. Kotor is a comfort game that can instantly take me back to my childhood. Those early years when I could get super-immersed in a video game. They felt so real and exciting. I hope I’m able to experience that again someday.

When I was a kid I used to sit in these locations sometimes to just hear the city and feel like I was there. I would fall asleep sometimes and wake up feeling like I just woke up on Taris and had a whole life there as well. Such an amazing game and an amazing time, it's too bad, I feel that some people will never get to experience it the way I did.

Taris amazed to the point, that back in 2003 I believed Coruscant was the unique case of a city-planet. Before playing KOTOR I didn't know it was destroyed, so I guessed, what happened to it during the Empire rule. I was glad to see it back again in Empire at war, where you could conquer Taris and learn a bit about its tragic history. Interestingly Taris seems to be the only location in KOTOR (besides Yavin IV), which isn't linked to a Star Forge quest directly. It also contrasts a lot with many other places, be it Tatooine, Kashyyk, Dantooine or Korriban. Gladly other characters mention Coruscant, so inadvertently you compare the two ecumenopoli.

Even today 20 years later. The ambiance, that solemn soule tune, ships whizzing by; the droids, etc. magical. And I never played it back in day so no nostalgia glasses! This is peak star wars!
