Cool, I was just wondering because I live in the UK and am not at university yet but I have to learn this for my exams. Its crazy how much the education system's differ between different places of the world.
Beautiful and well done. I am a professor and will be using your video to help my students learn transcription and translation. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and artistic skill.
I have literally read so many books trying to understand translation and transcription and couldn't get the hang of it. But this video made it so easy!!! Thank you so much!!
No matter how confusing class is I can always rely on TH-cam to help me understand😂And people always assume we teens use social media like TH-cam for crap... not true.
Tutors, subscription study services, and piles of books, but this is the FIRST and ONLY thing I've seen that allowed me to understand transcription and translation. Thank you so much!!
After watching your video, I can say with full confidence that if my teacher tells me to explain this process in detail, I'd be very much able to satisfy her with my explanation which I'd have never been able to do w/o your help. Thanks a lot!
you are just awesome....I am a great fan of how you present the entire data in a lucid manner....thank you.... keep adding more....its always a treat watching you works.
This is so great! Just one note worth mentioning: the peptide chain builds on the A site- attaching to the newly entered aa there-- and then passes to the P site when all the tRNA move to the left so that the one in the E site can go. Thanks for making this! Great job!
I agree whole heartedly with previous comment, but have to say such a huge thank you for this amazing presentation, clear concise, got every last detail that I could not follow thru text book or lecturer. you are a gift to all students please keep up the good work. pace of delivery was brilliant, pauses gave time to get it. I am now confident that biochem exam will not be an issue. karen
This is literally one of the best biology videos i have seen in terms of understanding. Just Fantastic. I learned transcription and translation in about 10 mins because of this video. Keep it up!
I cannot even begin to explain how amazing you are for taking your time to draw all this out! I literally just understood everything I need to know for my final, there is really no need to study more! I truly appreciate it ! Thank You!
You explained Protein Synthesis in a extremely neat and clear manner, which is all I was looking for in a video. I like how you took your time in explaining the whole process and also created extremely helpful visuals about on the topic (since I am very visual-minded). I am currently a 1st year university and forgot about all about Protein Synthesis from high school, so this video was a HUGE help to review for it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
This was the only video which has truly given me an understanding of how RNA transcription and translation worked.. very artistic.. Thankyou for sharing this..
I faithfully attend lecture to find out what I need to learn, and get a sense of whats happening. Then I go home and watch your videos and actually learn the material. Thanks so much for all your work.
Your videos are the perfect way of summarise what i learned in class. It puts it all together and becomes logic. I'ts also a nice and easy way of repeating and refreshing knowledge. Thanks
I read the subject when I was medical student many times for hours I could not retain the information. In 11 minutes your gave me all I need. Great man. Excellent . No wounder you have 579k subscribed tiil May 2014. Thanks for all your effort.
Love your explanations. I wish you have your own channel with notes to buy. You are such a perfectionist....May God Almighty bless your efforts and reward you for all of your efforts.
That was fabulous. There were some details left out that my teacher required: --Spliceosomes, which remove the introns from the preRNA, are made from SNRNA (small nuclear RNA). The amino acid chain forms a polypeptide, which then folds into a protein. Important to know that it doesn't come out of the ribosome as a protein. Also, she requires the description of the promoter sequence of a gene, such as the TATA box, which is 25-35 base pairs before the transcription start site of a gene. (You use the template strand of DNA as a template, to get a copy of the other strand, with the TATA box.) I would also appreciate detailed information about the TIC, in initiation. However, though it was a bit simplified, it gave me an excellent picture of how the whole thing works!! All in all, great overview, could use a few more details.
You are doing a fantastic job man, excellent video!! Let me thank you on behalf of all the people whose life becomes easy just because you take the pain of explaining it so nicely. You are saving the world man, One concept at a time:p !! THANKS A LOT!!
I love your teaching method. You've made my boards studies journey enjoyable. I love learning with your videos. I hope you get a job at HARVARD you deserve it. thank yooouuu!
Great job, man! You made each and every concept crystal clear. First time I am amazed by such teaching. A virtual hug from me. You saved me from failing, Thanks teacher. Love you!
Your videos are phenomenal. Your artwork is so organized, fun, and helps make things so clear! Also, the info is detailed with what you need to know to do well if you are taking biology classes or trying to get into a medical school, like myself. Thanks for taking the time to create these videos and for sharing them :)
Awesome illustration! One mistake- the "anticodon" on tRNA was labelled as a codon. Strange, because you verbally stated that codons are on mRNA & anticodons are on tRNA. Anyhow, this really cleared up my understanding of transcription & translation. Thank you!
Came to TH-cam searching a good video on a bit more complicated issue but came across this one and could not skip it! Great job! If science was Pop this video would have millions of views :)
@11:00 A codon is a sequence on mRNA. It calls for a specific AA to be brought to the growing polypeptide. Anticodon is a sequence on tRNA. It matches the codon. Thanks for making these Armando!
I took a genetics course and got an A, but I still did not truly understand how everything fit together. I am watching your video to review for another course and it all makes sense now! Thank you so much for making this!
This video explains transcription and translation within 15 minutes, better than school has over the past few years. Thanks for all the help. Shall be able to get a better grade in Biology now :)
Yeah i search and watch whole videos about this topic on u2be...but this is the only one with good explanation. In contrast with KA here is more information and easy to understand. Thnks at all!!!! EXCELLETN JOB
Its hardwork and your creativeness that is paying off Sir.. Its mind-blowing teaching with ease. It was very easy for me to grasp things which would usually have not. Its study of my types. It would be really nice if you could have uploaded full length course of National Board Dental Examination Covering all topics for exam. Keep going.. Waiting for more to be uploaded. Thanks and regards Dr. Urmi
I have an exam day after and was really struggling with this topic. Thankyou so much for clearing it within such a short time span. Absolutely Amazing video
Once again, thank you for doing the video about Transcription and Translation, I would not understand this at all without watching this!!!! Love your video like always!!!!!!!
Great job, man! You made each and every concept crystal clear. First time I am amazed by such teaching. A virtual hug from me. You saved me from failing, Thanks teacher. Love you! :)
Great video. I was able to make sense of what I saw and heard in the lecture theater after watching your video. Your sketches as you explained really help visual learning that lacks during the lecture. Thank you
When I leave my A&P class and have questions, you are one of my go-to-guys! Your videos are simple explanations packed with information, yet slow enough they are easy to follow. And you don't sound like some old guy that is talking just to hear his own voice. This is the first video of yours that uses more than red and black ink... and I'm not sure I like that (lol). It was a little strange. But thank you Armando! I do no believe I would be making A's in my biology classes if it was not for you.
I cant thank you enough for these videos. Watching ur videos have been a great help to my understanding. I just knwthat continuing on ur video will help me to an A thanks again
Thank you for inspiring me and motivating me. I was an art major in my undergrad and now going into nursing school. I never thought I would be so passionate about art in a different way and now in my pre requisite science courses and thanks to you, I now do :)
Excellent illustration! I learn effectively with simple explanations, color drawings. Absorbed more from this video than a half dozen boring classroom lectures. Please continue posting bio chem videos.
OMG! you're such an artist and a wonderful teacher! I'm about to apply to med-school and i'm stocked that I found your amazing videos! thank you so much for being so passionate about human Biology and teaching. thank you thank you thank you thank you! please don't ever stop! :D

I pay hundreds of dollars for university biology but just end up on youtube learning it better here....
that ain't right
+fishy encounters same here.
+jeff ling are you studying in America?
Nope, Canada
Cool, I was just wondering because I live in the UK and am not at university yet but I have to learn this for my exams. Its crazy how much the education system's differ between different places of the world.
This was an absolutely awesome explanation and made everything clearer that no one else seemed to be able to explain. I also loved the speed of it!!
yes i agree with u Laura
I strongly agree with that.
I strongly agree with that too.
Beautiful and well done. I am a professor and will be using your video to help my students learn transcription and translation. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and artistic skill.
I just want to thank you so much, without this video I would have been struggling at least 10 hours more than I did. Thank you so much!
I must confess as a lecturer that I haven't been able to explain this topic like this for the past 6 years. This is great. You captured many points.
I have literally read so many books trying to understand translation and transcription and couldn't get the hang of it. But this video made it so easy!!! Thank you so much!!
No matter how confusing class is I can always rely on TH-cam to help me understand😂And people always assume we teens use social media like TH-cam for crap... not true.
U work it, girl!😎
Tutors, subscription study services, and piles of books, but this is the FIRST and ONLY thing I've seen that allowed me to understand transcription and translation. Thank you so much!!
Simply brilliant!
If i am not wrong this is the first guy who started biology related videos on TH-cam. I used to follow him a lot back in 2013.
After watching your video, I can say with full confidence that if my teacher tells me to explain this process in detail, I'd be very much able to satisfy her with my explanation which I'd have never been able to do w/o your help. Thanks a lot!
Proud to say that your videos helped me get through college, university and now masters ... Your awesome! ☺️☺️
you are just awesome....I am a great fan of how you present the entire data in a lucid manner....thank you.... keep adding more....its always a treat watching you works.
this is the only video i like on youtube explaining transcription and translation. THANK YOU

this man is absolutely fabulous, I don't need to attend lectures after watching his videos
I faithfully attend lecture to find out what I need to learn, and get a sense of whats happening. Then I go home and watch your videos and actually learn the material. Thanks so much for all your work.
You posted this video in 2014, Im still being amezed by your video in 2018. You are the great man😍
You don't know how easy this made me understand the process of transcription better. Thank you.
Your videos are the perfect way of summarise what i learned in class. It puts it all together and becomes logic.
