Fun fact: jeonghan mentioned in his recent live that they practiced the don quixote choreography for only 2-3 days while going back and forth overseas whenever free time allows their schedule. And look at the result!! They DELIVERED and DEVOURED!
that's amazing considering the number of backup dancers that there are too!!
seventeen didn't have enough time to practice. so they practice this choreo for 3-4 days in the middle of their hectic tour schedule. so maybe that's why they chose to use back up dancer. but learning the choreography, formation, blocking, domino effect and synchronization within 3-4 days is so crazy, proud of them
I think why seventeen is so synchronized because hoshi, their performance leader, make a choreography that has a math in it. like the angle of the arm, what step make look like a good position you know what I mean and hoshi is the one who understand what he's doing specially he has a full choreography in his notebook and I didn't even understand what in his notebook when hoshi pre debut era show it back then.
If you know about the stories of Don Quioxte you'll be supprised. The lyrics and also the cherography are really amazing. They tell us a message that SVT wanna live a life like a warrior. No matter how difficult the world give them, they'll keep moving and get the glory. Really impressed by the choreography in the chorus, it makes me feel like the warriors draw their sword to fight. I'm so inlove with that song 😍
The windmills on the background made it even more amazing… what struck me the most is when Seungcheol and Jeonghan on the last position had their swords crossed and woozi is in the middle. Its like theyre protecting woozi. That was goosebumps.
@@Carmycarmyesq yes it's really true. So so impressed. I always got goosebumps when reading the stories behind their songs. Everything they do give us perfectly performances, even the smallest details. That's why I'm respect SVT so much ! More than being idols, they show me the truly art works.
I don't know why but this choreo reminded me of their dance for 'Thanks'. The mix of powerful and delicate moves was just beautiful!
It’s pretty smart to use back-up dancers for this song. They performed 4 songs during their GDA performance so this way members can get little breaks inbetween their parts without the performance looking bland
So there are 14 backup dancers in this dance practice, so them with SEVENTEEN makes about 27 of them in total.
Don Quixote was their last (4th) song to perform so its understandable they're quite tired 😅 and them using the dancers instead was a really a smart move. I love their performance so much
Jeonghan recently said on his live that they practiced for Don Quixote for about 3 dayswhenever they had the time to while going back and forth South Korea-other countries for their overseas schedules!🥹
The imagery they created with this choreo was IINSANE! They had so many people performing this song, including the dancers, but not a single person was out of sync. As expected of Seventeen 💜
they really needed those backup to hit em moves, because don quixote is the last song in their setlist, and it sounded like they were singing live
I saw some comments thinking bout why they decided to add dancers, and I just wanna add to the conversation that I usually these past recent award shows, they’ve added dancers for certain stages. I can only recall some left and right stages. Since this dance was intended specifically for an award show, it’s nice that they included everyone involved.
At first watch I remembered the fearless stage for the mnet comeback show. There was never a dance practice video. If they made one, they need all dancers involved. For obvious reasons, lmao ^^

5:11 the company's original plan was to debut a 17 member group with an average age of 17. they did manage to get 17 trainees but not all at the same time. the most trainees they had on 17tv at one time was 16. by the time the debut lineup was finalized they had already been using the name seventeen for several years so they just stuck with it.

I was bummed that they didn’t sing this song at their Be The Sun tour 😩 especially looking at Don Quixote live perf in Thailand and watching this video. Would have been so awesome

Ngl, I prefer when SVT works without backup dancers because they're that powerful, like, they don't need anyone to make a stage full. But, they did this with barely any practice and the whole performance started with HOT, so they needed the tiny moments to breathe. They did terrific as always, I'm so proud of them.

I always remember him saying how they would make a line infront of the mirror to make every move one by one and besure they all got it clean and were at the same timing. Definitely admirable how they give so much attention to details, he used a term but I don´t remember it, would try to find the video

i think it's better to do some research about the choreographer of any seventeen's choreography because no disrespect to hoshi but i think the real or main choreographer should get a lot of credits too.
im a carat, and seventeen's main choreographer is a dancer and his name is Choi Young Jun from One Million. He choreographed most of it.

No, their name is seventeen because the number of members is 13 + they are 3 units + they are all one group and 13 + 3 + 1 = 17 that's why their name is seventeen not because they were supposed to debut as seventeen members
kim Samuel trained with svt but her mother think that Samuel was too young to become an idol😌
