How to Make a German Pancake (EASY!) | The Homestead Wife

Are you wishing you woke up on a farm this morning? This quick, easy recipe for German Pancake (or Dutch Baby) will transport you. Here's a quick, fun video with the easiest recipe I know and lots of help from my littlest kitchen helper.
German pancake recipe:
(It doesn't keep, so halve the recipe if you're cooking only for yourself.)
6 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter in large baking dish1
a little powdered sugar for a finishing touch
Heat oven to 350-375. Heat butter in dish. Mix ingredients in bowl, beat until all lumps are out. When oven is hot, pour batter into buttered baking dish. Bake 20-25 minutes or until edges are brown and the middle is puffy. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. (A little mesh strainer comes in handy for that!) Serve in pie-shaped pieces with syrup, or jam, or just plain!
