Different jump behaviour between Duel & FFA (Quake Live)

    Seems like FFA registers jumps at a slower rate than Duel does, making certain things like wall jumps not possible.

      It seems that Duel is the odd one out; CA and TDM behave the same as FFA. I have a feeling autohop changes the physics in duel, more than just related to jumps. I turned it off after playing with it enabled for a month, and after disabling it regular circle and strafe jumping feels faster and more snappy for lack of better term.

      very interesting stuff, I tried the autohop differences and im experiencing the same thing you mentioned, I feel like I have more air control with it off regardless of how early/late I strafe jump when autohop is on. It seems like no autohop is innately faster no matter what youre method is@@baksteen123

    - It would be interesting to compare those jumps on local/public servers (different pings, i.e. 0, 30, 80);
    - on different sv_fps (I'm not sure if it possible though);
    - on different com_maxfps (i.e. 60, 125, 250);
    - and with cg_autohop 1/0.

    I've noticed this difference between TDM and FT in the map Deep Inside where you autohop from mid-rocket up to the RA room. You can do it in TDM but not FT.
