Lord Jamar continued his conversation with DJ Vlad about reparations, and in this clip, he questioned if free college tuition would benefit the Black culture. Jamar explained that while his daughter and wife both went to college and he sees the value in it, he also questioned if it's helping people advance or making them "robots for the machine." Lord Jamar went on to ask DJ Vlad if there was a black equivalent to himself in white culture, which led to a discussion about Black politicians speaking on white issues.

I've heard him give some incredibly ignorant answers and explanations whenever he gets pressed by some of the guests. What he could have said when asked that question by Lord Jamar is what Steven Spielberg said about making the movie, Amistad( about a black slave rebellion/ revolt on the slave ship, La Amistad) that as a white Jewish person. Spielberg, who was mindful of the optics of him as a white man making a movie like Amistad, said that he never felt like he was telling someone else's story, he was telling an American story and a part of American history.
What Vlad could have said was that he feels like he can comment on reparations as a white Russian man because black issues like reparations are still American issues and it's a part of American history and that it's also about social justice and reconciliation( assuming that he knows what those things are) and by doing that, he'd be helping to set the foundation for him giving his opinion on reparations and why he can speak on it. But Vlad's not smart enough to do that and he's no Steven Spielberg.

What else did you want exactly? He said everything there was to say. 80% of the US doesn't think blacks should get reparations. That is shared between 50% white, 25% latino, 8% asian, 5% other. Reparations affect the WHOLE country, meaning that it's everyone's say and that black people won't get a cent unless that 80% feels the solution given sits well with them. In this society full of capitalists, nobody wants anyone to get free money, land, or whatever. So what will they be alright with... Education... is one of those things. I remember when I graduated my Jamaican classmate said that people made faces at him when they saw his cum laude ropes. So going off this example there's a stigma that black people aren't smart and that a college education isn't attainable for them, so they'll GLADLY give that option away.
So what we learned here is that if it affects them, they'll have a say about it. Everyone cares about themselves in America. There's a stigma against black people. The solution needs to make the rest feel like it's in their benefit for them to approve it.
The sooner people wake up to the truth, the sooner shit can get moving in this unfair life. How tf is black people getting paid and no one else only a black issue? You think the government hasn’t done others wrong? And jamar talks schools. I couldn’t go to college cause I couldn’t afford it, in the administration office was a WALL of loans/grant applications and I asked which I qualified for when I was denied help. I qualified for ONE $400 grant. Not enough for one semester of one class at a junior college, and was told point blank that all those grants were for single mothers on 1/8 of the wall and the remaining 7/8 was for people of color. I don’t want to hear the shit, reparation have been here, we all get fucked equally now.

Education is something you don't have to go to college to get, let's be real and what you learn in school you barely use or is just the beginning. Being in the midst will educate you a whole lot more. A lot of these jobs that require degrees can really be on the job training if we're being totally truthful.

I know most modern white aren’t related to slave owners, but a lot of blacks are. so you can’t put that as an excuse for reparations.
