I moved from Chicago to Ghana 8 months ago and I don’t regret it. Best decision ever. Already starting businesses here and building a modern home in the bush.

I hate to break it to you. But africa people sold , i repeat SOLD other africans to europeans in exchnage of guns, liqour, and of course money. If i take it a step further, the black slaves of the americans were already black slaves in africa owned by orher blacks. So if you african americans need to be mad at somebody, they can start with black africans.....Just sayin....Yeah, in know truth hurts, it offends...its often inconvinient...But the truth is the truth.
AFRICA is the future. I’m black American and I would consider moving my family in Ghana. It’s time we bridge that gap and show universal love to each other and build!!!
@@corpsmankind , I can look that up, but still challenge the “our ancestors”. That’s a broad generalization. Even when the Emancipation Proclamation freed the enslaved, some enslavers simply moved to Texas, where they knew they could get away with it. In a similar way that it took two full years, for “freedom” to come to Texas, I’m alleging that most didn’t know about returning to Africa, and even amongst those who may have, centuries of disconnection, wouldn’t make that remotely appealing.
@@donnaanderson2846 the offer for going back was widespread. They wanted them to go, but they didn't force it. I went a private middle school in Ghana so it was set as a prerequisite to know all African civilizations , names of rivers and capitals of all African countries.. we even had songs to guide us.. it was tough as an 13 year old African American to assimilate but it damn sure taught me a whole lot!!
Now that was not nice. I thank that we are trying to Come together and not make light of people writing. No one is perfect. See the break in my writing my mistake you can make fun if you like I have a very tough skin. I was made fun of all my life so go ahead mr. or mrs. know it all.
LOL as if they require that............ Go on.......Name ALL OF THE RIVERS and CIVILAZTIONS. GO ON. Curious why it took you to go to Africa to finally want to learn and study?
My wife and children and I are planning our move as I post this comment. We along with our friends already on the continent want to start a few businesses to support ourselves and help the progression of our brothers in Africa. We’re sick of the US. We know it may not be easy but we’re prepared to work to be where we belong.
The govt of Ghana should abolish the documents system for our brothers Once they land here in Ghana it's should be automatic citizens no need for naturalization or resident permit they are automatically one of us therefore they should be given passports instantaneous at a fee of 1000 dollars finish.they can own property just like us no restrictions free movement and settlement
I agree with the concept, but capitalism is actually global now a days. Sad we're raised this way, as we know children are pure while learning, then they'll conform into adults, and then realize it's unity that builds strength and peace. Elders know, so they either continue the negative lessons or embrace the youth towards a positive future.
Do you know any attorneys in the area that work with Americans on the process of getting the property set up ? They sent me one from the area not sure how far but I would have to come in person.
I disagree. Some of us US African Americans are so mind f***** that we wouldn't do anything but tear down this beautiful nation with their ignorance. They need to be deprogrammed or trained about respecting the land and its people before given citizenship.
I've been in more rural Tharaka County, Kenya since 2020 with no plans on returning. America had 500 years to get it right but to no avail... If I were to be asked the questions related to why I came to Africa I would tell them the following: I AM AT PEACE I am at peace because Africa has embraced me. I am at peace because I’m busy fulfilling my life mission. I am at peace because people around me are at peace. I am at peace because I’m surrounded by beauty. I am at peace because the people and resources I need for this mission will continue to magnetically flow to me with little effort. I am at peace because the rainy season has returned to Kenya after prolonged drought. I am at peace because I can legally collect rain water for personal use unlike other unnamed countries. I am at peace because the water I collected contains no fluoride, the chemical German Nazis used to pacify jailed Jews. I am at peace because the rain contains no toxic metallic nanoparticulates sprayed by government or commercial aircraft. I am at peace because I can use the water to grow grain, organic fruit, or honey-ginger laced Kenyan coffee. I am at peace because the rivers are full and brimming with fish and fertile sediment. I am at peace because “green” has broken out all over. I am at peace because Kitty Cat is my new guardian angel who deftly travels other realms. …without me. I am at peace because Love is the primary force in this universe to which I humbly yield. What do you do for work there exactly? It's quite far from Nairobi just wondering what all you do there to sustain. Are you teaching engineering somewhere?
Wow Reading your comment just brought peace within me. I’m happy for you brother. You just described my dream life, that can surely come true but I face many obstacles here in Western Europe! I KNOW I can go back home, I just need that little more financial security.
You lost me at Kitty Cat. I hope you don’t spread that ridiculousness in Tharaka County. And what is honey-ginger laced coffee plant? No such thing. You can grow coffee and after being ground, and while brewing, add ginger and after brewing, add honey.
I am Nigerian and after 3 years in Germany, I respect Black Americans . Gosh, racism is something and I can’t imagine what it used to be like considering slavery and all. I hope we can all give each other the grace we extend to people who do not look like us for absolutely no reason. ❤

I Am Afrikan And What This Brother Said About Stockholm Syndrome is Accurate. My beloved Brothers and Sisters, Mothers and Fathers on the continent are in love with our oppressors. Even worship them knowingly and unknowingly!!!
I’ll tell you a few things. 1. Slavery, colonialism and oppression had been erased from our history books. We still tell History like the way the white man wrote it down for us when they started schools in Africa. So naturally, Africans look up to the colonialists just like they wanted us to in the past. Check the basic school books in Africa, very little is said about these things. 2. Africans see African Americans just like they see Africans. They treat them like they treat each other, they do not see them as Foreigners and therefore do not think they need extra help. They could be an African who has traveled abroad and returned with an accent, and that’s why the difference appears stark.

I spent 2 weeks (2-16 May) in Accra with my son. We visited the W.E.B. DuBois Museum and realized the African American Association meeting was on the third Sunday of every month. I'm so sorry I missed the gathering. Our experience was fantastic. Before my visit, I had seen a few TH-cam videos about Ghana. Because of these videos, I could understand at least one virtue: patience. The information from this interview was great.
This was a nice, raw and uncut interview 🙌🏽I really respect the honesty and the testimony this gentleman raised in conversation. I got a good understanding of cultural differences of African way vs African Americans. I love my people❤
My wife has asked me to move to Kenya with her. Im already making moves to move there in a few years. Im really tired of being pulled over by the police. I have a place there to stay and something has been tugging on my heart to move there even my friend in Germany has encouraged me to move to the motherland. Im making sacrifices so i can move i will maybe even move in two years im tired and want to go home. The states im not interested anymore.

The African Achilles Heel That Makes “UNITY” Impossible! What is it? It’s our IDENTITY! We are East African, West African, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Ghanaian, Cameroonian, Congolese, Sierra Leonian, Somalian, Nigerian, Ibo, Tutsi, Niger, Kenyan, Aborigine, Bahia, Jamaican, Caribbean, Colored, Negro, Black, African American, People of Color, Minorities, Haitians, Dominicans, Omegas, Alphas, Kappas, Deltas, AKA’s, Links, Jack and Jill’s, Democrats, Republicans, Independents and, … JUST TOO MANY DIVISIONS to be strong, as a People! OUR ASSET??? OUR NUMBERS and OUR IDENTITY! They represent a uniquely rich totality, but only when used. WHEN did all these names come about and from whom? They were imposed upon us by our captors and kidnappers - our slave traders! As long as we continue to use these labels to IDENTIFY OURSELVES, or “allow others to identify us”, we will remain divided, subjugated, disrespected, and WEAK! Who doesn’t want to address it? Well, at first glance, one might think our captors/kidnappers/colonizers would lead the resistance to addressing the question of “identity”, but in actuality their opposition is on “auto-pilot” and led by US! Whenever the subject around “our identity”…how WE will be ethnically known…may arise, we, Africans all over the world are the first to disclaim our original heritage! Thousands of years of mental conditioning have made us protective of an imposed identity which is the antithesis of who we truly are. This multigenerational practice has resulted in seemingly unexplainable hypnotic and self-destructive practices. Our self-destructive practices in many instances of our rescue attempts may be compared to those of a drowning individual’s interactions with a Life Guard; we fight our rescuers or dismiss them as being “valueless” rather than cooperate with the rescue effort! If there must be opposition to the forces of change or rescue, let our opposing energies be accurately directed toward the perpetrators of the problems that WE collectively face all over the world - white supremacy and European oppression! Who has to fix it? Clearly, the guardians of “the status quo”, “the powers that be”, are NOT going to voluntarily give up their material advantages! If this were to be in their plan, they would have executed an equitable spirit of change long ago…based upon the worldwide exposure of truth. The facts of barbarism, savagery, inhumanity, and greed are universally known! In the light of this information, currently we see an escalation of different forms of annihilation, manipulation and desecration of life and land! WE MUST HEAL OURSELVES! There’s no help coming! WE must “BE THE CALVARY”! WE are the very first victims of IDENTITY THEFT and the folks who stole OUR IDENTITY have no plans to give it back! It doesn’t benefit them! WE must heal ourselves by recovering OUR IDENTITY as “the original inhabitants and Diaspora Ascendants of the richest and largest land mass, known universally as, “AFRICA”…by DECLARING OUR IDENTITY (no matter where we are born, IF you pass the “The Mirror Test” or “Brown Paper Bag Test”) as “AFRICAN”! If “unity” is to ever be a reality for AFRICA, for AFRICANS and for AFRICAN ASCENDANTS (no matter where we were taken by force or voluntarily chose to visit on the globe) WE MUST CLAIM THAT ONE IDENTITY - “AFRICAN”, FIRST, above all others FOR OURSELVES! Opposition will arise, as it always does! When it does, we must have “the mindset of the spider” deep within our soul! You see, the spider depends upon his web for protection, for food…for his/her very LIFE. Without that web, they will surely die! They are all innately or instinctively aware of this! So, no matter how many times the web is destroyed, the spider will rebuild it! WE MUST ADOPT “THE SPIDER MINDSET”. In summation, our STRENGTH and our SURVIVAL depend upon our UNITY and our UNITY depends upon our IDENTITY RECOVERY, our SELF-RESPECT and our DECLARATION OF OUR TRUE IDENTITY! IF you’re not sure about who you are, you have no foundation and anyone can play you for a fool! @MLG05312023 #lupe’ #onedollaroneafrica

@12:20 Interesting story but why is that the norm? I think we mistake patience with LOW expectations. We should have high standards for ourselves and establish rules and norms. If a bus is supposed to leave and head to a destination by a certain time, that should be the standard. Having to wait 4 hours after that is not acceptable. Our nations will never develop by accepting low expectations as the norm. This extends to everything paying 'small small' to any kind of worker to get anything done, paying 'small small' at airports, 'small small' for police officers, etc etc...it adds up and robs our nations of revenue to provide better services/infrastructure.
I agree. All it takes is an entrepreneur to realize if trips are scheduled on set days with passengers depositing a portion of the fares in advance by mobile money, the company will fill seats in advance or cancel due to low ridership. Throw in a discount for advance bookings. All are welcome to give this model a go.
Start an African American business...something African Americans are already used to in the States... Chinses people will start a Chinses business, a takeout, wherever you go you can order Chinses food. Start a Soul Food restaurant in Africa, African Americans will find you if your restaurant is good...start the same African American business in Africa.

I dont understand this statement. Most African youth would trade their right arm for one iota of the opportunities black Americans squander. They are not the same.
@@novembrluvwell, American Indians with family names are not African American! They live and from their land, that they still have legal claims to. There’s nothing squandered! this was very nice interview. Nicely done. In addition the editing in the beginning was great. Very surprised the children in Ghana are subjected to Euro-centric education. My friends since you are blessed with your own country, dump that curriculum immediately - if I had my own country I would rigorously focus on the kids starting them early as engineers, builders, online tech, AI and organized systems overall, along with building top athletes to help with world standing and recognition - and of course, so much more.

@55:40 I have always advocated for ECOWAS countries to start a regional airline and have affordable flights/ticket prices for ECOWAS citizens. It can also service high travel areas like Lagos to London, etc. If individual countries such as Ethiopia and Rwanda can operate successful airlines, why can't we as a BLOCK of countries come together and start an airline as well? We also need a standing regional Army, Navy, Air Force, to combat the terrorist slowing spreading throughout Africa...We need regional University system with measurable academics, etc but that is another discussion.
I moved to Africa 2 years ago and I love it, however there is no proper medical care so I came back to the states a month ago to receive proper healthcare. I can’t wait to go back!! I also left DC moved to NJ before going to Africa.
Inspiring. The greatest asset your guest's parents gave to him, was to enrol him in an Afrikan centred school. Its a massive difference, compared to the normal schools, no matter how expensive. I know because my children are enrolled in one and I see the change in their world view, compared to when they were in a catholic school that was teaching them the benefits of colonialism.
I am so glad to read your comment.Growing up on The Other side of the Tracks, as a Black child, kept me from learning about my Black roots. Or, having access to any of those types of books. Black history was not taught in the schools I attended. Unfortunately, I had never heard of Juneteenth, until 12 years ago! Most of the Back history I have learned, was while I was living in Jordan, and N. Africa (this century)! I would love to connect with people from Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Sierra Leone (still living there, or going back). Cheers
Great conversation!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This man is a great guest. He tells our story very well!!!! His analysis of the transition to Ghana and explaining the cultural difference is told in a fair and balanced way. This brilliant conversation will help to bridge the gap and help our people make a smoother transition to their new country.
Expecting us to travel and just know how to fit in should not be expected. I think the "patience" goes both ways especially with us being asked to go back so frequently.
Im just adding a little more. I hope I understood your sentiment. Everyone is battling their own egos. Cant expect a whole nation let alone individuals to be on par with spiritual resilience. I hope we can address some of the structural issues that pave the way for inpatience, permanence, greed, violence.
This was one of the most engaging and informative interviews that I have seen thus far , and I have watched quite a few over the past year and a half. My desire is to get to Ghana. I pray hopefully next Year.
I respect everyone that's African. But alot of us don't lack knowledge we reading and not listening to ideologies. So I respect Africans but want same respect as an American aboriginal. I’m more Ghanaian than anything according to my DNA results, so I do feel compelled to visit one day. There are deep ancestral wounds that I have to be prepared to face and start to heal when I go. I wish I could just go with a completely open heart, but it’s more like a child snatched at birth reunited with their blood family and having no idea if/how they’ll be embraced. Definitely won’t be a vacation.

One of them said he sat in the audience because he wanted to ask question, "what are we returning to?, our home, a peace of land , what are we returning to. what do we have for you to return to?" he was very upset at the false gesture. Welcome to Kenya. The capital of Africa. You'll never regret
I just hope everything work in your favour
The govt of Ghana should abolish the documents system for our brothers
Once they land here in Ghana it's should be automatic citizens no need for naturalization or resident permit they are automatically one of us therefore they should be given passports instantaneous at a fee of 1000 dollars finish.they can own property just like us no restrictions free movement and settlement
If I were to be asked the questions related to why I came to Africa I would tell them the following:
I AM AT PEACE
I am at peace because Africa has embraced me.
Mechanical/Solar Engineer, Prof. Oku Singer
PS: I made a video of this testament at inventionschool dot tech/i-am-at-peace/
What do you do for work there exactly? It's quite far from Nairobi just wondering what all you do there to sustain. Are you teaching engineering somewhere?
Wow
Reading your comment just brought peace within me.
I’m happy for you brother. You just described my dream life, that can surely come true but I face many obstacles here in Western Europe!
I KNOW I can go back home, I just need that little more financial security.
Is illegal to collect rain water in America??
You lost me at Kitty Cat. I hope you don’t spread that ridiculousness in Tharaka County.
And what is honey-ginger laced coffee plant? No such thing. You can grow coffee and after being ground, and while brewing, add ginger and after brewing, add honey.

In America we NEVER see beautiful images of Africa. We don't see Sky scrapers or the magnificent beaches Cities. We have been exposed to huts, starving babies and war. Brain washing over the life span is real.

I can comfirm
Yes most definitely so true
Is unbelievable.

WE must heal ourselves by recovering OUR IDENTITY as “the original inhabitants and Diaspora Ascendants
of the richest and largest land mass, known universally as, “AFRICA”…by DECLARING OUR IDENTITY (no matter where we are born, IF you pass the “The Mirror Test” or “Brown Paper Bag Test”) as “AFRICAN”!

Start by getting a chase sapphire or any other travel credit card. I actually use it to pay my rent, just to gain travel points. I’ve accumulated enough airfare points to take a 7 day vacation to Zanzibar. Now, all I have to do is pay for the hotel. Flight paid for with my travel points
Unfortunately most of us do.
@@qwiktips6804 💯👍🏽❣️
@@qwiktips6804 Nah maybe thats like um, just your family...Yall not gonna put teenage spending habits on all the aunties/uncles and pastors and deacons, etc. I know and have seen. Imaging taking the teen\young man slice and applying it to the whole group and thinking that holds up. smh...
Designer things are for kids or kids mentality. Watch how many elderly in the USA become homeless in the coming years.
Your interview covered a lot of ground. Thank you for bringing your lived experiences on the continent. Africans/African Americans must work more together. I'd like to hear Africans testimony about their experiences getting to know African Americans, as business partners, professionals, community organizers and developers, business😮 leaders, neighbors, spouses, tourists...
I've only visited the continent once but the feeling that came over me was confirmation that I need to take the next step. Find my why and my ancestral line. Thank you for this video! I will be purchasing and gifting his book as well. Ghana by 2030❤
Excellent Educational conversation.
I visited Ghana in 2022 and planning to go back this year to start planning and searching for where I want to start my business. Does Ghana make it easy for black AA to start a life there? I'm not sure, but I'm about to find out. Its very refreshing to see a black man talk about living the USA. Most don't even travel state to state. Much love King.
A Very eloquent and Wise Brother 🎩✊🏾
Hey my bro, you are a big deal. More strength to you and what you stand for.
😂 "I can't fight ALL THESE Mofo's!"
I'm glad you made it out alive! ❤
Such a great dialogue, so many gems dropped. Africa definitely is the future.
Hayford....your edits are 🔥🔥
😂😂😂 thank you Ivy 🙏🏿
An AMAZING conversation with Diallo. Im in agreement with his educated and informed socioeconomic views of the condition of black people.
First time here. Already have his book in my Amazon shopping cart. Subscribed. Thank you!
This is one of your best interviews Capt. Diallo got that east coast hustler spirit and the Nigerian 🇳🇬 hustler spirit working wonders for him. His Fulani & Gabon ancestors must be proud of him.
Yo, Brother, I enjoyed your discussion with tears in my eyes. I desperately want to visit Ghana.
Brilliant idea 👏🏽
I moved to Africa 2 years ago and I love it, however there is no proper medical care so I came back to the states a month ago to receive proper healthcare. I can’t wait to go back!! I also left DC moved to NJ before going to Africa.
Diallo always stokes that fire in my belly to come home
What a great interview. I don’t know why/how the algorithm thought that I needed to see this but I really enjoyed it.
Contradiction:There is nothing " normal" about wyt schools that indoctrinate you in lies.
The type of education makes all of the difference.
Cheers
The African race needs to build their own racial destiny and universe
Its been so refreshing to listen to this gentleman. I am South African and this man has spoken so much sense.
Magnificent interview, Diallo 🔥 🔥🔥
2:10 lol none of my shoes are name brand
I'll never move back to the United States
I would say the same if I am financially secured
Me either
@@nobs997 Me too.
I love this man! More grace from Nigeria 🇳🇬
This was one of the most engaging and informative interviews that I have seen thus far , and I have watched quite a few over the past year and a half. My desire is to get to Ghana. I pray hopefully next Year.
Come to Uganda, east Africa, you will like it here better
I thank GOD I was able to go to Gambia stayed 30 days now buying land for a Airbnb n a farm I thank the LORD
African must tell their people respect us as African!
You're not African though. You're American. This is not your land, and you'll not going to colonize us. You're a guest, keep it in your place.
How are you an African! without taking ancestry DNA test fake
You're right
My people lack knowledge about who there people is
When u point a finger there’s 3 fingers pointing back at u 🙃
I respect everyone that's African. But alot of us don't lack knowledge we reading and not listening to ideologies. So I respect Africans but want same respect as an American aboriginal. From what provable history tells us. The emblems of America are hidden in the British museum from 1798. You got to get an appointment to got see it
Dammmm this was powerful my brother
Hey man... this is your frat brother. I see that African Ancestry is going to Gabon in October. Are you putting this trip together because I'm not seeing any details
This interview was riveting! Thank you to the host...Im going to get in touch with his agency... Excellent content, deep, informative, heartfelt - Im coming. I have planned in my mind already to come to Kenya, but love what youre doing in Ghana! It may be that you create a line of books that explores a few other places to guide expats in their repatriation journeys. My heart and soul has already repatriated. I dont know if I can or should move there due to health concerns, but visiting, doing business - absolutely! Love your school and all you are doing. ❤❤❤
I am so very intrigued by this interview with Brother Diallo. I'm enjoying your legacy story.🥰❤️🖤💚✊🏾🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿👍🏾👍🏾
He dropping GEMS and FACTS. Yall better listen....
when i realized the visa was increased specifically at the time of the cry for us to return... i was like.....huh? seriously... there are other things i saw as well like lines of africans standing in the cold in dc ghana embassy waiting to pick up there visa when the place was empty inside where it was warm. i was surprized as this cold treatment and it spoke volumes to the "welcome" atmostphere. a deligations of kings came to dc. One of them said he sat in the audience because he wanted to ask question, "what are we returning to?, our home, a peace of land , what are we returning to. what do we have for you to return to?" he was very upset at the false gesture. Anyway... it is all good that we are finally returning home but we all need to get our act together and stop pimping, using one another as a temporaty come up.
I love this guy!!! Did a great job of answering the interviewer's judgy questions lol. He/we both could benefit from some of those cross-cultural discussions. I'll be living on the continent very soon.
Make sure to give back to the community
I just got a good teaching worth paying for. Thanks bro. 🇯🇲
I really love what Diallo is saying. Let Ghana make an ambassor for diaspora. This guy is an asset. I love u brother. God will bess u sir. From uganda
There is one in Ghana...you can check it...she is a woman
That's a well informed African American, I enjoyed the conversation
This man is speaking pure facts
I’m more Ghanaian than anything according to my DNA results, so I do feel compelled to visit one day. There are deep ancestral wounds that I have to be prepared to face and start to heal when I go. I wish I could just go with a completely open heart, but it’s more like a child snatched at birth reunited with their blood family and having no idea if/how they’ll be embraced. Definitely won’t be a vacation.
The motherland 👀🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭 is calling my sister, and the healing process will synchronized naturally.
Stay Blessed and don't hesitate to ur ancestral calling for u are not alone. Stay Blessed
I love this channel! Let’s change the narrative together!
What a knowledgeable Brother!!!! Great interview, Host!!!!
I loved this video because it was very informative. Thanks for sharing, I would love the interviewer contact so that I can make arrangements to visit the continent.😊
I love this dialogue….. I served as a Diplomat in West Africa for many years I’d love to get in contact with my brother
Thank you webnation for bringing this inspiring guest. What a beautiful interview did not want it to end. Diallo that is an amazing mindset you have. I enjoyed everything you said and admire the Kazi community centre. It sure is going to be one busy centre. Wish the price of tickets would come down to give more people a chance to travel to the motherland. Peace and blessings
Watching this video lmk I don't wanna wait 4 hours for a ride. I will definitely visit & not plan to relocate. Thank you for the honesty. ❤️
