This entire channel is a godsend as a Vroid vtuber who wants to improve my model and streams so much. I'm super excited to see what else you have in the future!
is there a way to do it with hair textures aswell every time i try for most of the hair it looks fine but the front hair strains are sortoff blurry mix between the 2 color idk how to explain it
teh first texture that's as standerd isnt going fully transparent also with the clothes i have one that is darker than the basic texture and that one look fine but i also have one that lighter and you still see the basic texture trough it do you know the solution to this ??.,
How did you manage to get your avatar in with its textures? That's the ONE thing Im looking for and nobody's tutorials are correct. They're all outdated. I can export any file type I want, the character textures don't follow and it just becomes a gray blob, (and the textures that ARE there are gray as well, it seems.)
That doesn't make any sense to me honestly. The univrm plugin will import the model with textures, IF it's an exported Vroid model. If it's a model from Blender it's a completely different thing. If you are up for it, feel free to message me on Discord and I can see what I can do to help you. (link is in the description, just dm me from the server/ friend me and then hop off)
@@LadyAska also, I will restart again from scratch. If I still can't get it to work for some odd reason, I will reach out on discord. Thanks for the tip!
@@kiyokumabear Not really to be honest. (it doesn't matter if your .vrm file was exported from Vroid or another app) BUT the method on how you obtained it makes a difference. Your .vrm from Vroid comes with the materials and textures guaranteed. If it was created and exported anywhere else, than this is not a guaranteed factor. (because the creaor has to imbed these textures to the model first and export them specifically with it)
you should be able to (I think) just redo the albedo of each texture with the texture that's supposed to be there, not the most convenient but only takes an extra 20s (I only think because I haven't tried, but I do import models to unity from blender a lot and have to apply the same fix)
Nothing has changed since version 1.0. The export function of Vroid is on the top right, right beside the photo camera icon. (looks like a box with an arrow upwards) If you click on that, you get the option to "export as vrm". I hope that helped :)
This is a godsend of a video but I do have issues with it tho, for me the texture just slightly overlays the first one, I can still see the first layer on my model despite swapping to the second texture. Is there a fix for this?
Hm weird, something like this shouldn't even be possible, if you actual put the texture slider up to 1, to fully expose the texture (during the part where you create the animation) There aren't any transparency options as well, so it should work fine. I actually did some eye texture swaps, just 2 days ago without any issue. But if you want, I could give a look at it. I am so glad you find the Tutorials useful.
Best of luck on your VTuber journey!
Great video!! Texture swapping provides additional effects to your character.
Yes! It's pretty cool! :D

Excellent tutorial! I'm going to play with this now and see what else I can do! 💜

@@LadyAska is there a difference between VROID and VRM format? I've been trying with VRM and if that's the issue, hopefully it will be fixed...

How do I export VRoid avatars in 1.4.2... I have looked everywhere, and it would be really helpful for a up to date tutorial on this. Ty.
