1:32 Those flight yokes look very similar to the ones used on Concorde. 5:12 That soapy water method is what I use to find an air leak in a car tire as well.
Helios Airways Flight 522 because the maintenance crew that did the same test but forgot to put Aircraft Pressurization back to Auto mode. Everyone suffocated to death.
The pilots should have noticed that though during pre-flight checks to put back to auto. That is part of every professional pilots flow if flying a pressurized aircraft.
Aircraft systems EMBRAER family - could you explain to me - how PRESSURIZATION DUMP BUTTON is connected with an oxygen masks? @6:31 Because auto deploy happens only when CABIN ALTITUDE exceeds 14 000 ft...?
I don't think the Pressurization Dump Button is directly connected with the oxygen masks. The oxygen masks probably are controlled by a module that has independent sensors that detect cabin pressure loss. My best guess is that when those sensors detect cabin pressure loss, the masks drop automatically no matter what. If the pilot presses the Pressurization Dump Button the same thing happens and sensors simply react to the sudden loss of cabin pressure although i am still a student and not an AMT, A&P or licensed maintenance aircraft engineer so don't take my word for it.
I think the oxygen masks deploy because the DUMP button causes a more rapid depressurization of the cabin. It would be the same if a window blew out at altitude.
Why would the handle swing hard towards you at higher cabin pressure when the cabin is at a higher pressure than the outside? My understanding is that the air in the cabin escaping to the outside would push the handle away from you and towards the outside.
the doors of the Embraer aircraft I'm not sure about other's on the inside of that plastic inner flap he sticks his hand into is a door vent the handle pulls towards you and this is the handle he is referring to if you pause the video as he reaches in and back out you can see a red handle labeled door vent. the handle would be hard to pull towards you if not be impossible when the cabin is fully pressurized I think this is what he meant.
I'm not in aviation or maintenance or aircraft anything but this was fascinating. Great information, and also nicely shot and edited!

Great video! Thanks for uploading. Keep them coming.

As an A&P in General aviation, this makes me wanna make a switch lol
Great Demo!!!
thank you! and thanks for watching

These EJet videos are absolutely fantastic. Are there any more on the way?!
Very interesting video! Thanks a lot for posting it!
Very educational!!! Thank you!

Can you presurize the cabin with the APU?
This test is done with the APU.
yes indeed, apu is considered as the primary source of air. but still u can also use external ground air source and engine to pressurize the airplane.
its good you had switched it back to auto at the end cuz the manual had killed people before 😟
Cabin pressurized to almost 10,000 feet BELOW sea level? :-O
Woow! Great video! Thank you!!!
Awesome!
Thank you very much
thx +++ superb vidéo !
gembung nya pesawat ternyata perlu di ukur ... terima kasih..
Are you a republic employee?
Nope
Love this video
