One of my fave combos is Apollos attack buff, that gives a ton more range and damage. This together with the axe makes each hit almost the whole screen wide
Apollos omega cast upgrade was my first completed run, it was doing 2k dmg per cast for me by the end stages. Just so good
Its amazing if you pair it with the one that makes it expand. So much aoe
can confirm with cotton, second boss is SO cool
also its Tar-OH not Tar-OT cards
So far my best run was with the moons fountain charges, that gives you x heals and refresh at fountains.

Defeated Chronos for the first time only because of this. I got to him with 15 charges and left with 4. Holy shit that fight is absurdly harder than Hades

My strongest runs have been with Demeter and using Arachne's sash until it breaks, then Chaos keepsake for those random but potentially game changing boons
I don't like the emphasis on sprinting instead of dodging so far. And all my builds feel like I'm hitting with a wet noodle once I'm in act 3. I started consistently getting past the act 2 boss after 4 or 5 runs but it takes ages to finish each stage, mostly spamming specials at range with scorch on them.

I made it to chronos with the small knives and a posiedon special build with dedalus hammer that allows my special to return, but I died because chronos wouldn’t let me pause during the boss fight to search up how to beat him
Go with a cast boon either Apollo or hesphestus cast but you need the zues boon that lets you place the cast wherever and hits the area with lightning . Pom tf out of your cast and pick up any other cast boon boosts like the crit one you get from Artemis that gives your cast a crit chance. Shit slaps . lol admit the end is a little frustrating at times but it feels like it takes less boons to get you going than hades 1. The cast in this game is pretty op early on and it doesn't really matter what weapon you pick.
@@stewpidaso1024 I just got my first Chronos kill on run 13 primarily using cast. I got Chaos cast dmg %, hades 100 flat dmg projectile cast, and poseidon omega cast dmg, it hit like a truck.
Got 220h in this game already and - Deadelus hammer upgrades aren't that good(understatement of the century) in second part of Hades so it depends on a weapon, and game will throw you those hammers until you get atleast 2.
So It isn't insta-pick for me anymore except on Knives, but game throws you those until you have two, so I'd rather take Chaos if it is present.

the first time i played this i played for 4 hours straight and it realy felt like i had played only an hour or so
This is my 2nd rogue game I've played I quit playing returnal because runs took so long. I got to the 3rd main boss in returnal and quit.
I have been having fun with hades 2 and not normally my type of game but this one is a fun one.
I made it to my first run against chronos on about my 13 night and he actually wouldn’t let me pause the game to watch videos😭 on how to beat chronos. I got him to about 10% health fully blind and I died
There's a tarot card you can gain that gives you 2 magick per second as passive regen
i guess double dash was op in the original Hades, they removed it, i used to just spam dash and hit
Honestly did the technical test and then was able to beat the first boss after about 3-4 tries, then got to the next boss and was stuck for awhile, but just beat it and speed all the way to the fourth boss and honestly wants trying to stay alive. I felt if I kept succeeding that I would lose out on stuff that would make the game more fun and enjoy the story more. So now I’m going to focus on getting stronger in other ways as I have no desire to fully beat the final boss until I do more. Though it could have been a lucky run is all.

I’m saying that if didn’t take me long in the early access to beat the first boss with the technical test practice we get.
@@ABower-dm7my me too, first time playing this kind of game(but i have really great reflexes) and beat the 4 boss on the 8th run, but it was a nice experience!
I feel like I never use the cast ability, miss the old one for sure (Demeturrets). I also miss the old weapons but I'm learning to love these as well. Mote it be 10/10
Took me time to get used to it but the new cast is actually super good even without upgrades just for crowd control dropping one right where a group of monsters are spawning will make them stuck. spend some time forcing yourself to use itll be second nature in no time
Also worth noting if you are REALLY struggling with the game & just want to start progressing there is an option to put on "God Mode" this significantly changes how the game plays and makes you more powerful with each death
Lol imagine playing a rogue-like on ez mode 😂 what a riot. I beat chronos without god mode on my 13th run and the game was already so hand holdy by that point

That being said some other builds are still fun, but a full caster build with the staff and mana regen card with hex spam is so fun

Chronos in phase 2 is f*ing garbage to read. You hust pray you stand in the right area or get punished if you don't

Just entered early access phase - the game isn’t even close to being done w/ a release not expected until 2025. Personally, so far, I prefer the characters / weapons / enemies from the original Hades. Of course the build is still early and I’ve only “beaten” it once so anything is possible. (Either way it’s still great to have a new rogue like to play)
