I actually really enjoyed her monologues cause it sold her as an awkward girl who didn't have fully developed social skills. Combine that with humor defense mechanism it adds to her charm.
I must completely disagree with your hatred of the monologue, I really enjoyed it, not because I didn’t know what was going on, but it gave a comedic aspect to those slower scenes which needed more life, and hearing Ava’s thoughts really helped in watching those scenes. Ava, who spent most of her life in her own head as a quadriplegic, would have had a lot time thinking about things she couldn’t do because of her own situation, now someone in her place would be over thinking everything as she experiences things for the first time, so it also makes sense to hear her thoughts from that perspective, it helps the audience to relate to Ava’s feelings and thoughts as a person that never experienced anything that the audience experienced in their own lives. This constant reminder that she is experiencing everything for the first time causes us to sympathize with her.
This show is more like Wynonna Earp than Buffy. Also, Wynnona Earp is waaayyyy better than van helsing. So if you finish warrior nun I suggest Wynonna Earp

No one noticed that adriel is probably not the evil dudes name. When he showed up, a random warrior is who called him by that name and he just went with it
I don't think Adriel is a demon, I think Adriel is the Michael displaced in time. Also I don't think the portal leads to heaven or hell, just another universe, and the reason the "demons" keep coming is that Adriel robbed them of the halo, maybe it's a power source.
Hmm interesting, but I doubt its Michael because he liked Ava, especially since she made him feel better when near him, but he will probs have powers or at least special properties after travelling to the other universe

First episodes were really a bit boring and annoying especially with ava, but beatrice and other characters keeps me watching.

The whole "Bling Ring" Arc was, more than anything, a way to connect Ava to the "Real world", give her hope for a normal life, and acceptance, and then take it away from her, consequently teaching her that like it or not she's different, and that if she wants acceptance, she doesn't have to look as far as she thinks.
We have to earn it. The best shows are the ones where we feel something for the character. Not to mention Ava is new to her power and to this world. So are we.

Well hearing that people didn’t like Ava’s inner monologue’s came as a surprise. And I have to obviously disagree. I really did need some of that dialogue to follow the plot otherwise certain scenes, like Ava “suddenly” deciding to leave cat’s cradle, would have seemed really random and confusing. It also made her character so much more lovable. Doing that was a risk and it was most definitely the right risk to make.
this is the first I have seen this of Screen Rand and I will add this is one of the most exciting series I have seen and the 2nd season to the Warrior Nun has been in the can and ready since November of 2021 and it's suppose to be released this winter of 2022
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the series. I watched one to see what it was about because the name was so goofy... Then ended up burning through the entire series in one evening.
They did make a 2nd season and season 3 won't be happening, but fans successfully campaigned for a trilogy of movies and the possibility of more movies and a new TV series!

I'm reserving my judgement on Father Vincent until season two explainers. He seemed like he didn't want Adriel to fight the girls and looked disappointed when Adriel decided to sic all the daemons on them. I feel like either Vincent knows more about Adriel or at least has a bunch of lies given to him by Adriel and thinks he is doing the right thing. Doesn't make him less of a traitor but motivation is important. Also, I'm a sucker for the 'serious/reserved dude rolls back his shirt sleeves and becomes a badass' trope.

I just started watching season 2 yesterday... but seeing as it's been a while I did a quick refresher binge of season 1 ... because why not?
Loved this show, saw it in 2 days. I can't wait for season 2.

Continuum is probably my Favourite sci-fi show ever. It's not the most spectacular but the characters and the writing are amazing!
I was really hoping that my initial guess about Father Vincent was wrong... It wasn’t, though I didn’t know WHY he was a traitor so that still stung.

I'm reserving my judgement on Father Vincent until season two explainers. He seemed like he didn't want Adriel to fight the girls and looked disappointed when Adriel decided to sic all the daemons on them. I feel like either Vincent knows more about Adriel or at least has a bunch of lies given to him by Adriel and thinks he is doing the right thing. Doesn't make him less of a traitor but motivation is important.
Also, I'm a sucker for the 'serious/reserved dude rolls back his shirt sleeves and becomes a badass' trope.
Father Vincent’s “betrayal” gave me Hodge in Shadowhunter vibes.
