    Fantastic video! Very detailed and straight forward. Looking forward to getting my 2022 (which is still on order) and installing this. If I were to use an S-Pod, how would those wires connect? I'm thinking the main power wires would still go to the battery, but the black and purple wire would go to the S-pod? Any tips would be appreciated.
    Again, great job. Thanks for posting this one!

    hey man looking to run a compressor set up on the zr2. Would you recommend going with the dual or do you think the single is adequate for the average offroader.

    • @rockyour4x4

      I think the single is adequate but the dual is so much faster.

      They are fused and on a stud of the fuse block.

    Hi, I really enjoy this series. I recently purchased a new 2019 ZR2 Bison for a do everything vehicle: daily driver, light off roading, and long trips. Since it's a Bison a lot of the mods you've completed were already done, and I've added a Comeup winch, GMPP front level kit and tie rod sleeves. I think air and new tires/wheels might be it (I also have GoFast camper top on order, but that a ways out). I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with:
    1) Tire and wheels: At this point I would just be going to 285/75, not 35", and I am looking at going down to 16" wheel for more sidewall and air volume. The Method Race Wheel 702 is 16x8, 6x120, +30/5.60 ,which is almost exactly the offset of the stock wheels. Would this set up work? Would a 0 offset wheel be better? I'm a bit concerned about the bigger tire hitting the upper control arm, but I don't see anything online about that and it seems that lots of people are running 285/75 on stock wheels.
    2) Is there any point in saving money and going with a ARB single compressor?
    3) Random little questions. The AEV fairlead comes with those bolts that have a 6mm hex key drive. I find that these are really tough to tighten with any toque and not damage, they seem better suited for a bicycle than a truck! Do you have torque specs for the these bolts? I can't seem to find anything online.
    Thanks for your help and if Im ever in the Knoxville area I'll be sure to stop by.

    Is the blue AND red wire fused together on the stud of that fuse block? I'm just curious as to why the switch doesn't stay lit up if the blue wire is connected to the battery. Nice work!!

    • @rockyour4x4
      @rockyour4x4  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, blue and red together. Nice catch!

    • @MrCoryReynolds
      @MrCoryReynolds 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rockyour4x4 Nice. Why then doesn't the switch light stay on? I noticed in the video it's off until you turn switch on. I was worried if I fuse those two wires together the light will stay on all the time. Thanks! By the way I ordered your Sherman Cap and love it...nice little addition to the project.

      @rockyour4x4  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrCoryReynolds the red wire is connected to constant but the blue wire is pulled back to switched power at the same terminal as the compressor.

    Why put the compressor in hot engine compartment

    • @rockyour4x4
      @rockyour4x4  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because that’s wasted area and it does not affect the performance of that compressor one bit.

    • @ridered7394
      @ridered7394 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Excess heat will shorten the life of anything, don’t see how a air compressor would be exempt from that 🤷‍♂️

    • @rockyour4x4
      @rockyour4x4  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ridered7394 we install hundreds of these. The heat from the compressor filling (4) 40” tires trumps any heat radiating from the engine in the back corner of the engine bay.
