I pretty much just play to relax or chill with some buddies while we work on accomplishing our tasks for the time we play and do whatever events that pop up. Some like to work on building their camps and we all check it out and appreciate their creativity. Some like to try their hand at getting resources to eventually roll that awesome legendary piece of weapon or armor. Some just like going around and helping others that are new to the game. Some do a lot of trading and thrive in that economy. Some just want to hoard resources and items. There's lots of different things people gravitate towards in their gameplay loop. There's nothing quite like the flavor Fallout 76 in an online capacity.
I think my biggest regret about this video is going to be that I can’t experience what every player likes to do with their time in Fallout 76, it’s been great to hear from so many people about their experiences and how they’ve managed to make their own fun in the game. Think this is a really important point/comment and wanted to thank you for contributing to the discussion today :)
Ngl ever since I bought this game what like 1-2 months ago I can't see myself ever replaying the previous games again in the near future, even after completing this game's main story. There's just something to this game that ticklea my brain just in the right way as dis new vegas and especially 4 way back when. New vegas in the sheer amount of weapons to offer and 4 with the new weapon modding system. Yep, never really been a story kinda guy myself, perhaps thats why I enjoyed 4 more than 3 and nv despite the screeches coming from the depths of reddit saying nv is the best in the modern series, and 76 is just 4 but more so I like it even better.
Ive been a fan of Fallout since the look down OG fallout & fallout 2. I hadnt played Fallout 76 until literally a couple of days ago because of the reviews but mate, i am hooked its so good and its definitely fulfilled everyones wish for Fallout to be multiplayer and be able to play with your mates.
I started playing 76 somewhere around late December or early January and I am nearly level 300 now. I've made a couple of really good friends and have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game outside of all of the bugs and crashes that you get on a last gen system. The game has a lot of problems and has a serious lack of end game content, but it hasn't necessarily stopped me from enjoying my time with it. There are many things that I would change or Implement to make the game overall better, but I am still enjoying my time with it and have so much content yet to do.

@@TheLaziestWriter what I particularly like about the game is the vast quantity of things to do and the fun that can be had while playing with other people. I love the actual gameplay, the guns, the grind for legendary gear Etc. Things that I would like to see changed are the seemingly arbitrary limits on resources like caps and legendary scrip. What I would really like to see implemented is challenging and meaningful end game content. Above all else though I would really like to see some of the long time bugs finally eliminated like being frozen in place when trying to get in power armor.
76 is amazing people don’t play it for the story etc people play it for the people the greatest community of any game , and the awesome building etc don’t be hard on the game many of us love ❤️
I got talked into giving it a go a while , by a mate who said I should, if only for the lore. Took me a lot longer than any of the other FO games to get my head around, but once I did, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Stopped playing after around 400 hours when I could only see daily grind ahead to max out legendary perks etc just over a year ago, but downloaded again this week. It's nowhere near as bad as it's rep would suggest.

@@TheLaziestWriter for me it's definitely the stories hidden in texts, and holotapes and locations that felt like they have their own history, for example: Vault-Tec university had their own test Vault where students got stuck when the bombs dropped. Vault 51 had their own super computer which made the dwellers turn on each other more and more. The riverside manor had the actress who played the Mistress of Mystery, who later made her own Order of Mysteries. There's a ton of stories but not everyone is willing to read or listen through them.
Oh man those sound like classic Fallout stores, and exploring those has always been one of my favourite parts of the series. There’s definitely a lot to love from this game, especially considering the number of comments that have highlighted its strengths, so I very much appreciate you bringing attention to the stuff that I missed! @@Alsifnrbdvehrj The easy difficulty of fallout 4 is why I refuse to play it on vanilla, sure the early game is tough but once you hit the level 25-30 range and have gained quite a few perks, settlements and gear the difficulty drops significantly and I very rarely find myself in bad situations, mods are the only reason I don't just breeze through the game.

Okay, now I an image of Preston chasing me through a Fallout 4 playthrough screaming at me to save a settlement. That's gonna haunt my nightmares for a while thanks. But saying a faction in 76 makes the Railroad sound useful is kinda cool blooded.
Fallout new vegas is amazing but fallout 76 is great the camp system is a bit janky and the gameplay is sometimes a bit annoying aka the power armor entertaining bug is hella annoying but it’s a great game love the environment and legendary system. Btw fantastic video 😊
In my opinion the game was much better when it was released as it is now. It had some of the limitations like storage space for scrap but it didn't really matter that much. I have more than 3000 hours spent in the game. I still play it.

Yeah I can definitely see that argument, but personally I still felt that that element was there even in a more populated world. imo it’s a good balance as it is right now
Catching up on Dead Island is my next big goal whenever I have the time to play something, can’t promise I’ll have anything interesting to say about them though 😅
I got the game back in late 2022 or early 2023. It already had the Wastelanders update but still felt very lonely compared to the other games. Tried to play or join other players a few times but I didn't like it and went solo ever since then. It was a bittersweet experience. I had a huge new map to explore but every time I felt like most of the missions were designed to be played by well, multiple players not by just one loner like me. This is what got me to stop playing the game and left without completing it. From time to time I think about going back and finish it but right now I decided to play Fallout 4 again and try all the DLCs that never got to play before.
That sounds a lot like my experience in a few key ways, and I can see why you’d look somewhere else for your fun after that. How are you finding the DLCs? Hopefully they’ve proven to be a good time :)

If you are not into collecting things, exploring, or building CAMPs, you will eventually lose interest, but likely after getting your money’s worth. It seems from this review that you were mostly concerned with the story, quests, dailies, etc. That is what I would typically focus on when playing a game, but that is just farming (which is always boring) and 76 is not at all typical.

This game is an awful fallout game and lore wise makes no sense and I wish it wasn’t canon. That being said, it can be fun if you just treat it as an online game like gta online and don’t think about everything that’s wrong with the game.

The dailys that you got mad at, do has stuff of value but it's rare chance 0.01% drop chance, the most sought after being tattered field jacket which you get from mire events and dailys can you get anything you want, But that's thru player trade. Also there is random encounters of people fighting being responders vs ghouls or raiders fighting responders vice versa among other encounters like pipe is life. Every review video I've seen so far is half assed and I haven't even fully described everything about dailies and random encounters.
@@TheLaziestWriter I've seen people make a lore video about what lore is incorrect or doesn't make sense in 76 and in the video guy admitted he didn't really research the lore of 76 but made video anyway, also seen a guy make a review but had a full list of things he couldn't be bothered getting footage of or make a review of such as expeditions, daily ops, season events ECT ECT.

I love fallout 76. Being able to play the game with friends is awesome. I love playing public events too. The perk card setup is awesome too. I have to say the story is really lacking though.

I also watched You Tubers playing it as well and for me personally it didn't get much better apart from the Wastelander addition as you said. Bethesda need a kick up the ass after this. I loved the review and I wanted to love the game too. But it didn't happen for me an also for many others. I have too many hours into this game. I couldn’t tell you I love it. Most of my time goes on this game. I don’t play other games. I like it because it’s a survival game. It helps me concentrate. Focus gives me something to do when I’m not working or doing stuff around the house or spending time with my familyI like every aspect of this game it’s gotten so good came out years ago🎉🎉🎉🎉

@@TheLaziestWriter I had to delete one of my lower level alts, so I could re-learn the game, without breaking anything worth keeping on the others...
I will say that my google searches have all been FO76 how to toggle run/walk, how to use vats, how to place a camp, recently.
Most dailies have a chance to drop rare rewards depending on what area they take place in.

Current fo76 is decently good, all things considered. Fo76 on release was quite lackluster..

I kinda liked it having no npcs, gave it the same lonely feeling as fallout 3.

Fallout 76 is a game that will never escape its horrible launch reputation no matter how good it is.
Nah...theres plenty of new videos out there with tons of positive stuff...the bad launch rep is a thing of the past

I've been gaming since the 1970s and I wouldn't even class this as a game. It's just a huge waste of everyone's time. A disaster of an effort which doesn't deserve the Fallout name. Loved this review though. Cheers.

@@TheLaziestWriter I subbed straight away after watching it. I did play the 'game' and abandoned it quite quickly. I also watched You Tubers playing it as well and for me personally it didn't get much better apart from the Wastelander addition as you said. Bethesda need a kick up the ass after this. Starfield doesn't appear to be much better. I prefer Outer limits myself. Thanks for the excellent content. I'll be watching your entire back catalogue for the next few days. Cheers.
If you play it with the right people it is worth playing and the people I am talking about is the people that are almost always positive
@@Sage0716 I think that is the key. It would be fun to play online as a group which was also mentioned. Maybe worth an hour or two with friends now and again I suppose. But not much more for me. I loved the review and I wanted to love the game too. But it didn't happen for me an also for many others. I'm not even hard on devs and games as I'm always amazed on how far things have came in these times. I'll shut up now and go play Fallout New Vegas again and some Nightdive remakes lol.

I have too many hours into this game. I couldn’t tell you I love it. Most of my time goes on this game. I don’t play other games. I like it because it’s a survival game. It helps me concentrate. Focus gives me something to do when I’m not working or doing stuff around the house or spending time with my familyI like every aspect of this game it’s gotten so good came out years ago🎉🎉🎉🎉
And ever since I got my ROG Ally it’s been awesome and my electric bill goes down because I’m not firing up my series X or TV anymore to play it and I can play it on the go
I’ll hear you out I played it day one and was so fucking disappointed but I’m revisiting the series as a fan who’s gotten pretty far in all of them but haven’t finished any aside from one and two (which are great if anyone hasn’t played them)
