my first car .. years ago... what I always loved about it was the safety feels, i used to drift with this car and not even realizing how dangerous it is, it was only 1.2 but it was awesome
@@takao4491 Very interesting.. How many gears did it have? It's also quite interesting how this one doesn't have multi function keys on the steering wheel..
@@Vaietzi It is the same 5 speed transmission that we had with the standard one, but without the Selespeed system. The same i think that was equiped with other powerful engines in the Fiat Group (Alfa, Lancia, ...) at this time We could have the numeric display we have also normally with the Navtec GPS but it is quite common to have a traditionnal Stilo radio in the manual version and some times not even the cluster display and a standard cluster kit too, black or white depending of our choices on the configurator
@@takao4491 I see. I was wondering which 5-speed cuz that was my first thought too. Btw I also have a Stilo from 2002 w/ the 1.24L engine paired w/ a 6-speed gearbox (which I love) but sometimes I wanna see a crane above the hood and make a swap happen to something stronger (even if it's an Alpha or Lancia engine). I know the gears would probably have to be switched out too to endure the greater torque, but ah well:) This car is just too pretty to get rid of. I also find it interesting what you said about the radio/GPS system in the Abarth versions..
@@Vaietzi Oh you have the 1.2 ! This engine sounds very well especially with some direct intake (which we can found homologated easily in Europe)! (the same engine the Punto mk2 sporting had) I think with some remap, 98 octane, direct air intake, you should be able to get around 100-105hp from it without any problem and get nicer performances
He's only shifting 150 rpm before peak power...not that big of a difference. Besides, since it's wet, it's good that he's careful, means he likes this car.
SELESPEED**** and no, Abarth Stilo was selled without the selespeed gearbox and standard radio on demand. The Schumacher and GT version only came in manual besides.
Amazing car amazing driving!!! X ❤

Haha this is my first car too ! I have the 1.9 jtd
Very good car 👌🏻
Godt kørt - specielt i det våde føre..
What wheels and what suspension do you have?

looks like stock ones, seems to react like mine
Some had the gp kit, set up by pro-drive .
which gearbox is that?
How come you have a manual gearbox in an Abarth?
It was in option, but quite rare
The last ones were sold with the manual transmission more often

oh shit
Why are you shifting at 6000RPM? Stilo Abarth's peak Horsepower is at 6150RPM...you are missing SO MUCH performance by shifting so early...

Auto-data says 6000rpm...
Yes right but it isn't abarth it's manuell shifting no abarth
@@staLkerhu Auto data 😂😂😂 Du lässt auto data sagen wann du schaltest omg
@@thomasreuter2769 excuse me sir?
Kein Abarth sonst könnte er am Lenkrad schalten und du musst den Motor mehr bei Drehzahl halten. Die Autos hauen dir nach der Kurve immer ab
No abarth, abarth have Tiptronic
