Hearing Tarantulas is getting a repack is honestly some of the best news here, since I've been STRUGGLING to find him and BW Inferno to complete my BW collection. Otherwise we got some cool, solid picks here for figures, excited to see Strongarm and Shadow Striker, as well as a bunch of Junkeon love! Still got my fingers crossed for a Windblade *eventually* hitting legacy
Can't wait to see how Strongarm's Legacy figure will look like. RiD2015 is definitely her best design, and her design is definitely the best in the show!
As unpopular as Energon is, I’d love to see the beachcomber mold get repainted into an Energon Cliffjumper, cause I think the name works for a dune buggy and given that Energon Cliffjumper was repainted into Beachcomber it could be fun to see the reverse
If they don't do a new figure design Strongarm could easily be another retool from Minerva/Elita-1. New head, remold the cab to be more square and SUV like, the back of the vehicle is already blocky.
Good news all around. Beachcomber: I'm cautiously optimistic. The Legends bumped up to Deluxes have been hit and miss. The Cliffjumper mold was great, but reissue after reissue wore me down. I noticed that too about Sureshot. He's the last Autobot and possibly the last G1 that hasn't had an update since Thrilling 30. I'm also holding out hope that Sureshot will be part of a future collab with Rocket League. RL Octane and Sureshot would make great moldmates. Hound/Deitritus/Strongarm: Looks like we will get a banging 4WD mold and see it repeated across these characters. If I were Hasbro and I wanted to get maximum use out of a mold, then next year would be the year of 4 wheel drive. Devcon: I'll personally root for a redeco of Scourge/Sweeps. At that Botcon, I imagined how Devcon would get such a mold. I spun a tale that Devcon was once a Sweep. But he gained some independence after Unicron was destroyed, hated being Galvatron's stooge and left. (Sad part was it took several years before anyone on the Decepticon side noticed. His innate tracking skills made him a natural skip tracer so he takes up bounty hunting. Insecticons: Not surprised. Bombshell and Shrapnel share the lower leg assembly. I hope they will be in scale with Inferno. Shadowstriker: Probably a remold of a car we already have. Like how Skids is a redeco of the sedan model.

Like, when you think about it HasTak is doing some more Unicron Trilogy figures and IIRC, one of the designers did say in a livestream "don't worry, we didn't forget about you guys who like Energon, Cybertron and Animated with Legacy", so maybe Strongarm could be the first Energon figure in Legacy? Then again, the evidence for Strongarm being the RID2015 version is also just as strong too. Like not only is she the most famous incarnation of Strongarm, but she'd also be the first RID2015 figure in Legacy too. I guess we'll just have to wait for whenever the first pics of the figure itself will get leaked or revealed. Either way I'm definitely getting it, since I like the designs of both Strongarms and I'd love to see how modern figures of them would look in Legacy.
My iGear Beachcomber has been a excellent fill in! It’s the same size as the main line, the blue is a little off but a great figure for me in my collection. They should’ve done Powerglide, but my os ko version again a great fill in. Nice update though.

They want more fembots. No character, no matter how obscure, is off the table. And, of course, gotta have as many repaints as possible so that the molds are worth it for Hasbro. In that case, I say get either Kingdom or Rise of the Beasts Airazor and make RID 2015 Filch! For Strongarm, get a couple new head sculpts and make Nightra and Upkeep! Depending on how she turns out, maybe Shadow Striker could be redone as a Generations style Shatter? Or stick to history and make a Roulette. ...and an updated Unicron Trilogy Thunderblast, please? Of course, there are some guys that have never had figures that could be done also. That Armada Starscream could probably make a convincing Pharma. And it may take some decent retooling, but that Crankcase could become Flatline. Hey, if they want to open the floodgates, lets open them wide! 😁
That's definitely that Takara influence hittin'...given how certain Masterpiece figures tend to have obscure references. (Ex.: Sunstreaker's anti-aircraft gun, Starsaber's shield, MP44 Optimus's trailer drone being detachable and can roll about independent of the trailer - something the MP10 & MP04 versions couldn't do, MP52 Starscream's smirking face that's clearly from The Movie, etc.)

@@antiseize11 I think you are confusing target masters with triggercons. I've done that before too so its ok. The target Masters are Quake (titans return) Needlenose coming up in 2023 , and Spinister (siege)

I just grabbed "blue cassette" and core shockwave yesterday, I swear, if they announce a SG core shockwave before the summer, I swear.... devcon is definetivelly gonna be a remold of scourge/alphatrion; at least the full torso and part of the limbs; the shelforming nature of scourge makes him pretty adaptable by just chanign the shell itself strongarm and shadowstriker I fear would be made mostly by same parts, most likelly the chest and upper parts of the limb. between teh rest you can create pretty deifferent veicles, but I fear they'll be pretty similar in baseline
I also think they can give us a Joyride from Beachcomber. I cannot for the life of me understand why Gears and the triple changer Sandstorm have had their existence stricken. Will we ever finish the G1 show at all? I know Overkill and Slugfest are long shots but it would be nice to have them fit in our current Soundwaves. The rest of the Trottlebots I think were a missed opportunity with the Cliffjumper mold... they could have outdone the seekers. I also hope the Omnibots get some love.

I like the Scourge mold for Scourge and Alpha Trion but not Devcon. I want him to have a more involved transformation that doesn't leave a big shell backpack on his robot mode, because he is not supposed to have one. Whatever they do, as long as he turns out looking mostly the way he should, I'll be happy.
Hope Strongarm isn't a one off for the RID cast. I'd gladly take a Steeljaw. Maybe a Megatronus, or a Soundwave. RID had some really interesting character designs.
Twincast was supposed to be in wave 4 of Legacy but the wave was cancelled, it was mostly made up of repacks from Kingdom and Breakdown was moved to Evolution but with the same box as Legacy, here's hoping we get Twincast maybe in Gen Selects
Now- While i know Strongarm is probably going to be the rid 2015 character [likely from Scraphook], I'm hoping for the UT version of the character Energon Strongarm could absolutely be made from that Ss86 brawn that's coming up, OR from beachcomber. Where as he has president with the brawn mold in animated, Beachcomber has the same transformation layout and would serve as a more accurate version of his character. Unfortunately, the energon version of the character is woefully underrated, with the rid15 character having firmly supplanted herself as the character with the name.

I loved RID 2.0! It was so much better than Earthrise, cyberverse and that rise of the titans. Heck I loved more than prime!

Why did they use bumblebee for the awestryker and not beachcomber. He fits that mold so well.
Brand recognition, Bumblebee is one of the main faces of Transformers. Beachcomber isn't so they went with BB.
