@@misfit_94 Is there video of Buddy Rich when he was 16 to make a comparison? Don't get me wrong; Buddy Rich was phenomenal and to think what JD will become in 10 years is crazy.
@@misfit_94 lol buddy rich? Friend, there's drummers today that shred harder than BR at a quarter of his age. Chris Coleman, Eric Moore and Larnell Lewis started playing at age 2. Before they could *speak* they could hold down a groove.
@@PlaceboPlease He's a 17 yo drummer now...JD: I started on piano at age five, in this little music school in Allen, Texas, which is twenty minutes from Dallas. I was doing classical and jazz for a few years and then switched to drums at age eight at the School of Rock. I was there until about age eleven. They put me in the advanced band at age nine, though you’re supposed to be fifteen. But by eleven, I got worn out on the whole School of Rock band thing, so I just began practicing by myself.
@@microtonalmilio5233 I didn't say it wasn't possible, I just mean that a lot of drummers have chops that are so non-linear that it would be hard for "machines"
man it's such a blessing to have good quality clips of drummers messing around, thank you
The Best young drummer never seen before.
its weird wanting to bite someones style lol specially a 'kid'
not even close, buddy rich is still the king... he started playing at age 5

thank you for this, a lot of videos never found before
Best video op TH-cam fr
Brillant Compilation. Ringo Star would love the setup.
Listen at .5x speed.
It's still dense, but you can hear the groove fragments a lot clearer.
It's over for all drummers everywhere.
Yeah
No doubt of Chris Dave influence, but JD uses those hip-hop, drumnbass beats as JAZZ.

You couldn't programme a drum Machine to keep up with this guy
I mean to be fair, you can't program a drum machine to keep up with a lot of drummers.
David it’s possible. Listen to the band Means End, or Animals as Leaders first album. It’s not 1 to 1 replication but it gets very, very close.

2:24 is the single hardest shit ive ever heard before
We need a battle. JD Beck vs Louis Cole.
Griff from ssx3 kills the drums!

Chon? That's dope
He played with Chon there? Couldn’t remember who that band was til you said it. That’s crazy. Both from Texas right?

Yeah I need to know that shit is cold. Reminds me of a spot I used to play as well

Good to know that once Louis Cole retires we'll have this guy to take his place

For the second one look up jd beck and domi live performance
Anyone know the name of the group he's playing with at 7:49?

If Domi leaned in hard to experimental singing it would be GAME OVER

He sounds like a rouge drum machine

Similar d&b feel to jojo mayer but jojo has the foot patterns our of this world
I feel like JD Peck is doing Mark Guiliana better than Mark Guiliana
bodhisattva
He’s what zack hill was supposed to be.
He seems to have two dominant hands.
Imajine what would hapen if you gave this guy a double kick
I like to hear him on like a real set,you know what I mean
those are drums
JD is a great drummer, but the suggestion that he is as good as Buddy Rich is absolutely ridiculous
the notion that buddy rich is the greatest drummer ever is so outdated, widen your view a little bit !
Needs to learn some musicality imho. Great chops but.....
