Dude this is amazing since I slay that lead a new asshole every once in a while. Didn’t Steve Stevens create the keys etc hmmmm. Spot on my man thats fo sho goooood job well done well done 🙌👏
I'm a big synth guy, and also grew up loving coil and the film the return of the living dead, both the soundtrack and coil's version of yai yes love in 84 used the tubular bells preset. When I bought my first DX7, that was ironically the first loaded patch I played. (This was in the mid 90s) It's a fond memory.
So that is how the airplane sounds. Ha! Unbelievable! I've been looking for that sound for over 9 month already! But I already found the same cartridge you have on EBay and bought it. Now I need to buy the keyboard so it’s going to be a matter of only 5-6 months, until I get the money. I swear to God! I will play that sound every time I get home from work and also on Sundays in the morning too, and then I will say “Top Gun!” really loud, right on my Karaoke mike. But been honest, I thought the plane sounds more like a 1955 Vespa ® scooter kind of sound. You know prutututututututututututututututut, kind of timbre. Thanks for the demonstration and God bless you. And the virgin too..., you know Virgin Mary I say.
When I heard that sound in both movies I get the chills
That's the same sound as the taco bell LOL
UNDERTAKER. Taco bell is a higher pitch
@@fuckcensorship69 yeah but it's the same origin of the sound
Not really
Top gun won't give you the shits
Nice! I do love that iconic bell sound! 🛩
Taco-Bell
I heard the intro to “do they know it’s Christmas”
Midge Ure used it for that.
Me too!
Hit either your 2nd or 3rd E and you get Taco Bell 😀
Exact sound as Enya's THE CELTS. WOW.😊
That's the synth from Monsters vs Aliens right?
It is! But the sound the DX7 makes in that movie is all wrong. The DX7 is an FM synth, not analog.
Excuse me, I have to go to taco bell.
Do you have to GO to Taco Bell??? Or, does Taco Bell have to leave YOU, as it then becomes Taco Smell?
I’m fixin to put my Christmas tree up! lol
Amazing how these sounds manage to bring a thousand images in our head.
I read somewhere that they didn't think it had enough bass so they recorded a slightly higher note to tape and then slowed it down.
Kinda sounds like Undertaker as well
That cartridge is the default internal bank
THAT GAVE ME FUCKING CHILLS
Live tô Tell?
Probably the most known sound from the DX7. :)
Was thinking more band aid but top gun also works.
Rush used it on Marathon. Did The Smiths use it on Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before?

Magnifico.💣💣💣💣💣💣
That’s the beginning of Enya’s The Celts
Wow! Crazy it’s the same preset!! And the same year the D50 came out and she made famous that something-a gogo preset. Lol
@@dstrats That entire album is DX-7 and D-50 presets
Very hip. 😎
That sounds like Beat Street The King Of The Beat !
Sure but why am I wanting Taco Bell right now
The DX-7 was nearly always used as the presets as it was too hard for most folks to program
Fun fact: it’s also the “Taco Bell sound”
It is the timbre but not the same. Taco hell is higher
Top Gun?! That's Taco Bell
This reminds me of PS 1/2 memory cards lol
I have those Mackie monitors!
Top gun and feed the world song also ❤
Can you play live to Tell?
Storms in Africa
Undertaker?
🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

Water 64
Sounds like beat it
Ffs. Now i want a damn taco.

I didn't think top gun lol. I instantly went....at Christmas time....there's no need to be afraid haha.
Dang. I think I’ll set my DX7 upright on a stand and just admire it from across the room again☺️
Yeat
Is that a Korg wavestation I see flash by the screen at the end behind the DX7?
so yea thats terminator not top gun, but yea i could also see it being top gun
That is THE patch! Nice! Although, have we determined whether it was played on a single DX7 or a stacked rack (TX802)?
It was a TX816 (I think he actually had 2 of them).
The underthaker
Big Blue
Ohhhhh😮
Wow
Yoooooooooooo
Taco Bell if you play it lower 😅😅😅
