Good Day...is there a number to call to speak with someone about the technical aspects of the GCC Expert 24 Vinyl cutter? I purchased the cutter and need some technical advice? New to vinyl cutting and understand learning curve and do use the manual from GCC. For example, the
Letters cut great but I want the vinyl to stay on the sheet with the letters cut but not pulled off the sheet. I want to pull and weed the excess vinyl off the sheet and then apply the sheet onto shirt to heat press. Does that make sense? I want instructions for that process. That's only one many small clarifiers to help a new owner:).
Another question is there a difference between output versus print. The output seems to work great for cutting out the pieces. I wasn't sure if the print cuts.

I have Great Cut 5 sometimes I put design into the box and nothing shows up to cut. Not sure what is wrong Using EPS it will not take the svg at all. Any ideas. Newbie
GreatCut doesn't accept SVG's, so you'll have to convert to a different format. EPS, PDF, and AI are the most common.

i can not uncheck the "plot to file" box in the output screen. called tech support and they said to reinstall the software. did that and nothing. im using great cut 4 with a gcc expert lx 24. any advice? please help
i have few questions if you don't mind
1. how to get work/cut area on screen and in the cutter to start at left upper corner?
2. the GCC EXIi24LX is running properly in win10 but when i click the button "OUTPUT" nothing happens?

2) Your cutter might not be properly connected. Also, you might not have a vector graphic selected to send to cut.
I was having this same issue (number 2). try importing a PDF file.
Seriously I am new to using cutters etc. I have had a GCC Expert 2 for TWO years. is there a NICE person who wouldn't mind calling/helping me how to use it to make a cut. I have great cut 4. It's only for cutting heat transfers. Please let me know.

Hello which I had bought my machine from you guys. But am here in Jamaica was thinking with shipping cost would cost the same. But let get in the real story. MY machine is GCC-EXPERT-II-24-VINYL-CUTTER-PLOTTER THE SOFTWARE I GOT IS GREAT CUT 4 LOOKS TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THIS GREAT CUT I SEE YOU USING I CANT FIND NO TUTORIAL THAT SHOWS HOW TO USE IT EFFECTIVELY I HONESTLY NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SOFTWARE SILHOUETTE STUDIO IS THE GREATEST I MET SO FAR . CAN I GET ANYHELP ON USING THIS SOFTWARE ALSO I THINK THE GCC-EXPERT-II-24-VINYL-CUTTER-PLOTTER HAD CONTOUR CUTTING FEATURES. STILL CANT PUT AWAY MY CAMEO CUTTER.

Please make a video on the size of the Vinyl not the cutter. I make my images and text smaller than the vinyl but it is always read the wrong way around. My cutter doesn't seem to cut in the area it shows on the screen. I don't understand this machine at all. I have the Great Cut 4 but there are no tutorials on it. Please update instructions.

What is the best way to go about it if I have something to cut that is bigger than my vinyl? I would want to cut it in 2 separate pieces but also control where the break would be. Also I would like a small bit of overlap. I just cant figure out how this would be done with Great Cut.
At 1:10, we briefly cover segmenting large jobs. If you let GreatCut segment your job, there won't be an overlap. It'll split your job up to use the least amount of vinyl on your roll. If you want to segment your job at a particular point, or add some overlap, that'll have to be done in a separate design program.
@@HeatPressNation Thanks! Im really trying to like GreatCut but I feel like this is more of a downgrade from the software that came with my Silhouette Cameo 2. I upgraded to a GCC Expert II LX and didnt realize it didnt come with its own cutting software but have to use or purchase separate programs for it. Is there another program you might be able to recommend that I could use for cutting? I design in Illustrator and do not need another design program, just something I can use to layout my cuts.
when installing greatcuts 4 software, it added a bunch of icons to my desktop. need help figuring out why.
At different points throughout the installation process, there are options to add a desktop shortcut. If you don't uncheck these options, the shortcuts will be created. You can delete shortcuts from your desktop without affecting the program.

Why do I have to select contour before I go to output to cut?
I have problems with the cutting of my plotter expert 24 does not cut well cut the letter all uneven that I can do
It's important that your vinyl is loaded correctly. Make sure that it's straight using the guide at the front of the cutter. Also, the pinch wheels have to be clamped down over the gritty part of the bottom roller.

Honestly I purchased mycutter with heat press Nation because I was told they would walk you through. I purchased it in the guy had no desire to walk me through I've had it for 2 years it's still haven't made a cut. They also got it on an extra cutting software onto my bill that was $100 and I specifically said I did not want

I was wondering...You have a GCC Cutter called the Expert 2 (24"). Question 1: Would there be any difference in a this product vs one from last year mechanics wise or is the same machine? (just curious) Question 2: It would be used for cutting neenah 3g Opaque paper. I assume I would be able to cut Heat transfer paper with the Expert 2 is this correct?
Is there a way to cut around the same image twice?
Yes. In your cut settings, increase the Step Count to 2. Every Step is a complete pass of the cut job. So 1 Step means it will cut your job once. 2 steps means it will cut your job twice, and so on.

Is there a way to do a double cut setting?
Yes, that is the "passes" setting on the cut options. The number of passes is the number of times it will cut your file.

how can I use these program on a Mac
You will need to run a program like Bootcamp or Parallels - something that will allow you to run Windows OS on your Mac. There are pros & cons to doing this, so please proceed at your own risk and do your research on these programs before purchasing a GCC cutter to run on your Mac computer.
