I will admit the rhino getting slapped around like a pinball as he said "I hate my job" was pretty funny. But that was about it.
Am I the only person who though Twitchy was a descendant of Scrat from the Ice Age movies as a kid?
I honestly thought he was a rejected/knock-off Chipmunk.
I thought he was similar to Hammy from over the hedge, because they’re both hyperactive squirrels, they talk quickly and go nuts when they drink coffee.

The orginal hoodwinked is looking pretty good right about now.

Nathaniel Foga Yeah, really the only thing the sequel has over the original is slightly better animation quality. Other than that, the original is better by miles.

ejl423 It feels like the Sequel was meant to include Bubsy as an extra main character to help the heroes, but considering how Bubsy 3D ruined his reputation, it never happened. At least that’s how I see it.

Too bad he's a non speaking side character in the sequel despite he's my favorite character from the first

If I remember correctly Jim Belushi was the voice of The Woodsman in the original film and in the sequel they replace Jim Belushi with Martin Short and I wonder if there' ever be a Hoodwinked 3?

I just found this channel the other day, and so far, I've been loving the content. I feel like I've stumbled upon a gold mine.
MH must've overlooked how the giant was half the size a building but when he chases them he's about TWICE as high as Red!!!😐😑

I liked the first one's comedy, I liked the second one's animation.
There are some good concepts in this but it just didn't click. I liked the idea that there is a hidden temple of super fighting grannies but there are just too many MISSES here compared to the hits. Interesting thing about the animation though is part of the reason why it had to be retained *IS* because of the first.
The first had such an iconic look to it despite being done so poorly so even with an increased budget, the designers and animators had this chore of staying true to the original design while at the same time allowing for the animation ITSELF to be updated. So we have a mixture of better animation but REALLY stilted character designs, all because they couldn't wildly change the looks of the characters or else they ran the risk of making a completely different film. Though it makes me curious to how the film would have looked if they decided to throw all the caution to the wind and update the designs of the characters to match the level of animation they had. They could get away with much more this time around so it would have been interesting to see everyone with updated designs and looks, especially in the case of Red and the wolf.
And it's a case where you can SEE the difference. Compare Red and Granny to the other grannies at the temple. The granny with a fro looks more, well, smoothly designed than our Granny and Red and has better facial expression, a sign she came from the latter team when the budget had been increased. Any character who was made after the first that isn't specifically tied to the characters (like Hansel and Gretel) do come off looking like more thought was put into them since they weren't made with the budget and skill limitations holding them back. At the time of typing this, I'm actually looking at a still of 7:57 and Red looks so low-grade compared to the other Granny next to her, and that was because they HAD to stick with a lot of her original design just to keep her look consistent and 'iconic'.
Edit: Of all the random references this movie made, you want to know the one that took me off guards? The HR Puffnstuff reference. DIDN'T THINK THEY'D PULL THAT.
Admittedly, I kinda like this movie.
Sure, it's a mess, filled with confusing pop culture references, and overall it's a bad film in general.
However, it's one of those bad movies that I could make a quick riff on and watch ironically.
Plus, I have a bit of nostalgia towards it, when I saw it back in junior high.

I was a bit surprised that the sequel didn't get ya into rage like Norm of the North does at least until it's 2 sequels comes which I know will be very funny for you in the future, lol. I watched this movie on Netflix, and I actually thought it was ok. Too bad it wasn't a big hit at the box office.
So
I personally found it better than Ice Age: Collision Course.
Even I thought collision course was better than this movie... And it's a guilty pleasure of mine

To be honest as unnecessary as this movie is,i can see this whole concept work as a tv series instead of a sequel,a secret agent spin off to the first one,there was potential here.

I was a huge fan of the original when I was younger. I never minded the animation and the humor and characters were great.
This movie on the other hand? Never saw it, but based on what I've seen of it, that's a good desicion.

Cool girl 123 it was animated by arc productions, the same studio that is animating Thomas and friends staring in 2013 despite the animation studio having a different name now.
1:40- I know this is pretty old, but that film was being directed by Mel Brooks and actually sounded amazing. It was meant to be the animated equivalent to Blazing Saddles. Admit it, it sounds so much better now, doesn't it? (Shame it was canned)

Growing up, this was the first movie I ever saw that I was actually able to understand, during my first viewing, that it was complete trash. So I guess it's important to me in that sense.
I didn't even know that this came out originally. It's either bad marketing in Ireland, or I avoided it somehow.
For a movie that talks about "focus" this doesn't have one at all in terms of plot.
