Makati is the Financial District of the Philippines while Cebu has it all!
The difference is Cebu have the ocean view, mountain resorts and the skyscrapers. Best of both worlds.

This is unfair comparison. Makati is a very small city, measuring only 21 sq. kms. Cebu is 15 times bigger, having an area of 315 sq. kms. Makati is also a landlocked city, while Cebu is accessible through the sea.

Star gazing at night shifted my focus on the plenty of lights on the mountains..it's like Christmas lights on the mountains or its like a galaxy of stars on the mountains.

Here we are again! A stupid comparison of a city who has been favored by being located near the "precious" capital vs a city who strived on their own despite of lack of economic support by the central government to the provinces.

Makati City is lucky Ayala Land occupies a huge property within its jurisdiction kaya aakalain mong ang LGU ang mismong nagpaganda ng lungsod. Outside of Makati CBD which is managed by Ayala Land, Makati is no different from any other Philippine city. Even BGC in Taguig is owned by Ayala Land but since these properties are so huge and the atmosphere is very sophisticated and cosmopolitan, people mistake them to be “separate” cities when in fact they are just “business enclaves” from their respective cities bec they don’t have city charters nor elected city officials to begin with. Meanwhile, Ayala’s properties in Metro Cebu are not as vast as the ones in Metro Manila so it doesn’t feel like “a city within a city” kind of thing. They are considered districts or business parks namely Cebu Business Park and Cebu IT Park.
@Love Yes, SRP is bigger than BGC but the 300-hectare SRP has been subdivided into numerous lots sold to SM, Ayala, Robinsons, Filinvest, etc for development unlike BGC na ang buong 240-hectare property is developed by Ayala Land. Gets mo ang difference?

For now it's Makati 15 to 20 max it's Cebu. It's a fast growing city while makati already reach it's peak and it's a small landlock city no more room to grow.

You can't compare Cebu to Makati; it's just unfair. This vlog is not worth watching guys!
The skyscrapers of MAKATI definitely way more modern and taller than of Cebu. imagine the tallest building in Cebu which is horizon 101 stands only 178m. while in Makati the U/C Park Central north tower and The Estate which stands 276 m and 277m. and MAKATI Has 75 total skyscrapers standing 150above while cebu just 3 the horizons towers and the cebu exchange. hope more tall buildings to build in cebu to looks singapore, hongkong or busan if CEBU has vision to be more progressive fixed first the slums in the bodies of water, poverty, cleanliness infrastructures and transportations. then build more skyscrapers standing 300-400 meters high just like BUSAN if you can see it is same with Cebu has islands, sea, beach, and mountains.
But Philippines doesn't have a supertall, better to count highrises not the skyscrapers. When people compare between Singapore and Hong Kong or Hong Kong and New York, they talk about highrises not the skyscrapers.
