    Woo, more baddies! Turns out creating life in the depths of the Abyss is hard on the paint job. The Demodands seem really loyal for Abyssal creatures, but maybe that's because they were created explicitly to be servants. Apparently the mixture of that programmed servile nature and the innate chaotic evil of the Abyss = a creature that adores taking orders so long as those orders are "go there and be violent, perverse, and messy."
    The limit on Demodand power that keeps them from becoming demigods is a neat feature. The section where you instead describe notable Demodands reminded me of bounty side quests or optional mini-bosses from a video game.
    Thanks as always for the video. I think the series promises to be an interesting exploration into why outsiders would choose to live on the Prime Material plane.

    Heh, i remember, when i first met a Demodand in the Pathfinder:Wrath of the Righteous game. There were only two way to do any damage to it: with a Nat 20, and with my Blood Kineticist's special attack [half damage, if it made a succesful Constitution saving throw, then only a quarter]. I had to use a ton of summoning spell (one for every round), as it killed each and every summoned creature within one round, just to keep it away from my characters, as even my tank would die within 2 rounds... If i remember correctly, it was a Stringy Demodand, which attacked every creature, who was close enough to it, their numbers doesn't mattered, so i couldn't overswarm it, only the "endurance battle" worked against it, and still was able to knock out 2 members of my party.

Since at the moment all other parts of Garund have already been described, if I not forgot, and Rahadoum does not have enough content to highlight it in a separate video. "For no reason these titans rebelled against the gods, trust us" Listen, even if the demodands and their creators are horrifyingly evil, the gods sure are leaving a lot of holes on who did what to who. It would be a very good angle if one story shows how the early gods were flawed, cruel and clumsy and the titans felt justified in their revolt. It wouldn't redeem them, but it would be a nice twist that the titans corruptions and their horrible creations were a result of trauma that the gods caused.

    • @TheMythKeeper
      @TheMythKeeper  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Sounds like something you'd want to work out with your GM, but I'd say yes at my gametable. I'd probably have the player realize halfway through that their power is actually coming from one of the Titans though, just for the fun twist.

    This setting can't possibly support the number of demon lords seemingly constantly invading every inch of it at all times. Limiting Pathfinder to one semi medieval world makes the whole thing feel so awkward.

    • @TheMythKeeper
      @TheMythKeeper  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you think about the thing as a whole, it breaks the suspension of disbelief for sure. That goes for the volume of demons, the number of types of magic, the number of very different countries, the various technology levels and so on... but if you take it all piecemeal and each campaign just deals with a part of the mythology then its all fairly digestable and the pieces individually all work.
