I feel the need to deep dive this. Firstly most items can break a 50/50 in your favor Beer can be used to remove a round from play if its a blank you win if its a live then you just go to the next round hopefully getting more items to help you on the next one. Handcuffs auto win 50/50s because you can shoot both bullets which guarantees a single shot onto the dealer and none onto you cause your firing both of them. 2 Saws can be burned to guarantee a 2 damage shot 1 if your lucky and its the first shot. Magnifying Glass also auto win 50/50s as it tells you the round in the chamber if its a blank fire at yourself then the dealer if its a live well point and shoot pair with a saw and you are guaranteed a 2 damage shot. Cigarettes give you another charge which can let you tank the 50/50 if it goes poorly. (Just remember if the defibs are cut off cigs wont do anything for your health at which case you should always use them as its a free action and it cleans up inventory for more helpful items to arrive as buckshot roulette doesn't give you the option to replace items with other items meaning items grabbed go to waste if you cant store them.) Saws should really only be used in a 50/50 if it makes the shot powerful enough to finish the dealer and your on your last hit point. If you have no items then it depends on the situation. If the dealer also has no items the decision then is basically you calling heads and tails and hoping that coin flip goes that direction. If the dealer has items the questions that need answering are, are you on your last hit point?, and does he have a saw?. If you answer No to your health and yes to the saw fire at yourself first then the dealer that way if you fail you only take 1 damage not 2 otherwise call the coin how you feel and hope for the best. And I know some are gonna go in and ask Nattie what about the items added in the Steam update I know about them while they dont apply to story mode its still useful to talk about. The Adrenaline which steals items should only be used in a 50/50 if its to steal one of the many items that can break you out of a 50/50 or to make the losses of one less dangerous like stealing the dealers saw/healing items so they cant use it on you and bolstering a success if you are right in a 50/50. The Burner phone will just tell you if the 2nd round is a live or a blank basically winning the 50/50 via reverse magnifying glass given by process of elimination. If the 2nd round is a blank then the first is the live and if the 2nd is the live then the first is a blank. In the former fire at the dealer, in the ladder fire at yourself and then the dealer. The Inverter is a strange one it either guarantees a shot at the expense of letting the dealer get a freebie on you or completely diffuses that games round so long as the dealer doesnt have one himself paired with the right tools it can declaw that round or allow you to double shot the dealer for a lot of damage. So its use is dependent on the situation. The Expired medicine should really only be used as a last resort and only if the game is going REALLY poorly like your on your last Hit point but the dealer is sitting pretty (As pretty as a demonic smiling head with pointy teeth can be...) at max hitpoints taking it can let you tank the 50/50 if it goes poorly and put the game back into a fighting position.
If we omit the formalities, dealer is polite and honest person, who never cheats in what he plays, and he plays by the rules he set up.@@lordcrusader861
I love how this theme not only plays when you're at 2 charges left, but ALSO when the dealer has only 2 charges left. Really fits in with the equal treatment of the dealer to you. Edit: WTH 1K LIKES?!
Hearing “Are you ready?” has a dual meaning. If you die, the dealer seems disappointed you came back from the bad ending. And you better not lose this time.
I think there's more than just coming back from the bad ending to say "hi" again. I feel it's more like a question than just a retort. "Are you ready?" The dealer asked, lowering the shotgun to the table. He could stare as long as he'd like into your soul, yet while he stood there, you could tell he saw potentially thousands die. Even God died - it was fair. And that wasn't fair. Was he upset? Was he afraid? Or was he really hardened against the bloodshed of his game? You can't tell, because his expression remained mostly unchanging, except for the few times he was shot. The question "Are you ready?" appears for both you *and* for the Dealer, when either of your lifelines are cut. Suggesting that either he's accepting his impending fate, and finally die for once, or that you're about to go down one last time, and see what God's death has resulted in, up in Heaven.
I like how "Are you ready?" Means 2 very different things depending on who's lost their charge. If it's you, obviously the intent is "Are you ready to potentially die?". If it's the dealer, i think it moreso means "Are you ready to become a killer?". And I find that fascinating
The life support was cut off. There are no more deflibirators. No more blood transfusions. Your face, bruised and bloodied, has gone numb for a long time now. Your ears, ringing uncontrollably, are still shook from all those gunshots. The memories of your life fill your thoughts. What made you want to come here? What made you think you could do this? The Dealer inserts the shells in an unknown order. "ARE YOU READY?"
The sensation is overwhelming, it's liberating and terrifying at the same time. It's intoxicating... one more time please, double or nothing, it's the last time... I swear...
“Hey now, you’re very close!” “Just remember our deal, this was your decision, if you loose, i can’t help you.” “Careful now, 5 live rounds, 1 blank.” “You know the drill…”
the stress and buildup of the final showdown, oddly enough, dissipates as the victor becomes clear in these final moments. You know what will happen, whether it ends with your death, or the dealers, all you can do now is reflect and let what's meant to happen, happen.

I remember this song started when I lost all my tools and got handcuffed, thought it was over, but, somehow some way I got away with the cash and a shotgun
When you look into the cold, black eyes and pump the shotgun, racking the live round into place as you point it at the dealer, his hands cuffed, you feel a sense of.. sadness. You have done what god couldn't. Your face, blackend from brusies, stained with blood from previous deaths, has a stone cold face before a loud bang. The dealer is dead. And you, are alone with your thoughts.
Whenever I see games like this I realise that the player walks into this with no experience and walks out (if they do) scarred for life knowing that any wrong slip or hiccup could of costed them everything
I'd like to think that the dealer is an evil spirit trapped in a pile of meat, kept alive only to send people to an awful afterlife in the form of a life or death type of game, and the red eyes which stare the player down when he finally shoots down the dealer in round three symbolize how its the dealer's evil spirit being freed from the pile of meat.
The Dealer knows that he is destined to die because since God lost to him, every player has no afterlife to go if they die, so they just wake up in the bathroom before signing the waiver. In other words, the Dealer knows that the player can't lose. Every time he sees a player lose, he sees them coming back from the bathroom until they win. God's death was so bad that players go back to the bathroom when they have the chance to enter heaven instead.
You and The Dealer are on your last life points, you think about your past and your possible future but mostly you think what did bring you to the game of Buckshot Roulette, you remember seeing an Liability Release signed by GOD himself bloody as he lost his life, the Dealer inserts the shells in an unknown order, you know the drill by now and yet you have to ask yourself: Are You Ready for the Last dance?

I'd assume an evil spirit would much rather not be "freed" and would love nothing more but to stay and continue to do what they do.
The Dealer knows that he is destined to die because since God lost to him, every player has no afterlife to go if they die, so they just wake up in the bathroom before signing the waiver.
