    “Pulled myself out of the fetal position” then slowly brings into frame the box stuffed full of receipts 🤣 😃
    You are truly hilarious.

    Would make a great birthday book. List Days of the month instead of ledger, with birthdays/anniversaries, etc. noted, buy your cards ahead and put your cards in the envelopes. (6.5 x 9.5 would allow you to put in bigger cards if needed). They would be ready and waiting in the appropriate months. I have seen variations, but really like this one! Thanks!

    It is Soooooooo nice to know a genius :) I love this. I don't have to do my own taxes for a business, but I still love this book. It would be great to use as a birthday card book so you're always prepared for birthdays...as opposed to remembering them three days late.

    Great idea! You crack me up! That is how my husband used to handle receipts. His bookkeeper came to our door a couple months after we were married with this huge box and said to him, "You are married, she can do it and I don't want to anymore" and handed us the box of jumbled receipts. Then I got to learn how!

    Genius Nik!! I actually thought the box was very since a lot of times people bring them in grocery store bags!!😅😅😂😹🤣 I was the personal assistant to several attorneys in a law firm so I've sorted these messes twice as large for a few weeks!! Nightmare!! Your plan is much better than what the accountant had me do. I shared this video with the new personal assistants who works with the attorneys. 💙💚💛💜

    Sewing the edges adds that special touch. (edit) Oh wow... you've got a stamp from Germany, old, old, old one. I wonder if a collector would get a stroke watching this. 😅

    • @katpaints
      @katpaints 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have a lot of those stamps. It has taken me a while to actually search out the value of some of mine. I know that some of my unused stamps are worth a few dollars each, but most, especially used stamps that were the normal stamps of the day, have little value. Oh, the hours that I spect soaking and finding a spot for stamps growing up, though!!! It was so much fun! I have actually used some of my collection. It took a while to decide to do it.

    • @susanmessatzzia2223
      @susanmessatzzia2223 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Marilyn -I don’t think it matters right handed or left. All of the empty envelopes would be under where you write while the filled/ lumpy envelopes would be flipped to the left. Just thought the suggest might help someone. Just saying. 😉

    • @marilyn1228
      @marilyn1228 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@susanmessatzzia2223 Presumably, you would be writing all this down as it happens, so there would not be "stuff" in the envelopes until that month happens. JMHO, no offense meant as I am right handed.

    • @kellylovescoffee9419
      @kellylovescoffee9419 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly what I was thinking! 🤓And the filled up/bulky envelopes wouldn't interfere with writing as you work through each month of the year.😉 Such a fun project!

      Just genius. Pure genius. Who would think of this other than Nik. You could go buy a consatina file thingy but they’re awful. This is lovely and given that you only use it on a mo that basis it can be used again and again. Your tax man/accountant will love it. I love it. Doesn’t matter where the ledger paper goes, love your work. Congrats to you is all that is needed . Thanks for sharing with us all. Nice things to Nik hey xxxxx Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

    I was married to a tax preparer for over 20 years and you're stash of receipts is tidy by comparison to some I saw. At least you KEPT the receipts - trying to figure what a person spent over the year from their memory is always an adventure into fantasy. The preparer gets pilloried for low-balling the estimate and gets the blame when IRS comes calling.

  • @ellabella2603

    As long as it is all in one place? It is a good organization system for taxes. What is bad is when you have tax documents in several different places and you can't quite remember where you put that one big receipt that you really need.....

  • @chrissievandyke171
    @chrissievandyke171 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You made receipt holder a couple of years ago. I learned it from you. I made them with large envelopes and one for each month and used a cereal box for the cover. I made it for my friend for her business and she is very organized now. Her accountant loves her more since it is easy for her to find all of her tax info. I added a paper clip to each envelope to keep the receipts in each monthly section. I am shocked that you let your receipts sit in a box like that all year! I hope it is only for effect, because I thought you learned a lesson in organization a while ago! Ok, now I will watch the rest of the video! 😳😂😇😜🙏🏽
