Inspirational, empowering: A Star has been born in Ken/Felip Suson
I had never expressed any form of adulation in the past for any boy band or musical artist/s from a boy band whether singly or as a group, locally or internationally, until SB19, particularly, Ken x Felip Suson came along.
There must be something special in Ken's voice derivative or reflective of his person that I can relate to, especially his previous struggles in life, foremost of which were sleeping at his aunt's house while training for SB19, being interrupted or troubled by raindrops while sleeping at night when there's a downpour & celebrating his birthdays in the past or before SB19 only with pancit canton & never with a cake - of course, apart from his good or charismatic looks, innate machismo & appeal. Add to that his unorthodox or call them genuine, authentic ways personally & professionally, further accentuated by his natural oomph, rhythm & swag involving all of his body parts when he dances, as if he is gliding lightly on air or aided by the wind akin to a " Poetry In Motion".
Not to forget the fact that he is kind & thankful to his parents despite not being personally raised by both & did not harbor any ill- feelings towards them because he understood their situation, & grateful to his lolo & lola who did the part & nurtured him instead. Moreover, he stays humble, kind & attached to his roots, his place of origin, his former friends devoid of ego & pride despite his newfound success via SB19 & his being Felip as a solo artist, kinder even to his fandom, the Sisiws & ATIN alike.
All because of his belief in the Lord, his talent & himself, his family & loved ones, his friends & supporters & those people instrumental for his discovery & growth as a person & an artist, coupled with his passion, determination, & resilience. All told, a Star has been born in Ken x Felip Suson.
He is actually very shy. He can't even order food for himself, shy to talk since he is not fluent in Tagalog, he has a different dialect called Bisaya, he used it on his solo songs. His members always nervous if he starts talking on interviews coz he speaks his mind, no filter...
I became a fan of sb19 because of Ken I love his personality and his so humble, talented I love all his songs his so versatile
KEN IS GOD FEARING TOO
For me Ken is the most charismatic. He has this aura that magnetize people. I found him very kind and courteous and his laugh is so genuine which makes him more lovable.
Ken became my bias after Josh when I first watched his solo, Bulan. His talent isn't about him, but it's about the collective. It opened my eyes to go deeper into my roots, break boundaries and shatter the norm. I may sound vague, but it's really hard to explain. I also find it interesting that he gets awkward when fans see him as an idol or a visual. It's not bad to find him beautiful, because he is. But yeah my admiration for artists like him goes beyond visuals and hype. His music spoke to me and I find his contribution to the Ppop movement is valuable.
Ken / Felip is Good looking,Smart, Full of SWAG, Fashionista, Man of Faith. Hes a Total Package. We love you Ken❤. Mahalima ❤❤❤
Ken is often misunderstood. His awkwardness, shy persona hides multi talent making him more mysterious. But he is kind hearted, humble and hardworking.
Cashualchuck forgot to include that he's the most softhearted person though all of them are but hes like a baby..😇😇😇 underneath those badass clothes and swag.. He truly an icon all of them. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
To add up, his parents overseas didn't talk to him nor contacted him for about 2 years because of his choice I think. That's why on one of his live birthday celebrations, he teared up when he finally received a birthday greeting from his mom and even said "finally, they remembered". He also cried when he heard his father's birthday message to him. I totally understand his parents though. Coz they sacrificed a lot to go abroad so they can send him to school. He was about to finish his 3rd year in architecture and risking that, giving it up to chase an uncertain dream is really something that will concern your parents. Not everyone will have the courage to do that. I am so glad that he's so successful now that he was able to convince his parents to come home in the Philippines and stay for good. Now he's happier that he is with his family.❤
indeed, but I believe Ken will never be 100% happy, Bec of the loss of his grandparents who stand as his parents, his dream to give back on all their sacrifices for him when he is able to give back will never come into reality, that's the reason why I think will have a little empty space in his heart, the longing and the fallen dream to give good life for them will never happen. and thats make me so sad for him.
Many Filipino Kpop fans became sb19 fans be coz of Felip/Ken.
Ken's experiences if not sad plight in life before hittiing it big with SB19 make for essential, relevant ingredients akin to success stories. In one of his interviews, he narrated a sad excerpt of his life without blaming anyone - devoid of histrionics, or fanfare, resonating to our hearts, before reverberating to our minds, finally calming our very souls, inspiring all if not most of us in the process. Bravo & kudos, Ken. You deserve all the blessings you are reaping right now. Continue to be great & remain humble while inspiring those who are struggling & being challenged in their lives currently. Please know that we are rooting for you to inspire others to pursue their dreams as well, come hell or high waters by utilizing all the Green Flags available therein as a person & in life . Ken was my first bias. He hooked me with the voice and his obvi visuals. ❤ honestly I love them all ...OT5!
You’ll start wondering why people close to the boys love him - their staffs love him thus tagged as spoiled. If people around you love you it only means that you are a good person. Even the SB19 mommies adore him. You can never fake kindness.
He is very shy...he is even shy/afraid of ordering food in a fastfood before ang just choose to not eat if he is late in a gathering in resto/fastfood if he needs to order for himself.

I became an A'tin because of Ken/Felip. A "Sisiw" first then I gradually learned to love them all 5 but Ken is still my fave. His being mysterious & low key with his group endeared him to me. I can relate to his personality & experiences as someone from the countryside/province who risked it all to go & work in a very highly urbanized city. I am so proud of his great values, bravery, choices in life & achivements. I will always stan this wonderful human being! His solo songs reflects his being a risk taker & adventurous & I love that about him.

It was Ken whom i get interested to until i get to like SB19 because i perceived him as same as me: reserved, shy, low-key, introverted, and often mistaken as snob and arrogant. Since then, he has been my fave person for character studies. He is my fave puzzle, because the harder the puzzle the more challenging yet fulfilling to solve.

It is also heartbreaking that his grandmother who raised him and always supported him died even before they reached the success they had now. I cried when Ken was crying about, he wanted to give back apll the love he received. It's just so sad but I am sure his grandma is so proud of him.

14:26 - My only nitpick is this part. Chuck made it sound like Ken's grandma hindered or in a way said NO to him. However, according to Ken, he confided to his grandma because he trusts her. She doesn't have money to give to Ken for his flight to Manila. He asked her to borrow some from his (Ken's) aunt. Her grandma had reservations of course but she did not limit Ken. I recommend that you watch the Kwentong Juan ep 5 and 6. Each SB19 member told their own stories.
Ken has an intensive 2hr interview in Dougbrock TV and the rollercoaster of emotions during that time gave me palpitations. It would make you love and understand him even more.

I love him because of his character someone that I can relate with.
I think something that gets lost often in the discussion about his introversion/shyness/standoffishness/"arrogance" is that, especially in the earliest days, we're talking about someone who was a native Bisaya speaker trying to make it in an industry of primarily Tagalog speakers. Language barriers - even small ones - have a huge impact on how you carry yourself and how you are perceived.

They said your bias usually has the same personality of the fan (not all the time but mostly), I completely agree. I am introvert and shy, but there are times that I can be hyper and talkative in a specific situation.

Hi! I am in my senior years but when I came across Stell when I watch Disney opening promo in the Philippine in YT. I did search on Stell that he is SB19. So, I did search their group but I watch their interview with Toni, Kwento Juan because they did narrate their life. Casual Chuck YT put them together and their very sad, difficult journey made me in tears because they were bashed, insulted, and mock because they look ugly. These young men put God in the center of their life especially Pablo and the rest were also prayerful. Their beginnings were really a struggle. Riverse also said they are inauthentic. Wherein I did search how to defend them, thank God to Yahbnf he said what he had said and I went to Riverse YT and give them what Yahbnf said. It maybe late than never lol. I am
