- The video explains one of the ancient art of tulunadu I.e, weaving the leaves of coconut palm branches. Method of weaving them, precautions and its uses are explained in this video.
This is called as 'Madal Tatti' in Tulu. And it is used for roof of house, pendals and sundrying the pappads and so on...
This skill is very attractive too..

Bhagavaane! Even now I remember ola madal(woven coconut leaves) kept one upon the other in the shed for roofing purpose later. All the women and men in and and around Malabar in olden days had known this art. Another art was making geometrical shaped balls for the children, making little baskets for flowers and making parrots . Thanks Sudarshan for bringing it to public notice.
