Hello and thanks for your effort here. Had been on Arcoxia 90mg and Ibuprofen 400mg for almost 6 years now, but have recently started Cosentyx 150 as my rheumatologist instructed. It reduced pain with about 50% after the first dose, just had the second today and I hope the side effects will stay away from me and all will be good. Good luck to everyone and keep fighting this bastard!

Brilliant video as always, thank you !!
Starting my first biologic treatment next week (Yufkyma) 😬 Just wondered, does biologic treatment suppress fatigue?

      Good luck with the biologic!
It won't directly help with fatigue, but the idea is that it suppresses the immune system area that causes all the problems, therefore (in theory) fatigue should be less.
I'm going to be totally honest with you though, the fatigue will never really go away fully

@@paulbenton5298 being always in pain, having difficulties in sleeping more than 4 hours connected leads to fatigue. No pain => better rest & sleep => less fatigue. Good luck fighting this bastard!

The specialist I saw a few weeks ago could see I didn't want to take any drugs and said we'll see you in a year. I got the impression the NHS get money from prescribing drugs. Oh they do!!

I'm not sure where they'd get money from to prescribe drugs. They have a budget to adhere to, and so it might be a case of if they don't spend the budget, they will be assigned less for the following year.

By the way, do you workout if you have a flare-up? And regarding taking medication, do you know how much it affects the muscle growth verses the inflammation which prevents muscle growth?

I don't do any working out even at my best, it's just not something I could entertain unfortunately. There are people on here that have AS that still workout though.
That's an interesting question about muscle growth, but I don't really have any knowledge in that area, sorry!
