I remember being introduced to this anthem during an RSCM event at Princeton Uni, back in the 70s.
IMHO best done with a big choir.
Those were the heady days of Anglican church music. great choirs, Great music. We have slid so far down to musical pablum. Even those small handful of M&B choirs are struggling. The relevancy of the 80s and 90s has planted the seed of banality. Few children being trained to do their best results in Madison ave leading the musical fare in most parishes.
Curios the RC tinge to the photos. Good Choirs of boys or girls, in America are part of the past, even scarcer in RC churches.
