    A little tip, which I do a lot in Switzerland to discover the real beauty, is to turn off motorways on the maps app, or avoid tolls, you discover such beautiful places!

    Perhaps worth noting that the train from Luzern to Interlaken follows the "nice" route, the views are amazing. The train (a narrow gauge rack railway) climbs up and down the separating mountain range.

    • @SwitzerlandInsider

      Abhishek M hey, both are very nice, although very different. However check the weather forecast for oeschinen lake before as there might still be a lot of snow ❄️❄️

    2:48 at the bottom of the mountain pass is reduced speed limit and always a hidden speed camera! a lot of people get flashed there because it's a steep Road and you must keep the foot on the brake constantly

    Finally a video for people who prefer driving! Could you tell me or direct me to where I need to park in interlaken so we may get to Grindlewald

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can drive to grindelwald. If you dont want to there is a car park in wilderswil for chf 5per day (only day no night) and then you can take the train. Also make sure you drive into lauterbunnen valley, really magical drive!

    this summer I would recommend the scenic route @Lake Brienz via Brienz to Interlaken . There are 2 construction sites with traffic lights on the highway (waiting times). Greetings from Interlaken

    Thanks a lot. Been watching a lot of your videos and helped me a lot planning mo road trip soon. By the way, how do u pay tolls? Is there like a toll booth where u need to stop, get a ticket and tap your credit card similar to what I experienced in France recently?

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for this heartwarming comment 😄 in switzerland you pay toll with a yearly sticker, that we call vignette. You can buy it at the border, or at newsagents or gas stations. It costs CHF 40 and is valid for a year. You then need to stick it on your windshield from the inside. If you have a rental car from switzerland, then the sticker should be there already 😊 so no toll booths! hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions and tag me so i can see it 👌 have fun!!

    • @SwitzerlandInsider

      @@alibahzad7424 it doesnt matter really. If you come by car you will go and have to put the car on a train cart that goes through a tunnel because the mountain passes are closed. So you will have both! 😄

      You wont be able to go swimming but the road will be cleared of snow if there is some! I would argue that the mountains look even better when they have some snow cover ❄️😄

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adimas Guntur yeah I think they just dont want you to park overnight as in Switzerland camping is usually done in official camping grounds. One that is very close to this spot and really nice is Campingplatz Brienz. ☺️

    Don't drive this route on a week-end! From 17:00h to 20:00h xou'll be stuck in a traffic jam towards Interlaken thanks to all the folks who spent a day in the Bernese Oberland and head back home.
