Great job compiling all the drill codes in one page! Keep in mind that Joan Diamond Paints has tried to use the dmc codes to sort her stash of special drills and she found that they were way off. It's a lot easier to just sort special drills into color categories and then eyeball the closest match to the desired dmc code you want to swap it for on any given canvas. I am assuming that's what we all plan to do with these extra crystals. I recommend storing them into a system where you can easily pull out all of one shade to do a match up.
I don't store mine by DMC code, just by eyeball like you suggest. Sometimes the colors are so close, I can't tell the difference! I am looking for a good way to store my extras visibly - like a spice rack with jars so I can see what I have to use. Still trying to work out the best way to do that!
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous a spice rack would be excellent because you can just quickly go to the colors you need without having to pull out a bunch of boxes or cases even. I'm always looking for new ideas.

Wow, thank you for sharing your hard work, teacher! This will come in so handy for a side project I am working on that uses crystals! I ordered a ton and I was just looking at them... blinking. Lol. I was wondering, quite literally today, how I was going to color match them with DMC. And *poof*, trumpets play and your video pops up.
p.s. I've also ordered ab jellies, which I've never seen before, so that's another palette I have to figure out, lol.

Thank you. I am working on a painting that has crystal's (my first) so this is helpful when I kit down.
I like the idea of eyeballing leftover drills. That way you don't have tons of different drills everywhere. There are 447 DIFFERENT DMC colors. Many are no doubt very similar so that's good. Way less confusion.

What a wonderful job! I have a box full of bags of crystals, lol, some with numbers and some without. It's been making me a bit crazy since I have organized all of my other drills. You have much more patience than I do, but I will for sure print this out and see if I can get some order out of that box of bags, lol. Wow, I'm so impressed. :D

Wow what a lot of work! Thank you for that. But what are the numerical numbers in the chart from? Of course, I know what the DMC codes are but I was wondering what the other numbers correspond to.
The other numbers are used to designate the colors of the crystal rhinestones. The chart lets you know which crystal color/DMC color is the same in case you want to use them in projects.

I look at same page on Amazon and was cheaper to order a set of all 175 crystals. I ordered and am hoping they have the DMC number on the bag so I can make a list as well. Now I'll just use your list and let you know if they have the numbers on the bags and match. Hopefully order will be here soon. Thanks for all your research!

@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous Just fyi, I finally received my packet of crystal drills of all the colors. All just have a DMC code on them. They do not have what ppl are calling a "crystal code" on them. For the $20 it was worth it. Now I have all the crystals and can just match up others when they do not have the code.

Thank you for this. While you were searching did you come across the Alpha code for each of the crystal shapes? I have been trying to find that to help me sort my spare crystals. They use the same number but put a letter like L, S, Y to identify the shape.
Ooh, I have not! I’ll note that down and put it on my ‘to research’ list!
