His skills are unrivaled in the Jedi Order(for his age), plus he's been "above others" of the same age(even though they were found as babies, and had more time to train). He has been singled out by his peers, and teased quite a bit(this can be found in other media aside from the movies). The prophecy was he would bring balance to the galaxy, not specically "to destroy the Sith". Thats what the jedi twisted it to mean, it's not balanced if you destroy the dark side and have only light lol, thats literally unbalanced.
Not only that, he spent the first 9 years of his life as a slave. Anakin is basically a control freak who spent his early life without any control. The only time he ever felt free was when racing because in those moments he was actually in control of his fate. Then he goes and joins the Jedi and has to follow all of these rules and try to not let his emotions get the better of him. So again, he's not really in control. Ironically, the actions he takes in order to seize control of his destiny end up trapping him in that suit and he becomes a slave to the Dark Side and the Emperor. It's only when he finally lets go of his need to control his destiny and acts selflessly to save his son that he finally becomes free.

The result of all of that is an intense, teenage puppy love. Padme is in her early 20's but emotionally she's as much a teenager as Anakin is. Teenage love is incredibly intense. You mentioned light saber colors. Fun trivia time. The Kyber crystals in a light saber are alive. Jedi build their own sabers and bond with the Kyber crystal. It projects the color most suited to the Jedi that made the light saber. Blue is a pretty basic warrior cast. They are more skilled with a light saber than the Force. Green sabers are the masters of the Force. They are skilled with a light saber but more in tune with the paranormal side of the Force. Red sabers are corrupted Jedi sabers. Sith don't build light sabers. They must get theirs by killing a Jedi and corrupting their light saber to work for the Dark Side. It is red because the Kyber crystal is suffering. Like it's bleeding. White light sabers are rare. They are red Sith sabers that have been reclaimed/rescued by a pure Force user and healed by the Light Side of the Force. Hopefully, you get to see some pretty special white light sabers in action someday.
Can't wait for you to see the next one! Seeing how much you relate to Anakin, all I'm going to say is make sure that you have a box of tissues with you. Also, with how much you love the franchise, I recommend checking out the series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars". It's a 7 season long series that bridges the gap between this episode and the next one. Some of the best stories of the franchise are told through it.
Also a candidate for best stories in the franchise: the Legends books. Especially the Thrawn trilogy, X-wing series, Black Fleet Crisis trilogy, Shadows Of The Empire, and Joe Schreiber's 2 zombie novels.
"His size really is an advantage here." No. Size matters not. Judge you by his size, do you? For his ally is the force, and a powerful ally it is. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter...
The Star Wars prequel trilogy is a great masterpiece, it gives a real political context to better understand the events of the original trilogy, there are more planets like Naboo, Coruscant, Mustafar, Utapau, there is a lot of creativity in the settings, the lightsaber fights and the action scenes are more fluid, dynamic and better paced, there are a lot of emotions, the characters are very endearing, Anakin's journey is very well told from the beginning because he starts his switch to the dark side as soon as Qui Gon dies in episode 1. Yes, if Qui Gon would have trained Anakin, he wouldn't have become the monster he became, Anakin didn't need a brother like Obi-Wan but a father like Qui Gon, and his switch continues in episode 2 with the death of his mother, a scene that is so sad by the way. And Palpatine had the power over Anakin since his childhood, because at the end of The Phantom Menace, Anakin starts to side with the Emperor, proof that his destiny was all set, and this is also illustrated in episode 2 with the shadow of Anakin that forms the mask of Vader. And his love story with Padme is very well done because it's sad to think that he lost his great love because of the emperor, and we really hate the emperor and it's a relief when Vader takes the emperor and throws him into the void in Return of the Jedi because it's all his fault. The emperor is also better developed in the prequels than in the original trilogy since he is really shown as a manipulative cunning. The fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin gives more weight to their reunion in the Death Star in episode 4. There are memorable characters like Darth Maul, Obi-Wan McGregor, Anakin Skywalker and Darth Sidious, great scenes like the pod race, the fight with Maul and the one with Yoda and Palpatine and Obi-Wan and Anakin, the battle of Geonosis and in the prequels, we learn more about the history of the Empire with the fall of the Republic and we learn more about the Sith, and the actors are great.
Watch the clone wars animated series then,, star wars rebels ,,Some of the best stuff in Star Wars is in Those two animated series a big part of Star Wars... then the bad batch , Then you can watch the Mandalorian Either way you got a long Way to go ,,to get the full story.. @Pinkie Love... I was thinking the same thing about Sabine. Good call! I agree. She would enjoy watching those series you recommended. I would only change the watching order slightly and watch the Bad Batch last. When the Bad Batch was written, it has Mando characters in it, and seeing those characters on the Bad Batch prior to watching Mando won't have the same impact. I am a RELEASE order supporter.
@@tiredoffools8929 Towards the end I wasn't going in any particular order...lol Yes release is best since there's gonna be a season 2 of the bad batch anyway
@@3DJapan I actually wasn't a fan of the animation at first either. I will tell you that the stories are what make the series, and each season the style not only grew on me, but it got more advanced. In fact, the very last season of THE CLONE WARS, arguably has some of the best Star Wars content ever created. It has all the character growth that we were missing in the prequels, and actually makes the prequels enjoyable to watch again. If you are a fan of The Mandalorian... you will enjoy the stories of THE CLONE WARS. Mando is just a live action extension of it. You don't have to watch The Clone Wars Movie as it wasn't good and doesn't do anything for the rest of the series. I'd argue it takes away from the TV Series. Hopefully if you are a SW Fan you give it another shot in the future.
It certainly is a contrast seeing the prequel trilogy. You have the transition from an era of light turn into an era of dark. The original trilogy is an era of dark finishing off with the light of a happy ending. Watching Star Wars The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars The Bad Batch, and The Mandalorian helps fill your understanding of the universe with the different characters involved. If you are looking to engross yourself in the Star Wars universe, I would recommend those shows to help build on what you got from the movies.
Hi Blue. It's great to see you continue your journey into Star Wars. I look forward to your reaction to Episode III. When I first saw it in theaters, I felt so bad for Anakin and truly understood his descent into the dark side. So much tragedy coming up. But don't worry, we'll be here watching it with you. ✌🏻
Loving your reactions to this franchise! Thanks to Magy for sitting in on some of them. Please, please, please react to the Clone Wars movie and series, Rebels, Bad Batch, Mandolorian, Rogue One and Solo, and possibly Book of Boba Fett as it may be out by the time you finish the previously mentioned content. After all of that is when you should venture into the sequels. They are visually spectacular, and have moments of brilliance, but from my experience, while giving you cameos and fan service in one hand. The other hand is slapping your face by going against the established lore and story. Like Han says in one scene "That's not how the Force works!" Not saying not to watch, because that would be wrong on my part. Just saying to pay attention to the story direction, and please don't be afraid to ask questions.
The Jedi could’ve saved themselves so much trouble if they’d just sent someone to free Anakin’s mother and set her up on a nice planet far from him like Naboo maybe. Instead they let Anakin deal with a decade of worrying about his mother and who when he finally reconnects with her it’s just as she dies after being tortured for a month. The emotional scarring from that had a major affect on Anakin and ultimately would be key to his turn to the Dark Side. It negatively affected him going forward, so everything that pushed him more and more to the Dark Side had that original fuel of what had happened to his mother.
@@JechtTheLegend Obi-Wan was trained in Ataru by Qui Gon, but switched to form three, Soresu. According to Mace Windu, Obi-Wan became the ultimate master of that form.
Dooku is Qui Gon Jin's teacher from the first film and Yoda's student. He became disillusioned with the order and left after the death of Qui Gon. He joined the opposition of the planets who wanted to leave the Galactic Republic due to excessive taxes, banditry, corruption and inaction of the Jedi. While slavery reigns in the galaxy, the Jedi quietly sit in their temple and engage in political intrigue. The opposition planets called themselves the Trade Confederation and these are their droids from the first movie. Later, Dooku will be contacted by Darth Sidious and take Dooku as an apprentice. Darth Sidious ordered an army of clones in order to crush the forces of the Confederation and strengthen his influence in the galaxy.
Hey 👋 girl. It's time to watch episode 2 and this is a big one. This movie 🎥 does a great job 👏 filling out the plot, and really leads to the finalie of the trilogy 👏
Since Disney used the sound again for the Mandalorian I'd say there isn't any need to change your mind because you are absolutely right! I still remember the first time I heard this scene, I had a surround sound system in my room, when the sound dropped the entire house shook!
That wasn't a parachute, it's something called a solar sail, which is a method of space propulsion which use radiation pressure from a sun to push them.
Anakin always had issues with attachment, letting go. What you saw with the death of his mother was only a baby-step down the path to the darkside. Episode 3 is going to destroy you. Between this film and the next, the entire 7 seasons of The Clone Wars animated series takes place, and then the movie Rogue One fills the gap between Ep. 3 and 4. So much content awaits you!
There's a lot more in the gap between episodes III and IV. Solo, the Rebels TV show if I remember correctly, although it's not canon anymore Death Troopers...
Samuel L Jackson (Master Wendu) asked George Lucas if he could have a purple light saber. He wanted to stand out in the arena fight scene so he could find himself when watching the film. He had it inscribed with the words "Bad Ass"
Don't think I've been this early to a video in a long time. Glad you're enjoying the series and I hope you keep going with the movies and maybe even start fitting in some of the TV series as well. Lots of fun stuff in there as well.
I think you’re becoming a fan. You’ll love it even more once you get into the animations and series on Disney+. Comics explained is fun as well for the canon in between films/series.
Not all Sith Lords use Crimson blades.... Exar Kun a Powerful Sith, used a single handled 🔵 Blue double bladed lightsaber. And His Master Freedon Nadd used an Amber 🟠 colored saber
Yeah, but once Kyber crystals became readily available to anyone with a furnace and the knowledge of how to make them, Sith went with red, as it was capable of overpowering the natural occurring crystals the Jedi used. I'd be very interested in knowing just how strong the crystal Anakin Solo used in his lightsaber was after he spent weeks growing the Yuuzhan Vong plant and nurturing it, with daily attention and encouragement, before harvesting it. I like the idea of growing your own, and having to tend and feed and water it, teaching it, and finally you get a crystal attuned to you, and your beliefs.
After you react to the The Revenge of the Sith, I will tell you a story that Christopher Lee told just prior to his death about the connection between Dooku and Anakin's mother. 😁
People point to Anakin's "I hate sand" speech as some of the worst dialogue in the movies, but it genuinely makes sense when you consider his upbringing on Tatooine. The worst line in the whole series is Yoda's "begun, the Clone wars have." Why the hell would he call it that? It's like someone said "begun, world war 1 has." Nobody would call it that, we only call it that because of historical context. Might make sense if it was a clone army vs. clone army but it's not...
@@bigdream_dreambig not a bad explanation for it, personally it just takes me out of it a bit. Feels a bit meta and on the nose, but hey that could just be me.
Realize, first generation fans of the Original Trilogy met Yoda in 1980, learned about him, and watched him die in 1983, always having heard he was a great Jedi Master. It wasn't until after the remastered, and special editions were released that we got the prequel trilogy, and in 2002 finally saw Yoda use a lightsaber. You should've heard the audience for that scene!
Whenever I rewatch Star Wars, after this, I always watch Star Wars: Clone Wars (the 2003/Gendy Tartakovsky one, not the 3D Star Wars THE Clone Wars cartoon). Yes, I know its not canon anymore but its only 2 hours long so it just like another movie, and it ties in directly straight into Ep III. Also, being 2d animation, and being done in that Tartakovsky style, its dynamic and frenetic, and just a good change of pace for SW. Also Also, its free in TH-cam 😋😋😋
At the beginning, you said you had to watch the next one, as you couldn't wait. Think of how the original fans felt when they had to wait 4-6 years to see the next movie. But I am glad I get to see someone enjoy one of my many favourite movie franchises & remember how it made me feel.
You’re gunna love the clone wars animated series. Ani and Obi are so awesome in it
One thing you can say about Obi-wan, is that his charm is very "disarming"... 🤣 What did Mace Windu say to Jango Fett? "Where you be-headed?"
Yes, Obiwan's line was a pretty accurate prediction. He was the end of him.
The disappointment on your face when Anakin charges at Dooku made me laugh so much 😂
"His size really is an advantage here." No.
If you loved this movie, you're gonna be blown away by Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith.
Watch the clone wars animated series then,, star wars rebels ,,Some of the best stuff in Star Wars is in Those two animated series a big part of Star Wars... then the bad batch , Then you can watch the Mandalorian Either way you got a long Way to go ,,to get the full story.. The character you look the most like in star wars is Sabine Wren One of my favorite characters... She's got a similar style I could easily see you in her Mandalorian armor to give u a non spoiler look They have a short video of her th-cam.com/video/2dSJRKB8x9E/w-d-xo.html Just if you do decide to watch the animated series make sure you watch the Clone Wars first in chronological order.
To bad I don't like the art style.
18:00 how I feel about beets
"So they've always liked balls." Spaceballs.
'that boy is going to be the end of me' That is damned near an exact line spoken later... and literally true.
It's awesome that Blue supports the clone troopers. They are amazing, combative warriors who fought alongside the Jedi against the Separatists droids.
I wonder if Blue has caught on to the fact that Padme is Mathilda from Leon yet.
I think there is a story where Padme went back with that intention but she couldn't find her.
That seismic charge sound is one of the best sounds ever
Looking like "The Bride" today in the yellow.
You have to watch episode 3 with Magy. She will have been looking forward to watching that one with you since she introduced you to Star Wars.
That’s unsportsmanlike
Viceroy:This is an execution not a game
You and Maggie should watch The Clone Wars animated series one day
Yoda uses the aggressive offense based lightsaber form called Ataru. It involves a lot of jumping around.
The 4th form, Qui gon and luke used the same style.
@@JechtTheLegend Obi-Wan was trained in Ataru by Qui Gon, but switched to form three, Soresu. According to Mace Windu, Obi-Wan became the ultimate master of that form.
@@djVOME I know, I watch Star Wars Theory.
@@JechtTheLegend Cheers
@@JechtTheLegend With tears in my eyes...
You should watch the animated serie "The Clone Wars" too after watching episode III, I promise you it will be worth it.
@A S Tell me you have only seen the SWTCW movie without telling me you’ve only seen the SWTCW movie.
I always love the moment when Yoda goes little green apeshit.
“I guess it runs in the family to have one arm.”
Obi-Wan,
“Oh we’re not done yet.”
I love the fight with Jango. The ending is pure adrenaline
There is one more not numbered episode, "Rogue One" film. Events pictured in that film were right before episode 4 of main saga.
Revenge of the Sith is a masterpiece ! The best Star Wars movie 😁
13:29 When she likes the seismic charge sound effect: WELCOME TO THE FAMILY
As big a fan as I am of the Star Wars: Battlefront games...nothing I've played shows Yoda light-saber dueling as well as Lego Star Wars.
Great video! Love that you’re watching these with not a lot of context.
The Star Wars saga was not about Luke, or The Force, or the Rebellion. It's about Anakin and the impact he had on other equally flawed people.
That moment when you realize Threepio is serving in the same Tattooine homestead... that he won't remember the second time.
Hey 👋 girl. It's time to watch episode 2 and this is a big one. This movie 🎥 does a great job 👏 filling out the plot, and really leads to the finalie of the trilogy 👏
13:26 the greatest sound in star wars change my mind
Awesome reaction Blue. You really will need the tissues for Revenge of the Sith. Looking forward to it already. Keep up the awesome work. 👍
I really love the clones. They can actually aim, not like the storm troopers :D
Yoda became master of acrobatic style of combat to compensate for his short reach.
Samuel L Jackson (Master Wendu) asked George Lucas if he could have a purple light saber. He wanted to stand out in the arena fight scene so he could find himself when watching the film. He had it inscribed with the words "Bad Ass"
It actually says "Bad motherfucker"
That outfit is as fly, as a purple lightsaber!
Don't think I've been this early to a video in a long time. Glad you're enjoying the series and I hope you keep going with the movies and maybe even start fitting in some of the TV series as well. Lots of fun stuff in there as well.
25:01 I heard that Samuel L. Jackson insisted that his light Saber be purple so he would stand out from the others.
That should have been the subtitle for the whole Star Wars series: "The Force, Bitch!"
I think you’re becoming a fan. You’ll love it even more once you get into the animations and series on Disney+. Comics explained is fun as well for the canon in between films/series.
With the way he lost his mother like that, you'd think Darth Vader would nuke Tatooine way sooner than Alderaan...
25:08 there's actually a reason for this, basically they can make a crystal bleed and it's color turn red
I always assumed it was because he and other jedi masters had foreseen and named them, since they can see bits of the future.
@@bigdream_dreambig not a bad explanation for it, personally it just takes me out of it a bit. Feels a bit meta and on the nose, but hey that could just be me.
Having a clone of yourself, connected telepathically, with one in America and one in Europe is great . . . when it works.
I remember not being able to hear the fight because people cheered 😂
Whenever I rewatch Star Wars, after this, I always watch Star Wars: Clone Wars (the 2003/Gendy Tartakovsky one, not the 3D Star Wars THE Clone Wars cartoon). Yes, I know its not canon anymore but its only 2 hours long so it just like another movie, and it ties in directly straight into Ep III. Also, being 2d animation, and being done in that Tartakovsky style, its dynamic and frenetic, and just a good change of pace for SW. Also Also, its free in TH-cam 😋😋😋
Obi-Wan Kenobi... cutting off the arms of ne'er-do-wells in intergalactic watering holes since the Old Republic.
so cute
Trix, is that your own artwork in the background, or pieces people have sent you?

My question for Blue is:
How do you feel about sand?
Up next is Revenge of the Sith, then I recommend watching both Clone Wars animated series and the film, Rebels and then The Mandalorian
To those who hate the movie because of the romance betwean Padme and Anakin i say :
Still a better love story than TWILIGHT !
At the beginning, you said you had to watch the next one, as you couldn't wait. Think of how the original fans felt when they had to wait 4-6 years to see the next movie. But I am glad I get to see someone enjoy one of my many favourite movie franchises & remember how it made me feel. I've noticed in a couple of videos, you have been wearing what was called chokers(neck bands) in the 70s(No idea if they are called the same thing now). Funny how things came back into fashion now and then
They’ve always liked balls the bad guys no judgement intended I’m sure
31:37 A solar sail, it charges the ship´s energy.
